Job summary

Neighbouring the beautiful Shipley Lake, Samuel House is a purpose-built care home offering a warm, welcoming community where residents receive personalised and attentive care.

Ideally situated just five minutes from Heanor town centre and fifteen minutes from Derby, our home is perfectly placed for families and loved ones to visit and enjoy the inviting atmosphere.

Built on the former site of the much-loved American Adventure Park, Samuel House provides a full range of tailored services — including residential, dementia, and respite care — all designed to support the unique needs of every individual.

Our spacious bedrooms feature ensuite wet rooms, smart TVs, and mini-fridges for comfort and convenience. Residents can also enjoy a variety of on- site amenities, including attractive gardens, a hair and beauty salon, a cinema, and a library.

At Samuel House, our experienced team take the time to understand each person’s preferences, delivering truly tailored care and support with kindness, respect, and compassion.

3 days on, 3 days off shift patterns

8am to 8pm

The Role

Leading and supervising your shift
Case managing residents and liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that the best care plans are created and delivered
Administering and recording medication
Carrying out risk assessments
Working alongside care assistants to support residents with daily needs, ensuring residents remain as active and independent as possible
Working closely with the leadership team to develop services
Provide a fun, inclusive, and professional approach at all times

About You

NVQ Level 3 in health and social care desirable
Be well-organised, IT literate and adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately
Proven ability to lead and supervise others
A good understanding of care planning processes
Be experienced in or happy to undertake training on administering medication
Above all, have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling
