Cornish care home sold

The Exeter Office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, is pleased to report the sale of Eshcol House Nursing Home in the coastal location of Portscatho, near Truro in Cornwall. The 31-bed registered home overlooking Gerrans Bay has been sold to Qumran Care Ltd of Newquay. Naeem Ahmad of Qumran Care also owns Qumran Care Home in Newquay and was looking to expand operations in the county. Following extensive negotiations, the business was sold for a sum in excess of the asking price.

John Crocker of Christie + Co commented on the sale: “We had sold this home to Mark and Gill Fairhurst 16 years ago, and were pleased to act on their behalf so that they can now concentrate on their other home in Cornwall.”

Other sales of homes handled by the Exeter Office of Christie + Co include The Manse in St Newlyn East, Dene Court in Exeter and Renaissance Care Services in Torquay. All of these completed within the last month.
