DWA Architects are pleased to announce the sucessful completion and registration of Minster Grange, York.
Completed in Spring 2012, Minster Grange provides residential and nursing care for 73 elderly residents who may be frail or living with age related dementia. Additionally there are 10 beds for young persons with physical disabilities
Ancillary features are housed at the roof level. At lower floors accommodation is split into self contained units housing no more than 21 people. Bedrooms exceed minimum area standards and have ensuite showers and toilets.
Residents have a choice of day rooms and activity rooms as well as a hair salon. Spacious gardens are accessible to all residents via lifts, and upper floors have terrace areas locally.
The building is designed to exceed current regulatory standards and has achieved a BREEAM ‘very good’ rating
