The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout England and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
The awards are made up of 19 categories across 9 regional rounds, finishing with the UK finals held in 2014. For the third year running Towergate Patrick will be sponsoring The Home Care Worker Award. This award recognises the significant role of the Home Care Worker in consistently providing a high quality standard of care, for people living in their own homes. This category looks for Home Care workers that:
• Give an excellent service to clients
• Understand and demonstrate treating each person as an individual by giving a personalised service
• Help people to be more independent wherever possible
• Respect people's right to privacy
• Involve clients and their relatives/carers in the development of their care
• Has examples of putting in extra effort for clients - 'going the extra mile'
Towergate Patrick has over 30 years' experience of providing insurance for the care sector. We work with individuals and organisations across the care industry including residential and nursing homes, retirement villages, and domiciliary care agencies. We are very proud to be a part of the Great British Care Awards again this year and it's not too late for you to be involved either!
