Special education expert Allison Hope-West has joined the Priory Education Services after being appointed as the team’s new director of autism.
The Priory Group runs specialist young adults’ residential homes throughout the UK as well as other services assisting young people with the complexities of autism and Asperger’s syndrome through education, therapy and care provision.
Ms Hope-West’s previous roles in the field of special education include being a head teacher, head of education and director of SEN placements.
She is currently a tutor in Med Autism at Birmingham University and has published a guide for parents and professionals 'Securing appropriate Educational Provision for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.'
Commenting on her new role at The Priory Group, Ms Hope-West said: "This is an exciting time to be joining a progressive care and education specialist with an excellent reputation in the sector and exciting plans for the future.
"I am looking forward to working with the team and the students to build on the already excellent provision and further develop best practice."
