carehome.co.uk, has joined forces with Swift Shift, which helps care homes manage their workforce, to launch a survey to raise greater awareness about pay and the sector’s use of agency staff.

Assaf Shalvi, chief executive of Swift Shift said: “There has been an increase in discussions around zero-hour contracts, the discrepancy in pay for care workers, and shortage of skilled healthcare workers. One source quoted as many as 200,000 care workers not earning the minimum wage, which is something we can all change by working together.
