The ladies, gentlemen, and staff at Asquith Hall celebrated their 1st anniversary as part of the Towerview Care family. It has been exactly one year since the Towerview Care Group took over the nursing and mental health care home in Todmorden.

Entertainers Maria Manchester and Bernie Costello provided a touch of glamour to the party with a mixture of songs old and new to cater to everyone’s tastes.

They performed in front of the home in the warm afternoon sunshine with many of the ladies, gentlemen and staff jiving and waltzing around the courtyard.

The homes kitchen team whipped up a fantastic spread of tasty treats, a local ice cream van popped a long to keep us all cool and the activities team made everyone had a fantastic day.

Gemma Foster, Asquith Hall’s registered manager, said, “Thank you to everyone that attended yesterday’s celebrations at Asquith to mark the 1st anniversary of joining the Towerview Care family. The day was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We would like to give thanks to our wonderful ladies and gentlemen for making the day a truly rememberable one! Between the copious amounts of ice cream, singing and jiving, you brought much joy to the day and we are glad we managed to capture so many smiley faces to treasure.

Thank you to the forever supportive relatives of our ladies and gents, your continued support, understanding and patience through these unprecedented times is greatly appreciated.

Although you could not be here in person, we have captured many pictures and videos of your loved ones during the celebrations and will be sharing these with you in due course.

A huge thank you to our truly amazing staff teams! You all shine bright like diamonds daily and we could not do this without your valued support, commitment, love, and care.

Last but not least, thank you to the activities team for the preparations, you excelled yourselves as always. Here’s to first of many – Happy Anniversary.”

Shirley Rowe, Managing Director of the Towerview Care Group, said, “Our first year has just flown by and Asquith Hall has seen so many changes and come through the COVID Pandemic.

"They received lovely appreciation from the local fire and ambulance service on the weekly clap for carers, and they very much appreciated lots of treats along the way from the local community.

"I am so very proud of the team, families and their loved ones. Their kindness and welcome we received has been phenomenal. Together we will grow the service and support them to be a shining light in the care sector and a centre of excellence.”
