Springfield Healthcare are now officially ambassadors for the charity Orchid. Last week, the CEO of the Orchid delivered ambassador training to 11 staff members at Springfield Healthcare. These team members are already trained wellbeing ambassadors, some are also qualified MHFAiders.
Adele Burton, Employee Wellbeing Lead at Springfield Healthcare, said “The training was excellent and we all learned so much. We are now fully informed on the signs and symptoms of three cancers that can affect anyone born male (prostate, penile and testicular) and we have the understanding and knowledge to share and signpost individuals for help. In addition, we are all now ambassadors for an amazing charity.
We received models to demonstrate how prostate cancer can feel which we can share with our colleagues, residents, families and friends.”
Orchid rely on fundraising and donations, so our teams are already planning a number of events to raise the much needed funds for the very important work they are doing.
