Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Day 2024

We have been celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Day 2024 at Friary Care this week.

This year we have added touches of pink to the home to represent breast cancer awareness for all the women in our lives, but this year we have also added touches of blue in order to represent the fact that breast cancer can also affect the men in our lives as well.

Residents have decorated the home with pink and blue, showing awareness to those afflicted by breast cancer. We had tea and cake as well as making bags with lots of pink and blue sweets that we sold on to raise funds for a breast cancer charity, as well as showing our suppport by staff and residents wearing pink and blue.

We also had some amazing entertainment with Connie Lee, an incredible singer who put on a show to remember for our residents and their families.

Over all we wanted to do something to show respect to those who have been affected by this awful affliction, and to raise money for charity such that we can do our part for this important cause.

Friary care raised the amount of £153.00 Well done to team Friary!
