Lindum’s Giant sunflower & Pumpkin

Residents and colleagues at Lindum House have been working hard on their allotment and have had some wonderful little harvests as a reward for their labour. We never expected two large rewards we received after such a beautiful summer and so little rain. However, we were all in awe of our beautiful sunflower when it flowered. Visitors came to see it too and were surprised at the size!

The children noticed the size of our pumpkin on one of their nursery visits and staff too were surprised at just how big that pumpkin grew! Our chef, Matt made a huge batch of pumpkin soup from it. Residents commented on just how tasty it was!
