Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Leighton House nursing home in Epsom, Surrey.
Established over 30 years ago, Leighton House on Burgh Heath Road in Epsom is a ‘Good’ rated specialist nursing home registered for up to 27 residents. It occupies a large, double-fronted detached property that has recently been significantly modified and extended to provide resident accommodation across 26 rooms, staff accommodation, and a generous office space.
It has been owned by Aims Care Group Ltd since 2001. Following a confidential sales process with John Harrison at Christie & Co, the home has been purchased by Alpha Health Care Limited, which owns two other ‘Good’ rated homes across the South of England.
John Harrison, Director – Care at Christie & Co, comments, “I am delighted to have completed the sale of Leighton House near Epsom Downs, which has developed an innovative approach to dementia care and, as a result, a strong reputation. Having known Alpha Care, an already successful operator in Surrey, for a number of years, I always felt they would be a great fit for the home, and I am sure the strong reputation of the home will continue under their ownership.
“We received a number of offers on the home and are continuing to see good demand for care homes in the South East.”
Leighton House was sold for an undisclosed price.
