Knitting Friendships Together at Woodland View Care Home

Residents and visitors at HC-One’s Woodland View Care Home in Droitwich recently enjoyed a heart-warming Knit & Natter Morning, hosted at the home’s very own Chatty Café. With coffee cups in hand, colourful yarn at the ready, and plenty of laughter filling the room, the morning was filled with lively conversation and creative spirit. Together, participants worked on crafting bright squares, slowly stitching them into something beautiful, one story and one stitch at a time.

There’s nothing quite like a cosy chat and busy hands to brighten a chilly morning, and Woodland View’s Knit & Natter Morning proved to be just that, a celebration of community, creativity, and companionship.

As the summer season draws to a close, HC-One homes across the country are reflecting on the wonderful activities that brought people together during the warmer months. From garden parties to outdoor games and summer fairs, residents have enjoyed a season full of sunshine and shared experiences. Now, as they look ahead to the colder months, Woodland View and other HC-One homes are preparing to mark key moments such as Harvest Festival this autumn, offering more opportunities for residents, families, and the wider community to come together.

Woodland View is just one of over 280 kind and cosy HC-One care homes across the UK, each dedicated to creating warm, welcoming environments where residents can feel truly at home.
