Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Patcham Nursing Home in Brighton, East Sussex.

Patcham Nursing Home is an established care business registered for up to 30 residents and rated ‘Good’ by the CQC. It occupies an attractive 30-bedroom barn conversion with a purpose-built extension, which sits in a cul-de-sac on the northern edge of Brighton.

Following the confidential sales process with John Harrison at Christie & Co, it has been sold to SDR, a privately-owned housing and social care provider based in East Sussex.

Rupert Corney, CEO at SDR, comments, “We were delighted to be introduced to Patcham Nursing Home in Brighton by John. We immediately felt that it would fit very well in our portfolio and that the home was well run by Vicky and her team. Our focus will be to maintain the home's warm and caring environment. With the support and resources of SDR, we look forward to investing further in the home to realise its full potential for residents.”

John Harrison, Director – Care at Christie & Co, comments, “I am delighted to have completed the sale of Patcham Nursing Home again, having also sold it before in 2013. It is a very rare opportunity to find, and, as SDR had purchased care homes through us before, I felt it would be a great addition to their group as it is so well established, is located close to them, and has always enjoyed a good reputation.”

Patcham Nursing Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
