Impressive Durham care home sold

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of West Lodge Care Home in Crook, Durham.

West Lodge Care Home is a family-run residential care facility that specialises in the provision of dignified care and support for the elderly whilst promoting independence. This ‘Good’ rated care home is registered for up to 60 residents and occupies a 2008 purpose-built property located just off Peases Lane in Billy Row, a village on the outskirts of Crook in County Durham.

The home has been owned by the Higginbotham family since 1989 and was brought to market due to their desire to retire.

Following a confidential sales process with Hayley Hughes and Julie Kitson at Christie & Co, it has been sold to The Prestige Group, which owns nine other homes across the North East.

West Lodge Care Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
