THURSDAY 1st OCTOBER: NATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PEOPLE
Residents and staff will be joining together for a social afternoon to celebrate National Day of Older People.
SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER: GRANDPARENTS DAY
Residents and staff will be joining together for an afternoon of sharing memories, enjoy some music and refreshments.
MONDAY 5th OCTOBER – FRIDAY 9th OCTOBER
HARVEST FESTIVAL BREAD COMPETITON
We will be busy getting ready for the Barchester Healthcare Bread Competition with an amazing display and continuing to collect items for Harvest Festival which will be donated to a local charity.
FRIDAY 9th OCTOBER: BARCHESTER HEALTHCARE CARE AWARDS
Staff and residents will be joining together to celebrate with those nominated for Barchester Care Awards and we will find out if Jean Collyer (Divisional volunteer of the year) has won National Volunteer of the year!
WEDNESDAY 14th OCTOBER: BRING YOUR TEDDY TO WORK DAY
Staff and residents will be showing of there favourite teddy bears and We are asking the community to send in their photos of their favourite teddy bear.
Competition is open to all ages!
WEDNESDAY 14th OCTOBER: NATIONAL DESERTS DAY
Staff and residents will be joining together for an afternoon of delicious desert tasting.
FRIDAY 16th OCTOBER: WORLD FOOD DAY
The morning will include a themed cook’s corner.
The afternoon will include an afternoon of tasting a range of world foods.
SUNDAY 18th OCTOBER: CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE DAY
We will be celebrating Chocolate Cup day with some delicious cupcake tasting!
MONDAY 19th OCTOBER 2020: INTERNATIONAL GIN AND TONIC DAY!
Residents will be enjoying a themed afternoon with some Gin Tasting
FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER: WEAR IT PINK DAY
We will be holding a themed day with some outrageous Dressing up, themed refreshments and raffle to raise money for Wear it Pink!
SATURDAY 24th OCTOBER: MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY
Residents and staff will be finding way to make a difference to the community!
MONDAY 26th OCTOBER: PUMPKIN DAY
We will be busy carving Pumpkins for Halloween: We will also launch our Pumpkin/ Halloween competition whereby we would like the local community to send in their pictures of their pumpkins and Halloween displays, Prizes to be won!
