Celebrating Chinese New Year - Barchester Westwood House Care Home

This week we are celebrating Chinese New Year-the year of the OX. The year of the OX has not happened for 60 years and is a hardworking zodiac sign. It usually signifies movements, so hopefully, the world will be less static than last year and will get moving again in the second half of the year.

Ruth has organised a session with the Residents where they are discussing all Buddhist beliefs, looking at Mantras and all about the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Our lounge is decorated with Chinese hanging lanterns and wall tapestries and the Residents have been making, colouring and painting Chinese fans.
