We are happy to announce that residents at Wilsmere House in Harrow Weald will be treated to a ‘Creating V&A Dundee’ virtual talk, generously provided by V&A Dundee, on 13th of April.
The residents will have the opportunity to discover the fascinating story behind the origins of V&A Dundee – Scotland’s design museum and the latest addition to the country’s list of instantly recognisable buildings.
Also, hear how the history of the city and site inspired the architect to draw from a range of unusual sources to create a thoroughly modern museum that is as intriguing as it is complex. Discover the building’s secrets and follow the entire design and construction process – from initial concept to opening celebration – with incredible images that show the challenges involved as well as the ingenious solutions that the designers and construction teams required to bring V&A Dundee to life.
The virtual activities are specially designed and tailored to the interests of the residents.
