Date: Friday 11 Nov 2022
Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day or sometimes Poppy Day, is commemorated every year on and around 11 November.
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare during the First World War.
In many parts of the world, people observe a two-minute silence at 11am every 11 November, to remember those who lost their lives during the First World War as well as in more recent conflicts.
Queen's oak will be decorating the home for this occasion and there also will be a 2 minute silence. Each resident will receive a poppy and watch the service on television
