I visit, usually a couple of times a week, to see my sister and brother-in-law. My sister looks so well and is back to her old self in that she remembers all family birthdays etc., and is able to prompt me when it's time to produce a card! Although mobility is a big issue with them both, they can still walk to the dining room and back when needed. Two separate rooms but sharing one in the daytime is lovely! Although going into a care home is never an easy choice or an ideal situation, they are both getting nursing care when needed which is essential and so good to know they are safe. It''s lovely to hear, especially bro in law, having a laugh with carers, nurses and tea ladies/gents. Thank you.
Having to make the decision to place our parents into a care home was very hard, but one manager was super efficient and very kind to accommodate them. All staff are very friendly and hardworking. We are happy that they are cared for very well. There are lots of activities for residents and they are actively encouraged to join in. Mum and Dad haven't been there very long, but are both extremely happy with everything to do with Aslockton Hall up to now. Thank you, everyone for making them and us feel so welcome.
Dad was here first & then Mum. Both treated with care & dignity. Very happy with the service. Friendly & compassionate. Thank you.
My wife moved into Aslockton Hall in October 2024, originally for respite care, health and mobility problems prevented her returning home. My own health and mobility problems deteriated at this time and I decided to move into the care home during December 2024. After being in the care home a few weeks, we think we made a good choice, although we have separate rooms, with help and kindness of care staff we are able to spend our days together. We have combined our thoughts before entering the ratings.
The staff are very caring. Very clean. They've been very good with my mother even when she was being difficult. The nursing staff have been very good at keeping us up to date on her medical condition.
Father has been in Aslockton Hall for 17 months, care cannot be criticised in any way. Staff have been exemplary in care and in dealing with any problems that have occurred. Home is always clean and well maintained. Couldn't ask for more.
Our frail, elderly mother seems very settled at Aslockton. The care she receives is good and the staff seem to really know and understand her needs.
After the move to Aslockton we have found Mum has settled into her new home very well. The care she is given is excellent and she communicates with them well.
I have both my parents in Aslockton Hall and their care has been outstanding. Both Mum and Dad have different issues but they have built good relations with carers / nurses and general staff. They are both very happy at Aslockton and I will do everything I can to make sure they can stay and most importantly be together. I feel the care provided has stabilised my Mum and although Dad's mobility issues are definitely getting worse he is being very well cared for and I certainly appreciate not having to worry about them both every day.
My mum has settled well into Aslockton and both of us think the staff have been supportive, kind and friendly. With a combination of good food, 24/7 care, plenty of activities, my mum has fully recovered from her fractured hip and is happy.
Mum spent a trial 3 day respite at Aslockton Hall before planning to stay for a longer respite visit during the summer months. As she has reached a considerable age now she has been trying several rest homes during the last couple of years in the search for one she might wish to move to permanently when the time comes. I believe Aslockton is possibly her favourite, she found it very comfortable, her room was nice and all the residents friendly. The food was good. As her visit was short and included the weekend there was only one session of activities available, but as the weather was so nice she was able to sit outside with other residents which she enjoyed. Her only negative, she felt they were slightly short staffed meaning there were delays answering call buttons , although this did not affect Mum as she is pretty independent. Speaking as a relative I was impressed with this care home, they kept in touch with me at all times. I knew Mum was safe, happy and well cared for.
I feel very confident that my Mum is well cared for at Aslockton Hall. She is treated with kindness, dignity and respect. All of the staff, from the carers, nurses, cleaners and everyone else are welcoming and friendly. If I ever have any queries they respond quickly and are reassuring. I often visit and see and hear the activities that are on offer, they are varied and inclusive. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Family and friends are also invited to activities and the Christmas and Summer fairs are brilliant. Thank you to everyone.
As a resident from February 5th 2025 to the present day I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful care I have received in this amazing care home of Aslockton Hall. The management and staff thoroughly deserve this truly amazing accolade of Excellent across the board. Very well done everyone!!
Overall excellent experience with the home, staff and mum's care. The residential manager appears to be the lifeblood of the home, always incredibly professional whilst maintaining a warm and caring persona, residents and staff alike seem to look up to her.
My Aunt has been well looked after. There is good communication from the staff to help us plan her care. She is constantly reassured and cared for, with all of her neds being met. The staff are all friendly and caring and do the best for her.
Upon moving my mother into this home, after she said that she would never go into one she has settled in really well. She says that all the staff are lovely and she cannot get over the fact that she has nothing to do herself, even though she could make herself a cup of tea if she wanted to . The home itself is like home from home, decorated to make it feel like home. It is situated in lovely grounds, with lots of places to sit out in the summer, There is nothing that the staff will not do to help and make any resident feel comfortable.
The staff are extremely helpful , friendly and very professional providing excellent care and medical support. The facilities are lovely , a warm welcoming cosy atmosphere. The management team lead from the top and nothing is too much trouble for anyone. The care and support they provided for my Mother was excellent.
I am very happy with the service provision for my father. Dad can be a little awkward at times, not helped by his hearing difficulties, but my overall experience is the staff treat him with total respect and empathy. The information portal is a very useful tool for our family to monitor dad each day and this is generally maintained in a timely and useful manner. I particularly welcome the excellent communication by phone by a couple of staff members when required to update dads medical situation where there are various issues from time to time. This is very helpful as dad will not remember events that happen and so doesn't discuss with me.
My sister in law is well cared for and is happy content in the Home. I find that she has as much contact with other residents and staff as she likes and needs. Some of rhe staff go over and above what is expected of them and this certainly contributes to her overall well being and quality of life.
