Review from Sandra M (Sister of Resident) published on 20 May 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My sister has just spent the last 15 months as a resident in Holycross, the care she received was outstanding, nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff were amazing, very friendly and extremely supportive to both my sister who was the resident, myself and my other sister. The rooms were very comfortable and large in size with most having en-suites. If there was one thing not to the highest standard was the food. I must say my sister was the fussiest person in the world to feed but having said that, I wouldn't have wanted many of the choices that were on offer. Please don't let that put you off , I would recommend this home hands down, over any others we looked at. Holy cross made the last 15 months of my sisters life so much more bearable and they did every last thing they could to make her happy and as comfortable as possible. Thank you a million times for what you all did, we will miss you all.

Best Care Home we have ever been in. We enjoy visiting our relative at the Care Home. She has significant disabilities and very poor health. Nevertheless, the staff there always supports her to maximize her strengths, abilities, and wishes and she always has some news for us. We are able to associate with other residents and able to have privacy with our relative and a cup of tea. The staff is organized and brilliant too.

My friend was admitted to Holy Cross in the final weeks of his life. Although he always wanted to see his final days at home, the care and dedication to him was exemplary and he regarded Holy Cross as home. He was warm, fed and loved by those around him.

We cannot thank you enough for everything you did to help and the support you offered to family and friends.

Overall Experience

I am a regular visitor to Holy Cross Nursing Home where my sister is a resident. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They treat the residents with care, kindness and respect. They encourage residents to take part in activities, help them when necessary and genuinely seem to care for each one as an individual. I am very relieved my sister is a resident there.

Review from M D (Regular Volunteer) published on 14 July 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I’m currently a regular volunteer but my parent was resident from 2015 to 2019. The staff have always been attentive and tried to help as much as possible. Everyone is pleasant and seems to do their best. My current role is well-supported and assistance is available when needed. Lovely to me, recognised during volunteers week by the home! Christian and caring!

Review from Amber H (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 12 October 2016 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

This is a fabulous nursing home more like a home from home much nicer than a hospital. All of the staff are so friendly and take the time to talk you through everything. My Grandad sadly passed away here and although he was only a resident for a week the staff looked after him well and made sure he was comfortable at all times. The family couldn't have chosen a better place for him.
