Aspinden Care Home is a specialist care and support home with nursing and residential care available, providing support for adults with complex needs.

Using Harm Reduction techniques, Psychologically Informed Practice and the Recovery Model as guiding principles, Aspinden Care Home provides a friendly, vibrant, residential service that cares and supports people whose health and well-being has been negatively impacted by long-term alcohol consumption, as well as other conditions (either physical or mental).

The home aims to provide a supportive and caring environment that enables residents to:

o        Better manage their personal safety, health and well-being
o        Build and develop personal resilience
o        Develop positive social relationships
o        Re-engage with families and important others
o        Prepare for independent living or move on, if that is their goal
o        Benefit from long-term care and support where they are living with alcohol brain damage caused by Korsakoff syndrome
o Engage in social activities

Aspinden Care Home also works with those residents who need help to change their drinking behaviour. Staff are trained in techniques to support residents to make safe choices concerning their alcohol intake.

Aspinden Care home is located in South East London and accommodates 256 people with a range of personal care and support needs. It is committed to promoting health, wellbeing and empowerment and to engage those they work with to create better lives for themselves by empowering them to become more independent.

Very friendly, and helpful staff, my brother was lucky to have them looking after him. They could not do enough for us on the day of my brother partis funeral.thank you all so much. Trully amazing staff. We are very thankful.

The care home was an excellent place that took care of my father. Especially his care worker and the team, who made it an amazing place for my father. They showed excellent and professional care. Which I am grateful for.

My husband used the services at Aspinden Care Home for around 10 months from May 2024 to February 2025. All the management and staff were exemplary in how they cared for him. He was always well fed with nutritious healthy food and had the benefit of the nurse at the home and the local GP practice
close by. Everyone could have not been kinder or more helpful to him in his time with them. Thank you hugely, it was very comforting for a family member to know they were in a safe place.
