Alexandra House is a warm and welcoming residential home that provides short stay respite for adults with learning disabilities aged 18 and over.
Specialist care is available for the care of adults with moderate or profound learning disabilities, people with autistic spectrum disorders and complex needs.
Alexandra House offers a home away from home environment and places each service user's wellbeing at the heart of every planning process. There is a focus on the promotion of user-led participation, individuality, and independence.
Care plans are tailored to the needs of the individual and relatives and clients are kept informed about major care decisions.

Job Title: Registered Provider and Registered Manager
Tia is the Registered Provider and Manager of Alexandra House. She holds a BSc. (Hons.) Degree in Counselling and Social Policy, Masters / Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work Studies, Supervising Student Social Work qualification (Practice Teaching) and she achieved her NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2016.
Tia worked within Children Services for 8 years and prior to that worked with women and their children fleeing Domestic Violence. She also supported adults with Learning Disabilities who are from Jewish communities. Tia has a wealth of knowledge on safeguarding issues within both Children and Adult services.
Tia is always available for you or your family to talk to and she likes to hear your views.
Job Title: Senior Support Worker (Day Service)
Gaynor leads our Day Service and holds a BA Hons. Degree in Health and Social Care / Sociology. She also completed a Diploma in Health and Social Care NVQ level 3, City and Guilds level 2 essential skills and communication number. Gaynor brings with her a wealth of experience of working with children and adults in various settings. She is attentive, considerate, activity focused and promotes the wellbeing of service users in a kind and respectful manner.
Job Title: Support Worker (Day Service)
Linda is highly experienced in working with children and has gained Diplomas 2 and 3 in Childcare and Learning Development. Linda has a passion for creativity and arts. Linda relates well with service users, demonstrates respect and utilises her creativity to promote their wellbeing. Linda also holds qualifications in Secretariat studies.
Job Title: Part Time Support Worker (Respite Service)
Belinda has years of experience working within the care sector. She attained her NVQ level 3 qualification in 2012 and has worked in various settings within health and social care services. Belinda is personable, always courteous and demonstrates respect for individuals. Despite being a part time member of the team, Belinda is very much integral to the safe running of the service and keen on promoting Health and Safety practices within the service.
