As well as a strong desire to provide an excellent service to our clients, we have the pleasure of working with some wonderful families. Thank you for our positive review, but also, thank you so very much for supporting all we do and for being who you are.

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. We love hearing from our patients and their families to find out what they think about the service we provide. I have shown your review to the team here at Stocksbridge and they were delighted that you and your brother are happy with our care and support. We could not provide the level of care we do without input from our families who make such a huge contribution to our clients' lives and their rehabilitation. We feel honoured that we are able to work with such lovely patients and families who support all of us to achieve great outcomes. Thank you! Jill Salmon, Centre Manager

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.208) out of 10 for The Daley Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 5.000 for The Daley Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 3.208 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Daley Care Centre is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 registered maximum number of service users is 4.8. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 4.8 = 0.208
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager
Joined: 2024
Hello, I’m Helen Baston, Manager of The Daley Care Centre, and a Registered Nurse with a passion for community, health, and social care.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained experience in various settings, but I’ve always been drawn to the community side of care. For me, this sector is where I can truly make a difference, helping people achieve their goals and maintain a good quality of life, no matter the challenges they face due to injury or health conditions.
I stepped into my first management role in 2015 and went on to earn a management qualification, allowing me to bridge the gap between clinical, health, and social care services. This experience has enabled me to manage facilities for children, younger and older adults, giving me valuable knowledge and skills in these areas. Now, at The Daley Care Centre, I love sharing my expertise with my team to enhance the quality of care and support our residents receive.
Outside of work, I’m a sociable person who enjoys spending time with friends and family. I also love learning new things and unwinding with a good fictional crime or detective book!
Job Title: Deputy Manager
Joined: 2016
I’m Marie Nance, the Deputy Manager at The Daley Care Centre.
I began my career as a support assistant in elderly care before completing an Advanced Nurse Access course in 2010. My initial plan was to work in a younger complex care setting for two years before moving on to university but I quickly fell in love with the work we do here. The person-centred approach and the incredible impact we have on people’s lives made it impossible to leave, and I’ve never looked back.
Over the years, I have progressed from a Rehabilitation Support Worker to Senior Rehabilitation Support Worker, and now to Deputy Manager. It has been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m proud to be part of such a dedicated team. I like to think of myself as an approachable person and a good listener, someone people can turn to when they need support.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of four, and we’re a close-knit family who love spending time together. Whether it’s swimming, walking in the local countryside, or just enjoying each other’s company, we make the most of our time together. When I do get a rare moment to myself, I enjoy a good book and a well-earned glass of wine!
