As the Payroll Analyst at Athena Care Homes, you will be responsible for processing the payroll for the teams in our seven care homes.

About the role:
As the Payroll Analyst, you will work closely with our Finance and Central Support teams, as well as the administration teams in our homes, to process the payroll for our care home team members.

Salary:
Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. 

Shift Pattern:
37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Location:
Central Office, Russel House, Basildon, Essex, SS15 6TF – this role is based in the office full-time. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll for up to 700 employees.
  • Ensure each employee receives their correct pay, on time, and that payments are representative of completed and properly authorised work.
  • SSP etc is paid correctly.
  • Ensure pension deductions are accurate.
  • Ensure advances are approved correctly and are monitored.
  • Attachments of earnings are processed properly and HMRC submissions are entered correctly.
  • Support in other areas of finance as and when needed.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in Payroll is essential.
  • Be well organised and able to prioritise, and have great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Have excellent IT skills, including MS Excel.
  • Experience is Sage Payroll is highly advantageous.
