I've been delighted with the quality of the service at Avocet Court. The cleanliness and appearance of the building inside and out is amazing. I didn't know what to expect when my father started his rehabilitation, but everything I've seen has exceeded my expectations.

Mum was sent to Amberley for rehabilitation after a stay in hospital. Her room was bright, clean and met her needs. NHS rehab staff were very active, trying to get individuals mobile again. The team leaders kept us informed of any notable points and were very approachable. The care staff are very friendly
and made mum very welcome and made her short stay as pleasant as possible. The cafe is an ideal place for visitors to join up with loved ones.
Reply from Blessy Masilamani, Home Manager at Amberley Hall Care HomeThank you for your kind feedback. We are so pleased to hear that your mother had a positive rehabilitation stay at Amberley Hall and it is wonderful to know that the NHS rehabilitation team, team leaders, and care staff provided such supportive, approachable, and welcoming care throughout her stay.
The team will be delighted to hear your comments, and it is also lovely to know that the caf provided a comfortable place for family visits.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and we wish your mother all the very best - we are always here should you need us!

We came for a celebration in one of the community areas. The lady in car park was very helpful and polite, and walked us around. Inside, we met the rest of our group. The staff were nice but very over the top in my opinion - pictures of this, pictures for that, wanting to promote. The food was a good
mixture, but hot food plate cold. The place was well decorated and generally clean. Staff just seemed nice but over the top - as if for display with family/friends.
Reply from Renju Varghese, Home Manager at Ashlynn Grange Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your visit to Ashlynn Grange.
We are pleased to hear that you found our staff helpful and polite as we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment and to capture special moments during celebrations for residents and their loved ones.
Thank you for again and we will share your feedback with our team as we continually look for ways to improve our service.

I cannot thank the care home enough for the amazing care, kindness, and support they give to every resident. They truly focus on each individual person's needs and always go above and beyond to help residents feel safe, valued, and important. The staff take the time to make every resident comfortable
and ensure all of their needs are met, no matter their circumstances. Even residents who are bed bound are still included, engaged, and treated with dignity and compassion. It means so much to families knowing their loved ones are never forgotten and are always cared for with patience and understanding. There are always lots of activities and opportunities to keep residents busy, happy, and involved. The staff are incredibly caring, patient, and kind, and they build genuine relationships with both residents and families.
I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be treated with respect, compassion, and genuine care.

Excellent level of care. Staff are brilliant. Everywhere is spotless and nothing is too much trouble. Chris is lovely. The cafe is a great feature. There is always a fresh cuppa and cake available. Care home get a lot of bad press but to put it simply, I would live here!

Forever grateful to the staff for agreeing to welcome my father from A&E "after hours". We were all shown such kindness during the time Dad was there. Dad did not like the food and was not well enough to participate in the activities. We were surprised there was no TVV in the room. Someone else's slipper
was found under Dad's bed, which made us question the cleanliness.
Thank you to everyone who cared for my father during a very stressful time. Would recommend.
Reply from Blessy Masilamani, Home Manager at Amberley Hall Care HomeThank you for your kind recommendation. We are so pleased we could support your father and family during what we understand was a very stressful and emotional time.
We are sorry to hear that your father did not enjoy the food during his stay and appreciate your feedback. We always try to accommodate individual preferences wherever possible, particularly when residents are unwell.
TV's are provided for residents who self-fund a respite stay and our long-term residents commonly choose to bring their own TV's from home for familiarity and comfort, which may have caused some confusion about provision.
Regarding the slipper found under the bed, we sincerely apologise for this oversight within our Memory Care community personal belongings can occasionally become misplaced. We completely understand how this may have impacted your perception of cleanliness. Please be assured that our home's housekeeping is very important to us and your feedback shared with the team.

Mum was taken with some other residents on a trip to the lavender farm. I met them there and it was such a happy experience. All the carers were so kind and thoughtful and everyone had a lovely time. Going out of the home where it is possible is so valuable for their mental health and happiness. A
big thank you to everyone who organised it.

My husband stayed for a week of respite care. He said he enjoyed the food and the bingo. I was reassured that all was well when I contacted the home and was told to contact as often as I needed to. He was calm and happy when I went to collect him and was in no hurry to leave. The first respite stay
was a challenge for me but I'm sure I will be more relaxed during future stays.
Reply from Bernadette Burr, Deputy Manager at Alex Wood HouseThank you for sharing your experience. We're glad your husband enjoyed the food and bingo, and that you felt reassured during his stay. Its completely natural to find the first respite visit challenging, and were pleased he was happy and comfortable. We look forward to welcoming him again.

We were made to feel welcomed on our "look around visit". My father in law has been there since the end of February 2026. All the staff are so friendly, supportive, helpful, polite and communicate with us when needed. There are lots of activities for the residents to take part in daily, and
as family we are welcomed to attend/join in. My father in law has said to me the food is lovely. Ashlynn grange is a lovely and friendly care home.

Mum has recently celebrated her 100th birthday at Ashlynn Grange which gave us a wonderful excuse to party with some of her family.
The care home provided a lovely room which had been decorated for her with banners and balloons (thank you lifestyles team) and the kitchen staff provided a delicious
afternoon tea with birthday cake and extra sandwiches.
The party was a great success.
The staff are friendly and caring and have looked after mum well over the years she has lived in Harvester Unit. They communicate with me when they need to update me on doctor check ups and any issues and keep mum safe & comfortable.
It's lovely that the Units are all on the ground floor so when the warmer weather arrives the residents are able to sit outside. Each Unit has an enclosed garden which is a safe environment for those with dementia.
