We were made to feel welcomed on our "look around visit". My father in law has been there since the end of February 2026. All the staff are so friendly, supportive, helpful, polite and communicate with us when needed. There are lots of activities for the residents to take part in daily, and
as family we are welcomed to attend/join in. My father in law has said to me the food is lovely. Ashlynn grange is a lovely and friendly care home.

Mum has recently celebrated her 100th birthday at Ashlynn Grange which gave us a wonderful excuse to party with some of her family.
The care home provided a lovely room which had been decorated for her with banners and balloons (thank you lifestyles team) and the kitchen staff provided a delicious
afternoon tea with birthday cake and extra sandwiches.
The party was a great success.
The staff are friendly and caring and have looked after mum well over the years she has lived in Harvester Unit. They communicate with me when they need to update me on doctor check ups and any issues and keep mum safe & comfortable.
It's lovely that the Units are all on the ground floor so when the warmer weather arrives the residents are able to sit outside. Each Unit has an enclosed garden which is a safe environment for those with dementia.
Reply from Renju Varghese, Home Manager at Ashlynn Grange Care HomeThank you for your sincere words following your Mum's 100th Birthday. It really was a lovely day and thank you so much for your great review about our Care Team, Lifestyles Team and Catering Team too! I will be sure to share your kind sentiments with them and we are all looking forward to being able to enjoy our gardens together with our residents and their families now that the sunny weather is here!

From our first visit to view the care home facilities, we were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the facilities for those in care.
On the first day, my wife settled into her room, which became a second home for her. Being able to visit her any time was great, the staff could not
have been more helpful and friendly. We could not have wished for a better care home close to where we live.

I've found Ashlynn grange care home is a very caring place for my mum to be looked after at this time of her life. My mum who has deteriorated in the last 8 months with dementia and various health problems. Now needing professional nursing caring. This has been a testing time for everyone from multiple
hospital stays and progression of dementia challenges. The staff at the home have been nothing but supportive and positive to my mum. I have been very pleased with the care mum has received. I appreciate everything that staff do for mum. I would recommend Ashlynn to anyone who needs to be taken care of.

I recently visited my uncle and was warmly welcomed by the Home Manager and Deputy Manager. I would like to thank them for their professionalism and kindness. The visit was a truly positive experience. I was provided with clear and comprehensive information about my uncle's care, which is deeply reassuring
and confirms that he is in excellent hands.
The staff are consistently compassionate, and I am extremely grateful to see the high standard of care my uncle receives. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the lifestyle team for their dedication, kindness, and ongoing support.

I just wanted to show my appreciation for what this care home establishment is doing for my family. My aunt who has deteriorated this last half a year has been a testing time for everyone from multiple hospital stays to rehabilitation into her home after her husband of 53 years passed away suddenly
making my aunt without a carer. She did amazing during this time but in the end, her body and mind didn't take well to this drastic change. After laughter and tears, my beautiful aunt has now a home at Ashlynn and with the first week being a challenge again with her health, the care home kept me fully informed of how they would support my aunt in and out of hospital. The staff at Harvester have been nothing but supportive and positive to give my aunty the best outcomes from double checking medication from the hospital to booking her next medication check ups. My aunt joins in weekly activities and even says she enjoys it. She has made some friends and has connected with the staff. Thankloads

This care home is lovely, and friendly faces greet you all over the site, with always smiling staff. On Dad's 97th birthday, the staff sang to him and even gave him a cake made by the chef. This is a very caring place for Dad to be looked after at this time of his life.

Ashlynn Grange has exceeded my hopes for my mum moving in. I enjoy coming to see mum - all the staff are so welcoming and friendly and helpful, and I've nearly learnt all their names. They all treat my mum with kindness and respect, which gives me a great deal of happiness and peace of mind when I'm

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.672)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.672) out of 10 for Ashlynn Grange Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 46 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 45 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.672 for Ashlynn Grange Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (381 Excellents x 5) + (128 Goods x 4) + (21 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 531 Ratings = 4.672
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ashlynn Grange Care Home is based on 45 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 156 registered maximum number of service users is 31.2, which has been reached with 45 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
