It's lovely that her room is on the ground floor so she can see the birds and squirrels from her patio doors and I enjoy being able to take her out in her wheelchair to the care home's cafe for a change of scenery and slice of cake!
There are no restrictions on visiting hours and liaison between myself and the care home staff is professional and carried out well. I am very happy that mum is at Ashlynn Grange and being well cared for.
My mother came to Ashlynn Grange during September 2018. Since coming here both her demeanour and her mobility has improved. Although I have witnessed my mother showing signs of frustration and even anger, the staff are always polite, kind and respectful. I admire their dedication and teamwork. Any issues I have noticed or queries I have raised have always been dealt with in a professional manner, I am confident that my mother is being well looked after.
During my Fathers stay at Ashlynn Grange he was well cared for, sometimes it would take time to find a carer when he needed help but they do have a lot of residents to look after.
Since care has passed from one care provider to this one, the level of care has improved immensely. Myself and my husband are very pleased with the care my mum has received over the past few months.
My father's needs are greater than some, as he has very limited mobility and requires additional nursing care. I have been very satisfied with all aspects of dad's care and he is also happy with his room, the carers and the food with no complaints whatsoever. I consider the staff to be highly competent and very caring; also friendly and informative. There are no restrictions on visiting hours and I could take dad outside (weather permitting) when he was able. The laundry service has been an added bonus.
Since my wife has been at The Harvester, the staff have been friendly, polite and helpful. They look after my wife well and tend to all her needs. The food is good and overall I have no complaints.
I find the staff very friendly and helpful and always ready to help. They are very caring to all residents and try to keep them entertained and happy by talking and having a laugh and joke with them. They always try to help with meals and try to encourage them to eat.
My wife has been a resident for the last six years plus. Although there have been staff changes, all the frontline staff, nurses, carers and domestic have always behaved in a very professional and caring way. They all have my complete confidence.
I am pleased to say that my wife is looked after very well at Ashlynn Grange Care Home. Always dressed nice and clean. I cannot fault your staff and carers in the Harvester Unit, they all do a wonderful job and work very hard in a very demanding unit. Also, they are very sociable with me. I speak as I find people and this is my true opinion of your staff and carers. Credit to them all, which they deserve.
Very, very friendly from the moment you walk in. So caring to my mother who can do nothing for herself. I feel very comforted to leave her in their hands. I know she will be well cared for and safe.
I feel at home and nothing is too much trouble.
The team make sure I have everything I need and are my family.
He couldn't walk or stand without falling.
With help from the excellent staff, he is walking with two people supporting him.
He tries to stand holding on to furniture.
Someone always comes to help him.
The staff talk to him as well and he tries to communicate with them.
In less than two weeks he improved so much he was walking with two people supporting him and is gaining confidence daily.
Before he was in bed or in an armchair.
The staff are so friendly and patient, encouraging him to walk.
It is incredible the progress he has made.
The family would like to thank all at Ashlynn Grange for the loving care and attention they have given our mother over the past year. The management and staff have been like an extended family to mum and us dealing with her sensitively in a very hard working environment and with so many working demands. The space for the residents at the home is an advantage for the pacers; good sized bedrooms with bathrooms, conservatory, dining and sitting room. We were informed of developments towards mum's passing and had access to her whatever the time. It was a huge relief to us that mum was cared for so well.
On behalf of my entire family, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and admiration for the wonderfully sympathetic and tender care received by our mother upon admission to the Ashlynn Grange facility in June 2018. The entire staff displayed such a constant tenderness and respect during a difficult time that we will never forget you.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We are so pleased that we could help in some small way during your difficult time.
Well I don't have any faults of the care home, nice and clean and the staff are very pleasant all the time and helpful and I had Christmas dinner there and that was very nice. I told the chef when I was there, I spoke to some residents.
Thank you for looking after me.
My grandmother seems very happy here at Haywood House. She enjoys the food and likes the communal areas. I have seen her involved in various activities such as painting and drawing; she has her work displayed on the wall which is especially nice to see. She says that she feels safe and secure here, so I am satisfied with her quality of care.
I would describe my experience here as very pleasant. The whole thing is good at Haywood House.
Mother was a resident from October 2017 to May 23rd, 2018 and during that time we felt very comfortable that the care she was being given was appropriate to her needs. Certain carers and managers seemed to go above our expectations and dealt with her in a most understanding, empathic and caring manner. We were regular visitors to the unit and were always made to feel welcome and able to share in the provision of care provided to her. Our only concern was that maybe the carers needed more support, as occasionally they seemed very short staffed. Overall, my mother spent her final days with people whom she trusted and was comfortable with. Making her final weeks a less traumatic time for her. We thank them all.
Thank you for your review. I am very sorry for the loss of your mother.
We always have healthy staffing levels throughout Ashlynn Grange, but do appreciate that at times when staff are engaged with other residents behind closed doors that it may appear as though there are not visibly enough staff around.
