My distant cousin has been in Ashlynn Grange for nearly 4 years. They suffer from dementia. We have visited regularly over these 4 years and our cousin is always clean, warm and well-fed, but she doesn't often know who we are.
The staff are lovely. Welcoming and ready to answer our questions and there
is a kindly feel about the house that she resides in. Brilliant job and we are very grateful that our cousin is being so well cared for.

I know that I cannot name names and that all the staff are kind nad caring but one person goes above and beyond her duties. She was a carer on Hayward was moved to Harvester and is now activities coordinator on Harvester. She really loves her job and her residents and it really shows in all that she
does. I felt I needed to air my feelings about her. She puts 100% into her job.

Our experience with the whole care home is absolutely wonderful. My nan is in Hayward but we have viewed the other units and they're the same, absolutely amazing! The staff on every unit are lovely, very welcoming, the care of the residents is brilliant, we can't fault them at all!
The activities ladies
are wonderful with the residents and are kind to the families!

My father has been a resident for over a year now and is most content here. I have found Ashlynn Grange (Milton Lodge) to offer a welcoming environment from day one, operated in a caring, professional manner. In all my visits, I have consistently observed that residents are treated with dignity and
respect; the home is kept clean and is in good order.
I have found the range of activities for residents to engage in to be both regular and varied. Their recently launched social media platform offers a unique insight into what happens day-to-day when my father cannot always recall what he’s been up to - a recent post showing a walk to a local coffee shop was particularly heart-warming as he was clearly enjoying himself. As I sit here writing this, pampering sessions are taking place around me. I would recommend AG to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.

I loved the welcome that my sister and all her family got when she entered the care home. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming, from the manager to the care staff and chef. My sister has been well taken care of since arriving. The staff take time to talk to us and understand my sister's needs.
My sister says she is well taken care of and likes the staff.

I have always been impressed by the care and consideration given to both my mother (the resident) and my elderly father who visits regularly. We are always greeted in a very friendly and professional manner. If I had a concern, it would be the frequency of Mum's showing, although I accept staff numbers
affect this.

We didn’t think Mum would enjoy being in a home but the staff have made it comfortable and homely for her. The lifestyle coordinator is wonderful and fills days with amazing activities which have brought the best out of Mum, she’s the artist we never knew! She’s always first on the floor dancing when
the music starts and she’s back to gardening.
The food is fantastic, a wonderful chef, all fresh food. Mum is happy and content.

Dad has now been in Harvester House at Ashlynn Grange since early December. He had his 91st birthday last week and we can honestly say he's not looked so good and healthy, and happy, for years.
He enjoys being involved with the activities and gets on well with all the staff who seem to be able to
get the best out of him. On his birthday last week, his room had been decorated with balloons and garlands and the staff gave him a birthday cake and sang to him. He was thrilled with the whole day and we felt that the home had gone the extra mile to help him enjoy the day.
It certainly takes a weight off of our minds knowing he is being well cared for and has the supervision of qualified staff 24/7.

Happy to share my review where my dear friend has been receiving exceptional care and support. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the compassionate staff members. The care provided goes beyond just meeting physical needs; it encompasses genuine empathy, understanding,
and respect for each resident's individuality.
The staff's dedication to creating a nurturing and comfortable environment is truly commendable. They demonstrate unwavering patience, compassion, and professionalism in every interaction, ensuring that residents feel valued, heard, and supported. Whether it's assisting with daily activities, organising engaging recreational activities, or simply lending a listening ear, the staff consistently go above and beyond to meet the needs of residents.
I sincerely recommend that anyone seeking compassionate and quality care for their loved ones.
Thank you, Milton Lodge team and lifestyle coordinator, for such great service, enthusiasm, and dedication.

My friend is enjoying her respite stay. We are very pleased with the standard of her care and the way she is treated with compassion and courtesy. The atmosphere in the home is peaceful and calm and her quality of life has improved totally, including her English language because the activity coordinator
is brilliant and has multiplied lessons with my friend to help her improve the language as she can’t speak English very well but has improved greatly since, as they are both from Portugal.
The food is excellent.

We are very pleased, as a family, that we picked Ashlynn Grange Care Home for Mum. Although she didn't settle for quite a while, she seems to have done now.
We have had a couple of problems which with talking to the management, they hopefully are sorted.
We have to say a big thank you to the lifestyle
coordinator who is fantastic, it has made such an impact on Mum as she is joining in with everything, singing, dancing, making all sorts of things, Mum is certainly far more active than she ever was. You are doing a great job.
The staff are always very happy and chatty which we love and do a great job so thank you all.
The food looks lovely, Mum just doesn't stop eating, so a big thank you to the chefs and kitchen staff. Also, the laundry keeping Mum's wardrobe always full.

My friend moved to Milton Lodge a while ago, all staff were kind and considerate, ensuring that he settled into his new home well. In addition to excellent nursing care, all the staff carried out their roles to a high standard. They gave him time, which is so very important. The lifestyle coordinator
from there tailored some activities to everyone's interests, something that he really appreciates and we loved seeing him smiling and enjoying his last years in a warm and homely habitat.

My father has been in the care home for seven months. He was transferred there following a six-week stay in hospital. He was not very well when he arrived and I feared for the future. The care and dedication of the staff have had a wonderful effect on his mental and physical recovery. I look forward
to my visits where I am always welcomed by a member of staff and usually given a brief update, "He's in a good mood this morning and ate all of his breakfast". I am so grateful to have found the right place for my father and our family. It is such a relief for us all.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.678)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.678) out of 10 for Ashlynn Grange Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 57 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 56 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.678 for Ashlynn Grange Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (480 Excellents x 5) + (153 Goods x 4) + (28 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 662 Ratings = 4.678
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ashlynn Grange Care Home is based on 56 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 156 registered maximum number of service users is 31.2, which has been reached with 56 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
