We have found this home very welcoming and a happy place. All the staff are lovely, and all seem happy in their work. My husband is well cared for in every way. He is encouraged to join in with activities. His medical needs are well cared for, and they (the staff) are always vigilant in how he is.

My initial reactions were positive from the outset. I met the Admin Manager, Lance who was kind and compassionate and explained the assessment process. The Asst Manager Bernie then visited my relative at home and she was really approachable, kind and helped ease the transition. The Manager, Julie has
also been helpful.
The staff are lovely and the cleaner does a good job. The place is warm, the gardens are really pleasant and the activities are varied and frequent.
I've raised a few matters with the staff which they wouldn't have known about him ie: how he usually dresses and they are acting on those.
On a final note, all the staff have been very welcoming to us as his family when we visit which is really appreciated.

My mother has been welcomed into Langdon house with open arms. She is supported really well in her needs and the communication with me about her care and health issues has been excellent. She is involved in activities every day and is making friends, In fact she says that she is almost too busy to
read! The system of communication about the activities which residents are involved in keeps me up to date with lovely pictures and descriptions. Mum has lovely carers who really engage with the residents and show them real love. I couldn't be happier that Mum is in such a safe and comfortable place.
Reply from Andreea Militaru, Home manager at Langdon HouseThank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are truly delighted to hear how well your mother has settled in at Langdon House and that she feels welcomed, supported, and engaged. It's lovely to know she is enjoying the activities and forming new friendships-being "too busy to read" is a great sign!
We're also pleased that our communication and activity updates are helping you feel connected to her day-to-day life. Our team takes great pride in providing compassionate, person-centred care, and your kind words mean a great deal to all of us.
Thank you for your trust!

My mum has been in Langdon House since January and I can't be happy with the care she receives. All the staff at Langdon House have been amazing with my mum. Plenty of activities and entertainment which mum really enjoys. If she is having a down day staff always try and find time to comfort her
and cheer her up.

Langdon House has such a warm and friendly feeling the minute you walk in the door, the Admin Manager and team are always helpful, friendly and please to see you and know all the residence very well, The Home Manager will always make time to discuss any issues with you,
The management team seem to
have an open door policy and will always make them selves available if needed,
The entertainment team work the same way, they organise amazing activities for the residence at least twice a day, including several external days out,
The caring team are also extremely professional, the Team Leader, Nurses, Carers, cleaners etc are always approachable and very accommodating at all times, nothing is two much trouble.
The rooms and communal areas are clean and warm, and the gardens are well maintained and used constantly through the summer months.
On the very rare occasions that there is an issue with site maintenance it is acted on very swiftly and professionally

My elderly father has been a permanent resident at Langdon House since earlier this year following falls and a period in hospital.
He was familiar with the home as had previously spent two periods of respite care.
My father has always been a very independent, private and self sufficient person. It
has been, and continues to be hard for him to accept that he needs assistance.
He has settled well and reports that he feels comfortable at Langdon House.
All members of the family who have visited have found all the staff welcoming ,friendly and caring.
My father is being very well cared for. He reports feeling 'safe and secure'.
I feel totally comfortable that my elderly father is content and well cared for at Langdon House.
Reply from Andreea Militaru, Home manager at Langdon HouseThank you very much for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback about your father's experience at Langdon House. We understand how difficult it can be for someone who has always been independent and self-reliant to adjust to needing support, and we are so pleased to hear that he has settled well and feels comfortable here.
It is wonderful to know that he feels safe and secure and that you and your family have found our team to be welcoming, friendly and caring. Providing a supportive and reassuring environment is at the heart of what we do, and your comments mean a great deal to the whole team.
Thank you again for your kind words

Our experience with Langdon House has been extremely positive. The staff have gone out of their way to ensure my uncle has settled in, been well looked after and cared for.
Andreea, Claire, Rosie, Joseph, Neil & all the other Practitioner's & carers have provided us with everything we have asked for
and more. We would, without hesitation recommend Langdon House to other families. Thank you for making the transition and ongoing care seamless.
Reply from Andreea Militaru, Home manager at Langdon HouseThank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your uncle has settled in well and that his transition into Langdon House has been a positive experience for both him and your family.
The team works hard to provide compassionate, personalised care, and it is incredibly rewarding to know that this has been felt and appreciated.
We are truly grateful for your recommendation and are pleased that you feel supported and confident in the care your uncle is receiving. Thank you again for taking the time to leave such thoughtful comments.

Alexwood House is a lovely home, all staff seem very friendly and obliging, the home is always lovely and clean, although it could do with redecorating in places. In Joseph's room, the ceiling needs to be sorted as it looks as though there has been a leak! And part of the ceiling is brown.

This care home is lovely, and friendly faces greet you all over the site, with always smiling staff. On Dad's 97th birthday, the staff sang to him and even gave him a cake made by the chef. This is a very caring place for Dad to be looked after at this time of his life.

Ashlynn Grange has exceeded my hopes for my mum moving in. I enjoy coming to see mum - all the staff are so welcoming and friendly and helpful, and I've nearly learnt all their names. They all treat my mum with kindness and respect, which gives me a great deal of happiness and peace of mind when I'm
not here. I really do feel so grateful knowing mum is looked after. I enjoy coming and taking part in the events and activities. I always appreciate the staff getting Mum involved in the activities. Thank you.

At 98 years of age, my father is a determined individual very much set in his ways, especially since my mother passed away a few years ago having been together for over 65 years. In order to move forward from this terrible miss he was able to fall back on his military training to re-organise his life.
Unfortunately his health and wellbeing has deteriorated somewhat in recent months and, after a considerable amount of discussion and persuasion, he agreed to go to a care home for some initial respite. He has been at Ashlynn Grange for around a month now and, despite his initial lack of enthusiasm, he seems to be gradually warming to the experience. He now has a laugh and a joke with most of the staff. This is all down to the positive caring approach of all of the staff, from cleaning to management, they are all very keen to please, no matter how cantankerous a resident (or visitor) can be and are always looking for input/feedback regarding the service provided. All good thus far:)

Dad (George) is happy and settled in the care home. The food is always good which dad is happy with. The room is always clean and staff friendly. Dad mostly looks clean and showered depending on the days/times of visits etc. Facilities at the home are great with the coffee shop be an amazing addition
where we can walk and take dads out to feel like he is going out somewhere. Activities that they take part in are really good including the music and dancing that takes place.
We've recently brought dad is second pair of glasses since being in the home and mentioned to management, home manager and above about putting a note that dads need to be encouraged to wear is glassed to help his dementia and eye stigma but every photo we see of dad and whenever we visit he never has them on. Its only a small thing but I wonder how many staff know about this.
We also mentioned several times and requested by email for dads TV socket to be changed and the TV aerial keeps falling out the wall
