About the role

  • 36-hour position available
  • Shift times; 19.45-08.00
  • Alternate weekends
  • Care home-based role
  • Accredited Fire Marshal & First Aider training provided
  • Medication competence and knowledge training
  • Accredited Manual Handling Trainer The Trainer training course offered
  • Support you to achieve your NVQ L3 in Health & Social Care this is a work based diploma qualification
  • Authorisation to work in the UK essential – Sponsorship not available for this position

What you’ll be doing

  • Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Assess social and health care needs of new service users and to maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Residents.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Resident within the care home has an individual care plan. Resident care plans to be reviewed on a bi-annual basis or more frequently as and when required in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Support in training and supervision of junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, under the supervision of senior staff members.
  • Report on the well-being of service users and liaise with GPs and support Managers Etc.
  • Carry out regular checks on service users at intervals determined by senior staff members.
  • Take responsibility for Resident care as designated by the Home Manager in his/her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager.
  • Make visitors feel welcome and provide refreshments/assistance when required.
