I find Holcroft Grange welcoming + caring. The staff are supportive, engaged and caring. My Mum tells me that she feels looked after and safe and that the staff are kind and helpful. Mum loves the food too. The range of activities and services are excellent with staff always looking for new and interesting things to do. Staff spend time getting to know residents and their individual likes + dislikes. Recent improvements to the decor have made a big improvement to the look + feel of the home.

Overall Experience

The whole team at Holcroft Grange are very professional, caring, kind and genuinely want / drive the highest standards of care.

Rebecca, Harry, Angela, Nicola and all of the team have been outstanding. From the first phone call and then home visit to placement of my Dad I cannot thank the team enough. This is a huge step In life for the individual and all family members and I honestly feel the compassion, style and professionalism of all the team has helped the transition so far.

Loads of activities really keeping residents engaged and mentally stimulated.

Cleanliness is excellent and the caretaking team are constantly updating and fixing any problems. Renovation work is taking place to ensure the home is future proofed. Be great to see how this progresses over coming weeks and months.

You feel listened to when raising any questions or actions for the team and are updated on progress and next steps.

I can highly recommend Holcroft Grange.

Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident at Holcroft Grange for almost two years, and it has become the place where she feels safe, secure and cared for, the staff have always been attentive and committed to providing the correct level of care for my mothers ever changing needs, and the wide range of activities, visiting groups, singers and trips out keep my mother entertained, engaged and stimulated, and one day is never the same as the next. I have also noticed that since January 2026 there has been a number of changes brought in by the management team that have not only improved the service provided, but they have also improved facilities in the building, and made better use of the spaces, and they still have plans for more improvements in the future, and you can see that these changes are not only benefiting the residents, but they are also benefiting the staff in their increased commitment to Holcroft and all of it's residents, there's a real sign of teamwork. I just want to thank Holcroft.

My father has been a resident at Holcroft Grange for over three years. It is now his 'home and family'. The staff are very attentive to his needs and always have something for him to do if he wants. The activities that are organised help to keep his mind and body active and are excellent and very varied. There is also a quiet space when he needs. Lovely garden area, craft room, and a pub. We feel very fortunate that he has been able to get a place here and as a family know he is well cared for.

Holcroft Grange were very welcoming from the first phone call. Dad initially started as a 4 week respite stay, which has converted to permanent. The most important thing for me is Dad says 'he feels safe' and cared for, and he had stopped feeling safe at home on his own. Holcroft Grange is spotless and the staff are warm and caring. There is a good range of activities available, and the position of the home means we can take Dad out into the village. I'm not sure we could have found anywhere better.

I have been at Holcroft Grange for just over eighteen months and feel that I have been incredibly lucky to have found a home from home here. I lost my husband this year, and the love and support I received here was wonderful. I can only wish that everyone who needs care can find such a place to spend the twilight of their days.

In the two months I was in respite care, I felt overall I thrived in Holcroft Grange, whilst offering my support, I was given as much independence as possible to allow me to retain my facilities to be able to return to my new apartment. I am grateful for everything Holcroft gave to me under good leafers. As my son said at the end of my 2 month stay, he was pleased to get his mum back.

Thank you.

Mum came into Holcroft Grange for respite in mid June and is still there now. This is her first time in respite and it's fair to say that the staff have been caring, supportive, professional and friendly to mum and indeed our extended family during this time. We have found them responsive to queries, patient and informative. The home is clean, calm and has a variety of facilities to cater for different needs. Mum settled in well and is enjoying the activities and is joining in but there is always a place you can find if you prefer a quieter environment.

After a lengthy hospital admission, the staff at Holcroft Grange supported the transition from hospital to residential care fully with facilitating preadmission visits, informal look around to mum-in-law spending a day and then having a trial week (which actually never ended as she elected to stay!) Since coming to Holcroft Grange mum-in-law has flourished which is a joy to see.

I find all staff very welcmioing and I am updated on any issues regarding Mum on a regular basis. Mum is very well cared for. Staff are extremely kind and extremely helpful. Mum is very comfortable in her room. There is a good stand if cleanliness throughout. Mum enjoys the entertainment/activities when she is able. She enjoyed an outing to the pub for a meal last year.
