Wordsley Hall

from L W (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 November 2025
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Wordsley Hall is a very good home, and all the staff are very kind and caring. I have had two members of my family at the home. Mother and aunty and they were looked after and cared for till the end. My mother passed away 3 years ago, and when my aunty had to go into a home, we had no hesitation to
get her into Wordsley Hall. We knew she would be well looked after. She sadly passed away on 9th October 2025.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My aunt was welcomed into Wordsley Hall in February 2025 and was always cared for and provided for by a very caring team. I noticed that all of the residents were treated with respect, compassion and a sense of humour. It struck me as a happy place, and we would like to thank the management and staff
for all the love and care they gave my aunt and sympathies on her sudden death. Thank you all.

Hillcrest House Ltd

from John M (Husband of Resident) published on 4 November 2025
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
I am happy that my wife has lived in Hillcrest House for over 4 years, as she is well looked after. Care is given consistently and with genuine affection. There appears to be little turnover of staff, and the carers know the residents well, although sometimes information is not passed over from shift
to shift. I am always amazed at how the carers cope in the advanced dementia unit, displaying seemingly endless reserves of patience. The physical fabric of the home is slowly improving, but Trevena upstairs needs new windows. More staff dedicated to activities would help.

My Mother is happy here, although at her age, she can't do very much. The Staff are friendly, approachable and show that they care. A former Cook, my Mother has high standards but she doesn't complain too much, so that is a good sign. The room is kept clean, it's just a pity it is so small with no en-suite.
The Staff are to be commended for their kindness to my Mother and the way they welcome visitors.
I wish there were more parking spaces!

My mum has really settled at Hourigan House. She enjoys taking part in the numerous activities and has made a number of friends. The staff are so helpful and caring, nothing is too much trouble. Any issues we have raised due to Mum's mobility management and staff have gone above and beyond to put things
in place to make Mum's day to day needs more accessible. We can now spend more quality time with our mum, knowing she is afe and well cared for when we can't be there.

I visited my close friend with my little dog. The staff are extremely attentive and go above and beyond. No job is too small; the care is outstanding. The home itself is clean and modern. My very close friend is a nursing resident who can only say amazing things about the management, nurses and all
staff. We can't thank you enough

I find the experience of the care and friendliness of staff & carers that is given to my auntie is very good, as she has to have a lot of help as she cannot walk & wash herself. She is very happy, loves her carers. She is a very happy lady, loves her room with her big tu.

Cheaney Court Care Home

My husband moved to Cheaney Court from a care home in Wellingborough and he couldn't have gone to a better place. He calls it his home and although he tends to have a troubled mind he's very attached to 'Cheaney' and often wants to be reassured that he is in 'Cheaney'. The staff are all vigilant over
the residents and are constantly watching that they are safe. They often sit next to a resident for a quick chat if they have a moment to spare and it's a delight to see an old face light up because they've been given attention. They are approachable, as is the manager and deputy manager and will always give time to listen to any queries from visitors. He is dressed in clean clothes daily. The food is nutritious and fresh and each plate is individually named to ensure each person has their own appropriate meal and plate size. I have no worries. My husband, after being in four care homes due to unfortunate circumstances, is now in the best. An excellent care home .

My brother, sister and I are very happy with the excellent care that our uncle receives in Diamond House. We know he is safe and warm and well fed. The staff are always very helpful and keep in regular contact as we don't live very close to the Home. It is quite difficult living a distance away but
we feel very reassured that he is being monitored and cared for by a very capable team of people.

Everyone at the care home is extremely professional. Staff and management were very accessable and always gave time to talk you and keep you updated. Staff encouraged Dad to attend activities in such a way that he was delighted to tell us all the new things he had been trying. Everyone did everything
they could to address things Dad wanted to make him feel really cared for and considered. The atmosphere created here is more like a large family, each Staff member going above and beyond.
I would say to any relative who is hesitant about there family member going into a carehome that Amberley will take all your worries away and leave you with irreplaceable memories.

There are always activities going on, and the staff are fun and engaging with the residents.
I can thoroughly recommend The

Mum was at Hillcrest for end of life care, and we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful care that has been provided. Everyone has been so friendly to her, and she told me that she loved it there.
It has given my sister and I such peace of mind to know that she has been looked after by such lovely
people for the last six months of her life, and the compassion that we have been given during and after her passing has been much appreciated.

Staff are amazing, patience of a saint .They know every resident by name and treat them all with the utmost respect. They are always smiling and happy in their work. The meals are fantastic with plenty of snacks and drinks in between, when the weather is hot, they provide ice lollies and jugs of juice
around the rooms. I couldn't of put my Husband in a better care home.

We as a family, are satisfied with the care and attention given to my husband.
It would benefit staff and residents if air conditioning could be installed, considering the change in climate and the hot weather we are now experiencing.

Over the past twelve months, conditions have improved a lot within the care home. The staff are a lot more kinder and supportive towards the service users, who are cared for well. I've noticed there are certain outstanding members of staff who go the extra mile to make sure the residents are happy and
safe, while most of the not so nice staff have gone. Keep up the good teamwork guy's.Thanks for caring and sharing!
