I've been in a few homes now with my father and I found Gleavewood very caring. The 2 ladies from the home visited my mum at her home before she went into respite and they were lovely and friendly. No other home has taken the time to do this. All that was missing was an ensuite, but there was a commode and a toilet down the corridor. Everything was excellent, 10/10.
Thank you for your lovely review, we are delighted that you mum enjoyed her respite stay with us and you rated us 10 out of 10. The management team like to get to know our residents at home prior to admission to ensure a smooth transition, so we are glad this made you feel at ease. We will share your feedback with the team.

Our mum is 96 years old. The family home was sold some years ago and she has since lived in another home, her wish was always to come to Gleavewood. Early days but all is good, the staff go above and beyond so so friendly and welcoming which makes us as a family very grateful. Mum has a lovely room, food and all the ongoing care is amazing what a great team at Gleavewood. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for feedback, we are absolutely thrilled to hear that you think so highly of our team. Providing a friendly, welcoming environment which promotes person-centred care is our top priority. I will pass your kind words on to the whole team.
After visiting several of the larger care homes, my sister and I were convinced that we would never place our mum in one. However, when her dementia began to worsen, we decided to look at some smaller homes instead.
Gleavewood was recommended to us by a friend who is a local GP. As soon as we visited, we knew immediately that it was the right place for Mum. Because it is much smaller, each resident is treated as an individual rather than just another number.
Our mum is thriving there, and that is entirely thanks to the wonderful staff. Their care, compassion, and dedication are evident every day, and the fact that many of them have been there for years speaks volumes about the home. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We love having your mum here and are so pleased to see her thriving. It is a privilege to care for her, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.
All my personal health issues are looked after by all of the staff without any complaints. I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Gleavewood and I feel completely relaxed and at home.

As always when entering the building I am always met by helpful and pleasant staff. I have never had any negative feelings about anyone. The atmosphere is also so pleasesnt around all staff and patients. My friend wants for nothing from facilities to the food available in the restaurant to room service. The carers are excellent with everyone. This is the carehome that I would love to be able to go to when my position changes. I cannot prase Gleavewood care home enough. My friend is totally comfortable and more importantly feels very safe within the home. It makes me very happy that he feels secure and settled.
