Saffron is a very nice care facility with excellent staff who really care for the residents. The facilities are basic but more than acceptable. What really matters to me is that my mum is looked after by kind, gentle but competent staff.
In terms of potential improvements I would say that the lounge
area could have a nicer feel and the TV arrangements would certainly benefit from a rethink and some investment.

I am writing this review as the daughter of a resident. My mum has lived at Diamond House coming up 7 years. Generally speaking the family has been satisfied with the care given to Mum. Additionally, also satisfied with how approaches to the family have been made over the time.

As we are unable to visit my father in law as often as we would like living more than 3hrs away it is most reassuring to know he is being cared for extremely well, he always looks clean and tidy and from what we can see he seems to react well to his carers who are very patient with him.

Whenever I visit my friend at the home she is well and happy. The carers are friendly and helpful and answer any questions I might have. My friend always says that she enjoys the activities that she takes part in and also that the meals are very good.

Saffron House is a very caring, happy and relaxing place, my mum has settled in really well, and the Staff are really helpful and attentive. Food is excellent and everything is done to make the residents feel like it's a comfy home to live in. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful.

No change from the last review. We are very pleased with the care our Mother is receiving. It's a real shame she cannot join in the activities though and it's her condition that's restricting participation. It's a shame really because she's very fond of Penny and very much likes her company, who always
takes time out to say hello when passing or on breakfast duty. Although my father Alan is not a paid resident he too is very well cared for whilst he visits our mother every day. Since my mothers arrival I have also bought Marlene into the home on the first floor and with her very limited family I guess you would struggle to obtain a meaningful review which if asked I'm more than willing to complete. There are some real staff stars in the home who go the extra mile to make our mothers stay has enjoyable as possible and you all know who they are and thank you for your ongoing care and special love offered to our Mummy.

I would like to start by saying how kind, caring and approachable all the staff are. Nothing ever feels too much trouble, and the way they support my stepdad, particularly with his dementia, is genuinely appreciated. It gives our family great reassurance knowing he is so well looked after.
However,
I do want to raise an ongoing concern regarding laundry. On numerous occasions, the clothes in his wardrobe are not his, and sadly some of his own clothes have gone missing despite all items being clearly named. I completely understand how busy the home is and that staff are caring for many residents, but this has become quite frustrating and upsetting over time.
I wondered whether a simple solution might help prevent this continuing. For example, providing each resident with their own washable laundry bag kept in their room, which could then be placed directly into the washing machine. Separate bags for whites and colours could make this even and reduce items being mixed up .

We were slightly apprehensive about mum going into a care home as reviews didn't seem great. However in the few weeks she has been in she has been cared for well and overall I'm pleased with the care as is my mum.

As an occupant who is free of medical complaints, I require little attention from staff. Breakfast, lunch (12.30pm) two course (always inc. two vegetables) a tea (4.30pm) which offers savoury & sweet content, & an optional supper (8pm-10pm). All medicines are individually provided; doctor visits on
Wednesdays for anybody. We can visit shops easily, accompanied by an escort, distant forays (funerals, weddings etc) are also possible. Bedrooms, inc beds are maintained.

I really could not find any faults with the care being given to my Father. The staff are amazing with him, even though he's quite demanding and not always as polite as the staff deserve.
He is always clean and his room spotless.
Couldn't wish for more.
I like that they all know him (infamously?)
and he's always called by his name and treated respectfully.

Mum joined you in November last year after her dementia became too dangerous for her to stay at home. It was an extremely difficult and emotional decision we had to make, we didn't want to lose her.
But, she has settled in well, and the staff are so kind and caring. she is cared for, clean and happy
in her own world, the home atmosphere is so friendly, that we always feel welcome, and even though mum may not remember us anymore, her face lights up for the carers, which, can only be a good thing, because, if she didn't like them her face wouldn't lie.
Personally, I love the phone call from the staff, and doctors, keeping me informed of mums health and well being, that means so much to me, after being her prime carer for so long, I still feel involved. None of us want our loved ones to be away from us, But. I believe we were so lucky to find Diamond house... you have made our lives easier, it could've been much harder so Thankyou from all the family

My aunt is very well cared for and although she has dimenture she never questions the care she receives. She enjoys the life she is now living and it's a great piece of mind to know her needs are being fulfilled.

I am always extremely pleased when I visit my brother, he always tells me how content he is at the home and the excellent care the staff provide. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and always make sure that he is happy and ensure that his needs are met. I am confident that if there were

The staff are always very friendly to myself when I come to visit my mum but more importantly they are kind and talk nicely to my mum , I can walk away knowing my mum is safe and is being well cared of

My brother, sister and I are very happy with the excellent care that our uncle receives in Diamond House. We know he is safe and warm and well fed. The staff are always very helpful and keep in regular contact as we don't live very close to the Home. It is quite difficult living a distance away but
we feel very reassured that he is being monitored and cared for by a very capable team of people.

Over the past twelve months, conditions have improved a lot within the care home.The staff are a lot more kinder and supportive towards the service users, who are cared for well. I've noticed there are certain outstanding members of staff who go the extra mile to make sure the residents are happy and

My brother was taken into the Sapphire wing at the beginning of May with a severe pressure sore which has now healed well. All the staff have been excellent in looking after him. He has some very complex caring needs and has very limited communication after a brain tumour. They constantly update me
on any problems that need addressing.

Sapphire house do a very good job with residents that are least difficult to deal with .
All the staff do a good job and a few of them go the extra mile to make the residents happy to be at the home and give the relatives of the residents comfort in knowing that they are being looked after as well
as can reasonably be expected

Great place , carers are fantastic, mum is always clean and tidy and fed well , no one wants to end up in care but we couldn't manage and it was a must and I'm so happy it's worked out well , this home and the seniors and staff are fantastic , thank you to them all

My mum first stayed at Diamond House for respite care and has now returned after a year away. Any concerns I had in the past were promptly dealt with, which gave me confidence in the home. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Mum enjoys being able to request walks when she wants, and there are
always activities available to keep residents engaged. Overall, her needs are well met and I feel reassured knowing she's being well cared for.
