The Elms

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Both my mum and dad went for respite at the elms . Straight away the management and staff could not have been more welcoming and reassuring to myself and my parents . They truly have gone above and beyond for them and me . Very sadly my dad passed away whilst there and when I say how caring they all
were it is no understatement. Everyone has shown us the upmost respect, love and care that you should ever wish for at such a difficult time . I'm happy to say mum has decided to stay there permanently and I could not have her in safer hands. Special thanks to nic , Sam, bex, Louise, hayley and the many staff who's names I forget . I will be forever grateful for the love you showed us in dad's final days
Reply from Nichola Brennan, Registered Manager at The ElmsIt has been a pleasure to care for them both, and our sympathises remain with you at this time. Thank you for such lovely feedback, i will share it with the team.

Ingersley Court

from S G (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has just spent 6 weeks at Ingersley Court on a respite placement. I first met with Laura and Chris who were very compassionate about my mother's situation. Mum decided she wanted to have some respite here. The staff were very accommodating getting my mother in sooner than anticipated. My mother
is very challenging yet the care, from what I observed was brilliant. The detail to individualised care was obvious with several residence I observed while visiting my mother. If my mother requires permanent care or respite again, Ingersley Court would be my first phone call. Carers, domestic staff, chefs and maintenance staff work very hard in very demanding roles for minimal pay. Everyone was always happy to chat and help. My brother had Christmas lunch on Christmas Day with my mother and said it was really lovely and how kind the staff were. Mum was encouraged to eat in the dining room with others and always seemed happy to be around the other residence. Thanks to everyone
Reply from Christine wootton, manager at Ingersley CourtThank you for kind feedback , i will make sure this is handed back to all the staff . Ingersley court wishes Mum and your family all the very best .

Loxley Hall Nursing and Residential Home

My brother was a resident at Loxley Hall. I don't think we could of asked for a better place of care. He was well looked after, even when he was causing trouble. He made a lot of friends with his carers. All of his needs were catered for and met. The only downside for him was the evening food, it became
very repetitive. Thank you.

My mother never wanted to go into a home. After spending a few weeks respite in Loxley Hall mum decided she didn't want to come home she wanted to stay. The care and attention mum received from the staff was unbelievable. The staff treated mum as a friend as well as a patient always chatting and having
their little secrets. My brother and myself had no worries concerning the welfare of mum in the home. Even we where made welcome. I would highly recommend Loxley Hall. If I need to be put in a home I would want to go there.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The care my relative receives has been consistent since she went into Westly almost 4 years ago. She has always been treated with care and consideration for her needs! She has complex needs, and they have been met. The staff go beyond their job, and the residents and their families get the support they
need. I would myself have no hesitation in going into Westy if I ever did need residential care myself! Thank you, team Westy!
Reply from Katya Lyon, Home manager at Westy HallThank you for your feedback, as you know its a pleasure to care for your sister, to know relatives feel content with the care and support we provide makes our roles worthwhile, Nothing is to much trouble for any of our staff and that's why we all enjoy what we do. The Cedars

from Alan B (Son of Resident) published on 22 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum has been resident at The Cedars for almost a year and my family would not want her to be anywhere else. She has been very happy throughout her stay , her room is always spotlessly clean and the food looks excellent. I can't fault The Cedars and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
I have found the staff so welcoming and friendly but most importantly, I have seen how caring, polite and patient they are with both my Mum and all other residents. The managerial staff and carers are always sharp and attentive to the needs of my Mum and my family and I will always be grateful to them for all their hard work in ensuring my Mum is as happy and comfortable as possible.

The Cedars

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother in law has been at the Cedars for over a year now and we have only good things to say about it. The staff are really nice and the care they give is excellent. We are always kept up to date with things and Mum is very settled and very well looked after. I never have any concerns about her being
there. When we visit we are always met with a smile and everyone is so polite.
Thanks so much for all you do for Mum.

Mum has been a resident at Leycester House since June/July and has settled in well and is very well looked after. All the staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. They have helped with medical appointments and prep and have also really helped when mum has been distressed due to ongoing health
issues. I cannot fault the place or the staff. We're very lucky to have found this care home for mum.

Following my career as operations manager for a private medical company, I scrutinise the facilities from a safe and compliant view. Leycester House is excellent in cleanliness, safety, customer focused and caring. From mums experience, she would have valued more entertainment and activities. Bedrooms
could do with an up-grade, other wise all good. Staff excellent, both caring and administrators.

My dad was transferred from warrington hospital after a stroke, he was not happy there and so we luckily managed to get him into Loxley Hall for his final days.
Can't thank the staff enough for their kindness, professionalism.

Loxley Hall care home, was a perfect place for my mum, she was treated with professionalism, care and compassion, with fun humour and laughter, she often said she hadn't a care in the world. We couldn't thank them enough.

Both my mother and my father ended their days in Loxley Hall. However, think it is important to consider cost of care when reviewing a care home, as hopefully the more you pay the better you would expect services and facilities, From a cost point of view Loxley Hall was good value for money.
The staff
are very good, professional and caring. The property is well maintained and places a high value on security of the residents.

I ever had a moments doubt that my mother wasn't receiving the very best of care I visited her twice a week for over two years and never saw her anything but happy and engaged with the staff. They were all attentive and caring and always acknowledge her as they passed by. Her room was spotless, the
food appetising, she was given drinks regularly. She was entertained and involved in all sorts of activities, which she enjoyed tremendously. The nursing staff monitored her continuously and informed me immediately there was a problem and what has been organised to address it. I cannot praise them enough.
