Dad has dementia and has been here for over a year now, it's such a lovely home from home setting. The staff are lovely. Dad is always kept clean & tidy. The bedrooms are made very comfortable. All the other residents all seem happy too. They have different entertainment days eg creepy crawly shows,

Gleavewood

from Sarah R (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After visiting several of the larger care homes, my sister and I were convinced that we would never place our mum in one. However, when her dementia began to worsen, we decided to look at some smaller homes instead.

Gleavewood was recommended to us by a friend who is a local GP. As soon as we visited,

we knew immediately that it was the right place for Mum. Because it is much smaller, each resident is treated as an individual rather than just another number.

Our mum is thriving there, and that is entirely thanks to the wonderful staff. Their care, compassion, and dedication are evident every day, and the fact that many of them have been there for years speaks volumes about the home. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

Reply from Julie Wansbrough, Home Manager at GleavewoodThank you so much for your lovely words. We love having your mum here and are so pleased to see her thriving. It is a privilege to care for her, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.

Ingersley Court has provided a secure and calm environment for my mum, who is 97 and couldn't adequately care for herself at home. She has a lovely room with some of her own favourite pieces of furniture from home. The staff look after her daily needs and take her medical care into consideration too.
As a family, we are kept informed about her general needs on a regular basis. We are pleased with the care and consideration she is shown.

I have been a resident at Gleavewood since January 2025 and during that time all of the staff have looked after me with respect and care. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My room is cleaned daily and my washing is done as required. The choice of food is good and my teacup is regularly filled!!

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The team at Croftwood just can't be faulted at all. In the time we have had my Grandma there so far, I think almost 2 years or more, we haven't had any reason to be concerned or worried about anything.
She is clean, well cared for, respected and treated with love and compassion. I think it's also
fair to say that everyone resident is treated this way, this is all I have ever witnessed for not just my Grandma but the other people I see on my visits.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team at Croftwood. We visited numerous facilities prior to choosing Croftwood and nothing could beat it. The instant warmth we felt from everyone was unmatched. Keep doing great things as you truly do make a difference.

The whole team at Holcroft Grange are very professional, caring, kind and genuinely want / drive the highest standards of care.

Rebecca, Harry, Angela, Nicola and all of the team have been outstanding. From the first phone call and then home visit to placement of my Dad I cannot thank the team enough.

This is a huge step In life for the individual and all family members and I honestly feel the compassion, style and professionalism of all the team has helped the transition so far.

Loads of activities really keeping residents engaged and mentally stimulated.
Cleanliness is excellent and the caretaking team are constantly updating and fixing any problems. Renovation work is taking place to ensure the home is future proofed. Be great to see how this progresses over coming weeks and months.

You feel listened to when raising any questions or actions for the team and are updated on progress and next steps.
I can highly recommend Holcroft Grange.

My husband has been a resident in the dementia unit for over 2 years. All the staff here are dedicated and there is a really good atmosphere. My husband has been so happy and content. There is a nice feel to the care home which was notable when I first visited with him 2 years ago. The dementia unit
