Staff are amazing, patience of a saint .They know every resident by name and treat them all with the utmost respect. They are always smiling and happy in their work. The meals are fantastic with plenty of snacks and drinks in between, when the weather is hot, they provide ice lollies and jugs of juice
around the rooms. I couldn't of put my Husband in a better care home.

My Mum has resided at Crossways for nearly eight years now and during that time I have always found the Staff to go out of their way to keep my Mum clean, fed,and comfortable. Recently my Mum has suffered an ongoing problem but the Staff are on it, doing all they can to rectify it and liaising with
the GP on how to solve it. I couldn't ask for more.
I always feel well informed and happy to ask questions when I visit.

Astbury Lodge is such a professional and genuinely caring place. I am very impressed with the management and the care staff. So much better than a previous placement my sister had. There is always plenty of staff on the floor and someone to talk to for updates. I get regular updates on how my sister
is doing without having to ask. The staff are all experienced and several have worked in different care settings, so are very knowledgeable with dementia patients.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We visit our resident friend on a fairly regular basis and have always found the staff that we meet friendly and attentive. The care that our friend receives is good according to what he tells us and if it fell short of his expectations he would let both us and the home know. Staff regularly check
on his wellbeing and his room is always well maintained. The home is always clean and smells fresh. Our only criticism would be that our messages of our visits to him are not always passed on.

Three Elms

from Tracey M (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 14 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We've had such a positive experience with Three Elms where mum has been staying. The staff have been nothing short of amazing-kind, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From helping with hospital appointments to helping with crossword puzzles, nothing is too much trouble.
From
day one, they made her feel at home, and it gave us real peace of mind knowing she's in such good hands. The place is clean, well-organized, and has a welcoming, homely feel. She has been getting involved in the activities and trips, which has really lifted her spirits. As her condition and health changes, close monitoring, support and care offered continues to be excellent.
Special thanks to all staff. Office staff, care staff, and entertainment staff-your compassion, patience, and hard work don't go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything you do.
We feel lucky to have found a place like this and would happily recommend Three Elms to other families looking for quality care.

Whetstone Hey

from S C (Son of Resident) published on 13 October 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum has now been a resident here for coming up to three years. From the outset our family has been most impressed with the standard of care and cleanliness at the Home. The staff are very friendly and approachable. I have found that nothing is too much trouble for them even though I realise there
are a lot of time pressures with their jobs. My mum is also happy there; she does grumble at times but that is a result of the problems of old age, it is nothing the staff have done even if she may cause them to sometimes think otherwise. She particularly enjoys some of the entertainment put on for them, such as exercises, quizzes and singing. Overall, my experience of Whetstone Hey is a positive one and it most reassuring to know that she is in such capable hands now that due to old age she can no longer look after herself and requires 24/7 care.

Almost immediately after my mother-in-law was admitted to Wealstone, we knew she was in good hands. Her room was spacious, well-equipped and always kept clean and tidy. The staff didn't just look after her, they clearly liked her, which counts for a lot. They were also always welcoming to family and
other visitors. She repeatedly told us she felt safe there, which was so important to her and of course to us. We were especially grateful for how sensitively and kindly you took care of her during her final illness. You contributed so much to her exceptionally peaceful departure. Thank you!

My mum spent the last year of her life at Wealstone and I'm so glad she did, mainly due to the excellent staff.
They treat the residents with such love and care: cuddling them if they need comforting; having a laugh joke and dance with them and generally treating them like they would their own family
I was made to feel so welcome when visiting and will miss everybody there.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Wealstone has been a port in the storm for us as my mother's health took a sharp decline towards the end of August 2024. Every member of your care team we encountered at all levels has shown nothings but kindness, professionalism and unwavering dedication to every aspect of my mother's health and well
being. Whilst she lived at Wealstone my mother used to say "Are you going to put in an old folks' home?" - as if it were something to be dreaded and endured like a prison. We would say to her, "Your are in one now!" She was so surprised because her experience at Wealstone was one of feeling safe, respected and deeply cared for. Clearly it was nothing like she had expected. We will not forget you. We will always remember what you did for my mother, especially in the last weeks of her life. You carried her with dignity into her final rest. Only special people do this.

My dad was a resident at the Cedars from Nov. 2024 to September 2025, when he passed away peacefully in his sleep. The staff were so loving and caring - I cannot fault them. When my sister and I visited him, they were always welcoming and friendly. The setting itself is smart, comfortable and rather
impressive. I will always be grateful to all the staff at The Cedars for their care of my lovely dad.

My mother spent 4 weeks at Leycester House recovering from a fall. The staff were all caring and helpful and made my mother's stay as pleasant as it could be. The occupational therapist, social worker and physiotherapist were wonderful. Everyone was supportive and really encouraged my mother to get
back on her feet. Thank you,

Kindness , compassion, and thoughtfulness:
Staff exceed expectations in their caring nature and demonstrate genuine warmth and empathy. Care plans are personalized to individual needs, enabling residents to maintain routines and make meaningful life choices where possible.
A family-like environment
where residents and their families feel supported and valued.
Everyone is welcoming. My mum has been at the home for nearly 2years and has always been well looked after, they have many activities that the residents can attend and enjoy, they have outings, disco's, birthday parties for residents to celebrate. Plus much much more. From cleaners to cooks to nursing staff each member of the team are outstanding within their rolls at the home. All residents are always happy. I know my mum is always looked after and never have to worry.

My husband has been a resident since November 2023. He has dementia. It was very very difficult for him to begin with, and heart breaking for me, but he has settled in now, and is he is happy to join in with the activities and likes to sing. I have always found the staff polite, cheerful and when I
visit which is twice a week from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm I am made very welcome and feel 'at home'.
