Care Homes Owned by Minster Care Group in Cheshire

Our mother came to live here a few months ago after a period of respite care. Within days she was fully settled, made to feel part of the family and treated with care, dignity and kindness. The team are very caring ensuring that mum has plenty of company and helped her get involved in activities and helping in the garden. The home managers are always available for any questions or support. I highly recommend Westy Hall

Mum had been unwell with chest infection, on 2 lots of antibiotics but having falls at home - taken to A+E and discharged. She lives alone. I contacted Ian at Wealstone and he came out to assess and accepted Mum for respite (1 week) until meds finished. It was an absolute god send, peace of mind and fab care for Mum.

The building itself could do with updating in certain areas, but for me the most important thing was the care received, which as I have already said was excellent.

Lovely staff, give residents the best care, treat with dignity. Cleanliness excellent. Cooked lunch satisfactory, maybe to offer more alternatives. Overall very happy with care. Staff always very friendly & welcoming.

This home is superb. Their standard of care and the attention they pay to residents can't be underestimated. They have taken my dad under their wing and look after him as if he was one of the family. All the staff care greatly about the residents and want the best for them. Emma and Marie do a great job of leading the home. Shirley, Becky, Elsie, Krish, Jerry, Molly and Priya as well as all the other carers all take such great care and attention and have real affection for my dad. Losing his wife and then his dementia worsening has been hard on him but they all make him feel a part of everything and let him sing and dance to keep his spirits up. I'd recommend Florence Grogan to anyone looking for a real personal touch to their loved ones care.

My Mum has been at "FloGro" for over three years now and I have always been extremely impressed with the care she receives there.

The staff are caring and thoughtful; always bringing her the extra mugs of tea and favourite treats she loves so much. She is treated with dignity in terms of personal care and respect of her wishes.

There's a great range of imaginative activities. Recently they've been entertained by a Roman centurion, an Irish dancer and an Elvis impersonator. As well as regular crafts, music and dancing. Mum particularly enjoys the inter generational sessions when tiny nursery age children come in to do joint musical activities with the residents.

The building is always clean and well run.

I've visited fancier care homes but they didn't feel like home. FloGro feels like a real home and my Mum (who was adamant she was never going into a home and isn't the easiest person to please) feels settled, happy, safe and at home there.

Great care home which is very conveniently situated to my parent old recedance and the staff are outstanding they couldn't be more helpful to my my mother we are very happy with the overall experience we've received from the care team

Having read good reports about Florence Grogan House, I was not disappointed when Phyllis took up residency there. She has been made so welcome + encouraged to settle in by the most wonderful caring, kind + thoughtful staff. My mind is at rest by the care she receives and to see her settled in and enjoying her new home.

Florence Grogan has proved to be an excellent care home. Phyllis settled in very quickley & all the staff have been kind, caring & very supportive to Phyllis, her family & friends. At a time of uncertainty the whole experience has been made smoother & easy as a result of caring professional and above all kind staff. The home is clean with excellent facilities & lots of fun activities and entertainment that includes everyone

Mum moved in to Wealstone in July 2026, in what was a difficult time for all the family. The staff and management have been great with mum and the family and she has settled in well. The care has been great and if we have any issues or concerns then it is addressed promptly. Although the building is abit dated, the care and compassion is great. There is a new building being built and so I'm sure this will be an even better care home very soon.

My cousin / aunt has been at Florence Grogan for about 2 months after psychiatric hospital care. She is so well cared for at FloGro and thriving. Staff are attentive, kindly and responsive. I am always welcomed as a visitor. I have not seen my relative so happy, safe and secure for a very long time. Thank you all.

We can rest knowing Mum us being well looked after

I have found all the staff to be approachable, should I need to, they all speak to family as if they know us, which is great. They rang me couple weeks ago as my dad had a small medical problem, they got the district nurse in straight away to sort it, which she did. They regularly ring me for updates of all that goes on with dad, we are included with dad's care every step of the way. Dad is very happy with his care and food, he doesn't want anything to change,

Mum has been looked after by the staff at Croftwood for over 6 years. During this time they have done a great job of caring for her. As a family we are very grateful. Thank you.

Recently another family member has joined the home. We know they will also be very well cared for.

My mother Nancy was admitted to Croftwood Care Home in mid-April 2026, after being in another care facility and several hospital stays. The previous care home was not fit for purpose and caused significant distress to my mother. Croftwood was a totally different experience for my mother and for all the family who attended regularly. The care home was well managed and the team of staff were excellent in dealing with my mothers health issues and needs. The room and facilities were excellent. Also the staff were very helpful to the family particularly when mother had to go onto end of life care due to her frailty. We could visit at any time and were allowed to stay overnight towards the end. Mother passed away on 15th July 2026 with dignity. The love and care shown to my mother and to all the family was second to none and much appreciated. We were made to fell at home like part of one big family. We would highly recommend this care home and may the excellent care standards continue.

Since my mum arrived at Wealstone Care Home, Chester, in April she has settled in brilliantly, the staff are lovely, helpful & kind to us as relatives & to my mum. The care home is very clean & well maintained. Mum is happy and well looked after, no fault in this care home its so nice

Mum moved into Croftwood back in March this year. She has dementia.

Our situation was very difficult, as Mum had brought up my nephew from being a little boy, and he has autism and learning needs. So separating them was such a hard decision. I found it very difficult and felt nothing but guilt. She also really struggled being apart from him, and some days it broke my heart.

But the staff are so kind, caring and professional. They put us all at ease. They welcome my nephew every day during visits, and I have to say their nurturing is outstanding. The staff treat Mum like she's their own Mum - it's so wonderful to witness.

Five months on, Mum is so settled, as is my nephew. We now enjoy visits to Mum and take her for days out, as well as join in with the regular activities and planned family days they host at the home.

The most wonderful moment for me is hearing Mum call Croftwood her home.

Thanks to all the amazing staff. I feel they are part of our family.

The team from top to bottom all care deeply about respecting the residents, keeping them safe and ensuring that all their needs are met. They keep me informed of any changes and are always cheerful and polite. I have honestly not met one person working there, from the office through the support staff and the carers, who are not deeply committed to providing the best care they can. Westy Hall is an excellent care home. All staff are superb and can be approached at all times. Care given is genuine and it is definately the staff who make this care home the friendly place it is. Westy Hall is clean, with activities available for residents. Food provided is excellent, with always a good choice available. Overall Westy Hall provide an excellent service and the family are happy that the home provides a safe and caring enviroment,
