Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My friend is 92 years and I can honestly say that in the 25+ years that I've known her, I have never seen her as happy and content as she is since she moved into The Cedars three months ago. She likes it so much that she refused to come out for an afternoon to see a live performance of 'songs from the
shows'! She tells me how good the food is, how helpful the staff are to her and how calm + organised everything is.

Parklands looked after my mum for 2 years and the staff were caring, loving, friendly and fun! I got to know the carers as the same people were always there. This was reassuring that staff turnover was not high and mum could interact with people she knew. She was always warm, clean and loved. Their

My father has been a resident at Holcroft Grange for over three years. It is now his 'home and family'. The staff are very attentive to his needs and always have something for him to do if he wants. The activities that are organised help to keep his mind and body active and are excellent and very varied.
There is also a quiet space when he needs. Lovely garden area, craft room, and a pub. We feel very fortunate that he has been able to get a place here and as a family know he is well cared for.

Although we viewed several hoems Croftwood was our first choice, so as a fmaily we were happy for him to move here. Dad settled in very quickly and we were able to personalise his room to help him feel at home. Dad was recently unwell and attended hospital, the communication from Croftwood to us was
exemplary. They encourage Dad to join in activities, his hygiene is well looked after and he is eating well. The staff make us feel welcome too, we don't worry about Dad as he is safe. Dad likes all staff. I would not hesitate to put any family in Croftwood to live.

My mother is treated with respect and understanding. She is safe and very well cared for. All the staff are kind and there is a continuity of care - which is so important and is demonstrated in how they understand each individual. Her room is kept v. clean and she enjoys chatting to the cleaners everyday.
Her clothes are v. well looked after pressed and returned - with a smile. Facilities are given a good as there is limited outdoor space for walk - but he was fault! Thank you to all the staff.

Care staff are exemplary - obliging, cheerful and friendly. The building is warm, clean and well maintained and the food looks to be appetising. GP cover is on a weekly basis but available on other occasions as necessary as are district nurses. There is a coordinator on site who organises such activities
as jigsaws, colouring, games with a beachball, flower arranging etc and also arranges some outside local trips. There are occasional events eg pets, specials such as Valentine's Day, Easter etc. Residents birthdays are also celebrated.

The standard of care is excellent. My father is dressed appropriately to the occasions. The problems we have found is other peoples clothing and underwear being used on him even though he has ample of his own clothes in the wardrobe. I have had a big problem of his glasses going missing and both pairs
had gone but they managed to find his distance ones. A very expensive issues is his hearing aid to his left ear missing. There are very specialised as they link to his T.V. I have informed the staff weekly for the past 5 weeks. The staff need to actually sit and talk to client to get to know more and their past and activities they are interested in.

Both my mum and dad went for respite at the elms . Straight away the management and staff could not have been more welcoming and reassuring to myself and my parents . They truly have gone above and beyond for them and me . Very sadly my dad passed away whilst there and when I say how caring they all
were it is no understatement. Everyone has shown us the upmost respect, love and care that you should ever wish for at such a difficult time . I'm happy to say mum has decided to stay there permanently and I could not have her in safer hands. Special thanks to nic , Sam, bex, Louise, hayley and the many staff who's names I forget . I will be forever grateful for the love you showed us in dad's final days

My mother has just spent 6 weeks at Ingersley Court on a respite placement. I first met with Laura and Chris who were very compassionate about my mother's situation. Mum decided she wanted to have some respite here. The staff were very accommodating getting my mother in sooner than anticipated. My mother
is very challenging yet the care, from what I observed was brilliant. The detail to individualised care was obvious with several residence I observed while visiting my mother. If my mother requires permanent care or respite again, Ingersley Court would be my first phone call. Carers, domestic staff, chefs and maintenance staff work very hard in very demanding roles for minimal pay. Everyone was always happy to chat and help. My brother had Christmas lunch on Christmas Day with my mother and said it was really lovely and how kind the staff were. Mum was encouraged to eat in the dining room with others and always seemed happy to be around the other residence. Thanks to everyone

My brother was a resident at Loxley Hall. I don't think we could of asked for a better place of care. He was well looked after, even when he was causing trouble. He made a lot of friends with his carers. All of his needs were catered for and met. The only downside for him was the evening food, it became
very repetitive. Thank you.

My mum has been a resident of Gleavewood for 2 years now. She is so well looked after and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Everyone I meet is so kind and caring and they all go above and beyond to make sure my mum's needs are met. I have every confidence that my mum is safe and well cared for
and I am so appreciative. Everyone is so kind, approachable and caring and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you all so much.
Reply from Julie Wansbrough, Home Manager at GleavewoodThank you for your kind words, we are pleased that you feel reassured that your relative is safe and well cared for at the home, we will share your review with the team.

Loxley Hall Nursing and Residential Home

My mother never wanted to go into a home. After spending a few weeks respite in Loxley Hall mum decided she didn't want to come home she wanted to stay. The care and attention mum received from the staff was unbelievable. The staff treated mum as a friend as well as a patient always chatting and having
their little secrets. My brother and myself had no worries concerning the welfare of mum in the home. Even we where made welcome. I would highly recommend Loxley Hall. If I need to be put in a home I would want to go there.
Reply from Stacey Roulston, Manager at Loxley Hall Nursing and Residential Homethankyou so much for the review, it really was a pleasure to take care of your mum.

I have been here over 4 years, and my wife was here before me but she died in November 2021 and if I hadn't come here I would have been living alone in my bungalow. Here I have a good relationship with the staff, and everybody, I enjoy the entertainment that is laid on, and if I need anything, the staff
will get it for me.
