My husband is a long term resident of Red Hill Care Centre and my experience has only ever been positive. All staff, including administrative, clinical and support have always been cheerful, helpful and supportive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Red Hill and my family and I thank them for all that they are doing.

I can't thank the team enough for the care they provide to my Nan. The management are excellent and always approachable, ensuring everything runs smoothly and that residents' needs are put first.
The staff are consistently kind, caring, and respectful, and they genuinely can't do enough for the residents. They always have time for a friendly chat, treat everyone with dignity, and go above and beyond to make sure my Nan is happy, comfortable, and well looked after.

It's so reassuring to know she's in such good hands, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone looking for compassionate, high-quality care for a loved one.

I cannot put into words the compassion and care Julie & her team gave to our our terminally ill Mum in the last 5 weeks of her life. After a tough 12 months of intermittent visits to A & E and hospital beds she finally received the care & comfort she needed.

As a family we felt it was the first time we had been listened to. Staff would spend time offering advice to us to answer any difficult questions or concerns we had for Mum, we felt like they were caring for us all as a family, it was so humbling. It has made this whole journey easier to process. Also such a beautiful building for Mum to spend her final days. We will never forget your kindness xx

It was our absolute pleasure and honour to care for your mother, she will always hold a very special place in our hearts. The love and support you all gave her, was unmeasurable and an absolutely credit to her. Thank you, very much for the wonderful review, it means the world to us all, and thank you for letting us be part of your beautiful family.

I cannot fault the care and compassion shown towards my Father suffering from advanced Alzheimer's, by the staff of Red Hill Care Centre. I always felt he was safe, well looked after and his medical needs and wishes were met. He passed away this month and in the lead up, the staff were brilliant, looking out for his dignity and comfort; they were also fantastic with me being there as well. I don't hesitate to recommend this care home and its staff - it's a very well managed facility and I'm grateful he was looked after here.

I have always found the management team and staff to be open, transparent, warm and friendly. On my visits, I witness the amazing care the team consistently provide, and can see Dad is settled and looked after well. There is always lots of laughter, and everyone is engaged with. I am consistently updated on Dad's health and well-being. It is a weight off my shoulders knowing that Dad is safe and happy. I can't thank Penny, Emily and their team for the amazing work they do.

Review of Mowbray Nursing Home from Eileen T (Friend of Resident) published on 16 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I have visited Mowbray regularly for many years to visit residents, chat with them and to take a monthly Christian service for anyone who wishes to join in. I am always welcomed warmly by staff and residents and they all seem happy and contented. The staff are friendly and good-natured, and they do their best for the residents, considering that they have so many to care for and that the house is not easy to work in, with rambling corridors and several sets of stairs. The residents are well-cared for and those like myself who visit for a specific purpose are welcomed as part of the residents' care, not as an 'added extra' or an inconvenience. Julie (the Manager) is lovely and often asks me to visit a specific person who may be settling in, or struggling with a change of circumstances.

I really enjoy visiting at Mowbray and have recommended it to people as a place to go for respite or for residential care.

Since the moment my mum came to you, you received her and the rest of us with open arms. My mum was greeted like a queen and Julie took my hand too, just knowing that this new beginning was hard. We are now 5 months in and you have transformed my mum - she is happy, safe and lovingly cared for. Getting older is tough for all but you treat our mum with such dignity and love, let alone the laughter and banter! We cannot thank you enough. You have been such a light when we were struggling. For whatever time she has left, we know she is in the right place. Thank you.

Thank you, so much for the wonderful review; it is our absolute pleasure to have your mother with us; she is an absolute delight and very much loved by us all here a Mowbray. Review of Red Hill from Timothy A (Son of Resident) published on 11 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My father was a resident at the home from August 2024 until his death in May this year. I visited him a few times a year and I have friends who visited more frequently. His care was of a good standard and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The staff ensured that my dad saw my mum most days as she resides there as well. The room was always clean and tidy. Overall I am very happy with the care he received and the way that they treated him once he died, ensuring that he was safely taken to the funeral home in an appropriate and timely way. They also made sure that it was easy to pick up his belongings.

My mum has been a resident in Topaz for almost 18 months now. All the staff continue to provide a first class service, not just caring for mum but also to our family too. They keep an eye on my Dad when he comes to visit Mum and are always friendly and approachable. We are very appreciative and thankful that Mum is so well cared for and settled at Red Hill.

Mum has been in Red Hill for just over 3 years and as a family cannot praise the staff enough. There have been some challenging times with Mum these last few months, but we have had loads of support to help the family through it. All the staff are wonderful and we all as a family have our favourites as you would in a lovely place like this. But all the staff are fab.

Review of Red Hill from Rachel M (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Mum moved into Red Hill 3 years ago. In all that time she has received care and compassion from the staff. Recently Mum has been ill with a chest infection and what with that and falling over has developed loss of memory in some matters. But she still continues to receive good care from staff. All your staff at Red Hill are helpful and caring. Only one thing I think you could change is employing a staff member to sit with the residents and give them company in the day.

My experience of Waterside Care Centre has been very positive. The environment is compassionate and caring. The staff are professional and respectful to all residents. I have seen residents with complex needs listened to carefully and received with patience and kindness. What stands out is that every staff member, from the home manager to the carers, cleaners and kitchen staff are kind and considerate. Looking after residents with dementia is a demanding role but all of the staff are exceptionally caring and helpful. They always seem to have a positive attitude and nothing is too much trouble.
Waterside has a very calm, relaxed atmosphere which allows residents to move around freely.
The catering team provide food to an excellent standard and accommodate special diets.
All staff are involved in the varied activities and families are encouraged to attend and join in.

We can highly recommend this home for residential dementia care.

My mother recently spent some time there for respite, and it's a lovely home.

Very welcoming, the staff seemed to care. The deputy manager, Jenny, was excellent. She made my mother feel very special and actually spent time with her to welcome her to the home, an excellent home for a respite stay
