I can't fault the service of care given to Mary who has been a resident for nearly three years. At every stage of her care any changes or health issues have been quickly communicated to me or her husband and actions taken. All staff, without exception, are pleasant and treat us as if we were family.
Mary has always been shown clean and nicely dressed in her room.
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you for your review - we are so pleased you were happy with the care delivered and shown to you all as a family this will be passed on to the teams that cared for your relative.

When my mother arrived she was encouraged to join in activities. Which she enjoyed when the mood took her. Sitting with staff, I felt I was listened to when I expressed concerns about mum. Only criticism is during evenings and weekend their are less staff and answering the door is very slow. On the
whole staff were caring and conscientious.
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you for your Feedback - its very much appreciated. Weekends and evenings staff are reminded to answer the door in a timely manner. we will share the feedback with the team who cared for your mum.

My Aunt came to Red Hill in January 2023, having suffered a heart attack and as a result of that severe hypothermia one icy December morning in 2022.
After spells in different wards at hospital, then Malvern Community Hospital, she arrived, still not herself, for a CHC assessment.
Before her arrival
I had arranged to meet the Manager one Dulcie Link. What an impressive lady. I was shown around, nothing was hidden and my unease of my Aunt b being sent to Red Hill disappeared. I duly report back to my Aunt who had asked me to look/inspect, far and wide to recommend the best home for her, in my opinion.
My Aunt was treated as one of the 'Family", nothing was too much trouble, and there was always a mug of tea, a chat and plenty of smiles to make a new resident settle. The food is first class.
In the three years she has been here, she has been very happy, well looked after, and cared for including medication. She has never wanted to move , why would she!
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you so much for your wonderful feedback we will share it within the staff team that cared for your aunt. your Aunt was a truly special lady to us all and we will miss her and you

Our father was a resident from December 2024 until October 2025. Throughout his stay the care and kindness from Redhill has been excellent. Everyone of the staff made us feel very welcome as a family, Our father especially at the end was put front and centre. I am so glad that he lived at Redhill as
dad was treated with dignity and respect. Thank you.

My dad was very poorly when he arrived at The Mowbray in April 2025 and from the moment of his arrival the staff could not have been more attentive to his very complex needs. The kindness, compassion and sheer professionalism shown towards him by staff at all times was so appreciated by myself and my
family. Dad was a very private man - he didn't want to socialise outside of his room but company was brought to him and he spoke highly of every one, including the lovely therapy dog, and he loved the food! Thanks so much to one special staff member (you know who you are!) who gave us regular updates as dad neared his end. He passed the early hours of the morning after his 89th and he couldn't have been given a better send off with the fuss they made of him the day before. A heartful thank you.
Reply from Julie Barraclough, Manager at Mowbray Nursing HomeThank you so very much for the wonderful words of kindness; it means so much to the staff. It was our absolute pleasure to look after your wonderful father, who was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He had a wonderful and supportive family around him, which made him so happy . He will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you once again and I will pass this message to the special one

My Mother Dania has been a resident at Redhill for nearly twelve months on the Dementia suite.
During her stay we have got to know the staff quite well. Both my wife and myself have been so impressed with the care Mum receives, we are also shown a great deal of compassion as we find mum's situation
very difficult to deal with.
The staff have a very challenging job which I certainly could not do
I would always be confident that Mum is in great hands, the staff are attentive, friendly, and compassionate with the residents who have conditions that would try the patience of a saint.
So well done Dulcie and Zoltan and all the staff keep on doing what your doing, a fantastic job.

My wife has now been in Waterside Care Centre for more than 8 months (she has advanced dementia) during that time I have only seen kindness and affection towards her from the manager and all the staff. Regardless of their jobs when they go past her they stop and try to engage with her to make her smile.
All the staff male and female have a great understanding of all the residents. Keep up the good work Waterside, and on behalf of myself and family a very big thank you for the care you give my wife.
Reply from Penelope Cottrill, Manager at Waterside Care CentreThank you for your beautiful words. Were truly honoured to care for your wife, and it means so much to us to know you feel supported. We love having you here, and the team always enjoys your visits. Your kindness and appreciation brighten everyones day. Thank you again from all of us at Waterside.

What a wonderful bunch of people! We cannot thank you enough for all your kindness and care. Your support, friendly chats and passing smiles made such a difference to our dear Mum in her final year. It was so reassuring for us to know she was so well looked after.
Also, a huge thank you for putting
up with our daily visits, with food parcels, laughs and tears. We miss you.
Reply from Julie Barraclough, Manager at Mowbray Nursing HomeThank you so much; it was an absolute pleasure, to care for your Mum and what a lady she was, we miss her deeply, but she will never be forgotten. My mum suffered with Dementia and was on Redhill's Topaz wing until her recent death.
The staff were so caring, compassionate and competent. It felt like a home from home in the way they cared for our whole family.
The enrichment activities really give mum something to enjoy, when she could. The
nursing care at the end was seamless.
There are, undoubtedly, newer, smarter looking care homes in the area. However, for quality of care ( including a lack of use of agency care) I would highly recommend Redhill.
Reply from Rahi Joshi, Marketing Associate at Red HillThank you for your thoughtful review. We're honoured that your mum received compassionate dementia and nursing care at Redhill. Our team is dedicated to creating a warm, home-from-home environment with meaningful activities and consistent, high-quality care. Thank you for your recommendation and kind words about our home team.

Look past the chipped paintwork. What makes a good home is the people. I cannot fault the care here. The staff are unfailingly caring, cheerful and react to any request straight away. You are always important to them. The food is good, old fashioned British. The staff engage the residents in activities
as much as they are able to. Non of our children have any reservations about Redhill.
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you for your feedback, We will pass your complements to the staff Team.

Our dear Mum received palliative care at Mowbray Nursing Home for the last 10 weeks of her life after being transferred from St Richards Hospice. The staff at the home provided excellent care with dignity and compassion. Nursing staff always did their best to keep Mum as comfortable as possible with
her progressing illness. Staff always kept our family fully informed of any changes in health or medication adjustments. Staff also gave emotional support with empathy to my Dad and ourselves too.
Mum had a pleasant room which looked out to the rear garden. The home is kept spotless at all times and the meals are all freshly cooked. The in-house laundry service was excellent and freshly laundered items were always delivered to Mum with a smile. Nothing seems too much trouble for staff who all work tirelessly to do their best to tend to residents needs. In Mum's last few days the excellent nursing care gave Mum a peaceful end for which as a family we shall always be grateful.

My late wife spent the final 2 months of her life in palliative care at Mowbray for terminal cancer. The care, compassion and understanding she and myself received was outstanding.
All staff showed a genuine commitment to giving the very best care and treatment for my wife.
In her final few challenging
days, the support for both my wife and myself was all I could have hoped it would be.

A family atmosphere is apparent when visiting the home. Residents are cared for by friendly professional staff and treated with dignity. My Mum was well cared for and encouraged to join in a range of activities, available most days. She enjoyed the daily freshly cooked food and eating with some of the
other residents in the dining room every day. I was kept up to date with information about my mum regularly and there was very much an open door policy to discuss any concerns with staff at any time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursing home.

My Aunt (I also hold Power of Attorney) has lived at Mowbray for several years, - she chose there after a short post-hospital respite as she liked the food. From the outset we found the staff kind, friendly, helpful, welcoming and informative. Over recent years her condition has deteriorated and is
now completely reliant upon care. Several years later we continue to be highly satisfied with the care and attention she receives and the information provided to us as and when necessary.
Reply from Julie Barraclough, Manager at Mowbray Nursing HomeThank you Trevor; it is our privilege to care for your Aunt; she is extremely lucky to have a supportive family. Thank you for your kind words; this means a lot to all of the staff here at MowbrayKind regardsJulie

Unfortunately Dad was nearing the end of his life and needed nursing care. We knew his stay in Mowbray Nursing Home would be relatively short; you do question the decision and there were moments of doubt. However, we need not have worried. From the moment of arrival were met with kindness, compassion
and an understanding of our emotional needs. I simply cannot praise the staff highly enough. The environment was excellent and the room chosen for Dad was perfect. Being able to come and go as we pleased was such a positive, as well as knowing assistance was always close by. Nothing was too much trouble. I was very impressed by all the nursing staff. We continually had updates throughout Dad's time there. It's clear to me that a dedicated cohesive team exists at Mowbray. Special thanks to one staff member in particular, as she really put us all at ease and ensured Dad was well cared for. I will be eternally grateful for how she managed Dad's end of life and her compassion shown at the end. I will never forget her.
Reply from Julie Barraclough, Manager at Mowbray Nursing HomeThank you so very much; Your words and praise means so much to all of the staff here at Mowbray; it is never easy to face the final stages of life and nothing prepares you for this difficult journey. My mum-in-law was a resident for just over two years and it has been a positive experience overall. There were several stand out positives. These positives included: regular activities, regular meetings with the manager, involvement of community, food that always appeared appetising, approachable and
caring staff, option to have hair and nails done, and above all person centred care.
Unfortunately there were some issues. I am not an electrician, but the socket in the bedroom appeared dangerous to me. I do not remember if we mentioned about the socket (our bad). I will say that any issues or queries that we had were always quickly resolved by staff.
Care in the final hours was exceptional. Compassion and empathy were foremost at this sad time. The Last Office was beautifully carried out.
A huge thank you from the family.
