Unfortunately Dad was nearing the end of his life and needed nursing care. We knew his stay in Mowbray Nursing Home would be relatively short; you do question the decision and there were moments of doubt. However, we need not have worried. From the moment of arrival were met with kindness, compassion
and an understanding of our emotional needs. I simply cannot praise the staff highly enough. The environment was excellent and the room chosen for Dad was perfect. Being able to come and go as we pleased was such a positive, as well as knowing assistance was always close by. Nothing was too much trouble. I was very impressed by all the nursing staff. We continually had updates throughout Dad's time there. It's clear to me that a dedicated cohesive team exists at Mowbray. Special thanks to one staff member in particular, as she really put us all at ease and ensured Dad was well cared for. I will be eternally grateful for how she managed Dad's end of life and her compassion shown at the end. I will never forget her.

My dear friend has been resident at Waterside Leigh Sinton for about 4 years. He has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. His care during this time has been excellent. My mum-in-law was a resident for just over two years and it has been a positive experience overall. There were several stand out positives. These positives included: regular activities, regular meetings with the manager, involvement of community, food that always appeared appetising, approachable and
caring staff, option to have hair and nails done, and above all person centred care.


Unfortunately there were some issues. I am not an electrician, but the socket in the bedroom appeared dangerous to me. I do not remember if we mentioned about the socket (our bad). I will say that any issues or queries that we had were always quickly resolved by staff.


Care in the final hours was exceptional. Compassion and empathy were foremost at this sad time. The Last Office was beautifully carried out.

One complaint, miserable manager and office staff.
The rest of the home as you enter the main security door, everyone else is smiley and happy. Never had a reason to complain and I and our family are very happy that the care other staff do even the cleaner and laundry are lovely and do a great job.

Residents bathroom facilities are dated but totally adequate. Some windows have broken seals. On the other hand the ratio of staff to residents is far above more modern residences I have experienced. There are quiet gardens which residents can look out on or taken into. Main issue is for visitors gaining
access at weekends when no one is in reception apart from passing laundry and kitchen staff, after handover when residents are taken to lounge after breakfast, staff are then engaged giving personal care to residents.

Dad has been encouraged to engage in different activities and experiences, although mostly he likes to stay in his room. The staff are well mannered, very respectful and kind, being aware of all of his needs. The management have a wonderful inclusive policy to involve relatives and friends in regular
sessions to discuss, support and ideas. Red Hill is a complete contrast to where mum resided and they constantly put us siblings at ease, are flexible and friendly. They showed real care towards Dad, which is invaluable.

Lovely place moms happy and settled there and very happy with the care she gets staff are nice meals smell good and she's always clean and looks happy I always made to feel welcome when visiting and would highly recommend this nursing home

My mother has been a resident at Red Hill care centre for six months and since the day she moved in, I have been impressed with the level of care and support both my mother and I have received. I have found the management team to be straightforward, efficient and extremely responsive to requests I have
made and the team at Red Hill are all very kind hard working and professional. Mum is treated with dignity. She is encouraged to be as independent as she is able to be and is allowed to make her own decisions regarding her care where this is possible. I feel extremely pleased to have mum settled at Red Hill.

My husband was cared for two months, he was so well looked after with such kindness and dignity. he always looked smart and well shaved his clothes always changed, the staff were always in there tending to his needs. He never asked to come home which is so comforting to us as a family. The end was rather
sooner than was thought but the care was amazing both to him and to us as a family.
The home, was very well staffed and the communications with staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble.
Lots of facilities there for residents.

This is a very caring and homely facility. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, it does feel like home from home.
On the downside, the bedrooms/en-suites are beginning to look very very dated and tired.

We had a wonderful party for my mum's 70th. The care staff were so helpful and made us some lovely sandwiches and a super buffet.
Mum loves her time at Red Hill. They know her so well and take care of all of her needs. The staff are friendly and attentive to her and always polite and helpful when
we are visiting.
Mum also gets the opportunity to get involved in various activities. She loves all of the arts and crafts but singing and listening to music is her favourite.

Couldn't be happier with my grandmother's placement at Red Hill. Every time I visit she seems happy and content. Her room is well-kept and tidy and the bed is always made. The staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are responsive to any questions I may have.
The communal areas are clean and well-lit, and the facilities are great. Plenty of activities that my Grandma enjoys being part of. All in all would highly recommend Red Hill. Thank you for all you do.

The home is well run and staff training good. The staffing levels are good and the staff appear to be hard working and to cope well with the needs of all the residents who are all suffering from Dementia.
Plenty of activities are provided. The standards of cleanliness is high. Over Christmas and New
Year, there was the opportunity for relatives to join in the activities - Christmas party, Christmas, Boxing day and New Years Day lunch.

My husband was cared for from 20 July 2023 to 4 July 2024 when he died. I cannot praise the staff enough; they were all, without exception, gentle, kind, considerate and so very caring towards him. Staff members kept us informed of any GP or hospital visits he required and of changes in dietary regimes.
The communication via staff from the home was excellent and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who may be considering placing a loved one into residential care.

I feel so fortunate to have got my Mum into Red Hill. All the staff are so friendly. The care she has received has been excellent. At the very end of her life, the staff were all so loving and caring to her and also to me. They made a very difficult experience as good as it could possibly be. Mum has
also made some good friendships with other residents whilst she has been at Red Hill. I have felt so reassured to know she is being looked after so well and that if the staff are concerned about her they will contact me. This has been an invaluable part of the care for me, as I live in Yorkshire and am an only child. Honestly, the support and care offered has been exceptional. Thank you.

My mom has been here since August for residential care. She has settled in quite well and quickly. She has dementia so change hasn't always been good. She's always happy and relaxed. Staff are always caring happy and helpful. Nothing is a problem for them and I know she is safe. They look after all
her needs and so that helps all the family know she is safe and secure. I thank you all.
