My mum has been a resident in Topaz for almost 18 months now. All the staff continue to provide a first class service, not just caring for mum but also to our family too. They keep an eye on my Dad when he comes to visit Mum and are always friendly and approachable. We are very appreciative and thankful
that Mum is so well cared for and settled at Red Hill.

Mum has been in Red Hill for just over 3 years and as a family cannot praise the staff enough. There have been some challenging times with Mum these last few months, but we have had loads of support to help the family through it. All the staff are wonderful and we all as a family have our favourites
as you would in a lovely place like this. But all the staff are fab.
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you for your feedback its much Appreciated, its so nice to see mum joining in more now with the activities and joining her friends for for meals in the dining area. this will be shared with the team who care for mum.

Mum moved into Red Hill 3 years ago. In all that time she has received care and compassion from the staff. Recently Mum has been ill with a chest infection and what with that and falling over has developed loss of memory in some matters. But she still continues to receive good care from staff. All your
staff at Red Hill are helpful and caring. Only one thing I think you could change is employing a staff member to sit with the residents and give them company in the day.
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you for your feedback its very much appreciated , its a pleasure to care for your mum , we will share this with the staff team who care for your mum. Its nice to see mum joining in the activities more now and joining other residents in the dining area .

My experience of Waterside Care Centre has been very positive. The environment is compassionate and caring. The staff are professional and respectful to all residents. I have seen residents with complex needs listened to carefully and received with patience and kindness. What stands out is that every
staff member, from the home manager to the carers, cleaners and kitchen staff are kind and considerate. As a husband, it means so much to know my wife is being cared for with dignity and respect. I am grateful for the support and care provided by the team at Waterside.
Reply from Penelope Cottrill, Manager at Waterside Care CentreThank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience at Waterside Care Centre. We are especially pleased to hear that the kindness and professionalism of our staff has made such a positive difference to you and your wife. Providing person-centred care and creating a supportive, respectful environment for residents and their families is at the heart of everything we do.

Looking after residents with dementia is a demanding role but all of the staff are exceptionally caring and helpful. They always seem to have a positive attitude and nothing is too much trouble.
Waterside has a very calm, relaxed atmosphere which allows residents to move around freely.
The catering

All staff are involved in the varied activities and families are encouraged to attend and join in.
We can highly recommend this home for residential dementia care.

Over the past 2 years, I have noticed that while there have been staff changes, there is a core staff who seem more permanent. I feel that this is good for long-term residents and also suggests a good level of job satisfaction and satisfaction with the management and working conditions.
Reply from Penelope Cottrill, Manager at Waterside Care CentreThank you for your thoughtful review and for recognising the value of having a consistent core team. Were pleased to hear that youve noticed the positive impact this has on both our residents and the working environment. Building strong, lasting relationships is very important to us, and your feedback means a great deal to the whole team. Thank you again for your support over the past two years.

My mother recently spent some time there for respite, and it's a lovely home.
Very welcoming, the staff seemed to care. The deputy manager, Jenny, was excellent. She made my mother feel very special and actually spent time with her to welcome her to the home, an excellent home for a respite stay
Reply from Julie Barraclough, Manager at Mowbray Nursing HomeThank you so very much for taking the time to send us a positive review. We are pleased that your mother felt special whilst on respite care and that your own expectations were met. Kind regards Julie

We made the right choice after my father was in a previous care home, which could not cope with him; we found Waterside, thank goodness. We should of bought him here first. Lovely staff, so patient and genuinly very compassionate and caring. Never seen anyone lose patience with the residents. Kept clean
and tidy all areas and personal bedrooms.

Very pleased with care provided, attitude and friendly nature of carers and overall consideration given to the specific needs and requirements of my mother.
She eat & drank well, with continual encouragement, and the staff were sympathetic and empathetic of her abilities.
She was only on respite
care for a week but seemed to enjoy the experience and would be very happy to return.
The only slight downside was the building and facilities - whilst being clean & hygienic it was all a bit 'tired' , but thats a small price to pay for the overall experience.
Thank you
Reply from Julie Barraclough, Manager at Mowbray Nursing HomeThank you Gareth, for the positive comments about the care your mother received. The home is constantly being refurbished and maintained due the nature of the building but pleased to hear you found the home to be clean and hygienic. I will pass on your kind comments about the staff at Mowbray

My mother has been a resident for approximately 3 years, when her dementia got to a point we could no longer keep her safe living at home. I cannot fault the care she has received during this time, the Management are very knowledgeable, approachable and helpful the nursing and care staff are all brilliant
and understand her needs even when she struggles to communicate with them, the auxiliaries keep the home comfortable and spotless. The continuity of the staff is excellent which I feel is essential for residents with dementia. There are plenty of organised activities for all the residents. There is a well balanced menu with a number of options available. I cannot express how thankful we are as a family for the care my mum receives and how happy and content she is.

My friend has moved into Red Hill a few weeks ago. We are amazed how the adaption to care home living has been achieved. The staff have been attentive to all her needs, the activities, the excellent food have all contributed to her welfare and mental wellbeing. There is a friendly atmosphere throughout
with even animal visits taking place which my friend appreciated. Having no family in this country, we all appreciate the care shown to her.

I can't fault the service of care given to Mary who has been a resident for nearly three years. At every stage of her care any changes or health issues have been quickly communicated to me or her husband and actions taken. All staff, without exception, are pleasant and treat us as if we were family.
Mary has always been shown clean and nicely dressed in her room.
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you for your review - we are so pleased you were happy with the care delivered and shown to you all as a family this will be passed on to the teams that cared for your relative.

When my mother arrived she was encouraged to join in activities. Which she enjoyed when the mood took her. Sitting with staff, I felt I was listened to when I expressed concerns about mum. Only criticism is during evenings and weekend their are less staff and answering the door is very slow. On the
whole staff were caring and conscientious.
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you for your Feedback - its very much appreciated. Weekends and evenings staff are reminded to answer the door in a timely manner. we will share the feedback with the team who cared for your mum.

My Aunt came to Red Hill in January 2023, having suffered a heart attack and as a result of that severe hypothermia one icy December morning in 2022.
After spells in different wards at hospital, then Malvern Community Hospital, she arrived, still not herself, for a CHC assessment.
Before her arrival
I had arranged to meet the Manager one Dulcie Link. What an impressive lady. I was shown around, nothing was hidden and my unease of my Aunt b being sent to Red Hill disappeared. I duly report back to my Aunt who had asked me to look/inspect, far and wide to recommend the best home for her, in my opinion.
My Aunt was treated as one of the 'Family", nothing was too much trouble, and there was always a mug of tea, a chat and plenty of smiles to make a new resident settle. The food is first class.
In the three years she has been here, she has been very happy, well looked after, and cared for including medication. She has never wanted to move , why would she!
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you so much for your wonderful feedback we will share it within the staff team that cared for your aunt. your Aunt was a truly special lady to us all and we will miss her and you

dad was treated with dignity and respect. Thank you.
