Red Hill

My cousin James received wonderful care at Red Hill Nursing Home. The staff and management take a personal attitude to looking after each of the residents, it really feels like home with a family feel.

Over all good rooms could do with when the rooms become empty to be decorated for the next resident. everything else was ok except getting into the buiding at weekends espicially in the winter when its wet and cold waiting for someone to let you in.

My husband is a long term resident of Red Hill Care Centre and my experience has only ever been positive. All staff, including administrative, clinical and support have always been cheerful, helpful and supportive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Red Hill and my family and I thank them for all that they are doing.

I cannot fault the care and compassion shown towards my Father suffering from advanced Alzheimer's, by the staff of Red Hill Care Centre. I always felt he was safe, well looked after and his medical needs and wishes were met. He passed away this month and in the lead up, the staff were brilliant, looking out for his dignity and comfort; they were also fantastic with me being there as well. I don't hesitate to recommend this care home and its staff - it's a very well managed facility and I'm grateful he was looked after here.

My father was a resident at the home from August 2024 until his death in May this year. I visited him a few times a year and I have friends who visited more frequently. His care was of a good standard and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The staff ensured that my dad saw my mum most days as she resides there as well. The room was always clean and tidy. Overall I am very happy with the care he received and the way that they treated him once he died, ensuring that he was safely taken to the funeral home in an appropriate and timely way. They also made sure that it was easy to pick up his belongings.

My mum has been a resident in Topaz for almost 18 months now. All the staff continue to provide a first class service, not just caring for mum but also to our family too. They keep an eye on my Dad when he comes to visit Mum and are always friendly and approachable. We are very appreciative and thankful that Mum is so well cared for and settled at Red Hill.

The staff are always happy and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum's very happy here. The security is very good, and the place is always clean and tidy.

Mum has been in Red Hill for just over 3 years and as a family cannot praise the staff enough. There have been some challenging times with Mum these last few months, but we have had loads of support to help the family through it. All the staff are wonderful and we all as a family have our favourites as you would in a lovely place like this. But all the staff are fab.

Mum moved into Red Hill 3 years ago. In all that time she has received care and compassion from the staff. Recently Mum has been ill with a chest infection and what with that and falling over has developed loss of memory in some matters. But she still continues to receive good care from staff. All your staff at Red Hill are helpful and caring. Only one thing I think you could change is employing a staff member to sit with the residents and give them company in the day.

My mother has been a resident for approximately 3 years, when her dementia got to a point we could no longer keep her safe living at home. I cannot fault the care she has received during this time, the Management are very knowledgeable, approachable and helpful the nursing and care staff are all brilliant and understand her needs even when she struggles to communicate with them, the auxiliaries keep the home comfortable and spotless. The continuity of the staff is excellent which I feel is essential for residents with dementia. There are plenty of organised activities for all the residents. There is a well balanced menu with a number of options available. I cannot express how thankful we are as a family for the care my mum receives and how happy and content she is.

My friend has moved into Red Hill a few weeks ago. We are amazed how the adaption to care home living has been achieved. The staff have been attentive to all her needs, the activities, the excellent food have all contributed to her welfare and mental wellbeing. There is a friendly atmosphere throughout with even animal visits taking place which my friend appreciated. Having no family in this country, we all appreciate the care shown to her.

I have been here at Red Hill for almost a year and I have had excellent care and kindness from all the staff here. I can't fault them in any way.

I can't fault the service of care given to Mary who has been a resident for nearly three years. At every stage of her care any changes or health issues have been quickly communicated to me or her husband and actions taken. All staff, without exception, are pleasant and treat us as if we were family. Mary has always been shown clean and nicely dressed in her room.

Thank you Red Hill for looking after our mum.

When my mother arrived she was encouraged to join in activities. Which she enjoyed when the mood took her. Sitting with staff, I felt I was listened to when I expressed concerns about mum. Only criticism is during evenings and weekend their are less staff and answering the door is very slow. On the whole staff were caring and conscientious.

In the three years she has been here, she has been very happy, well looked after, and cared for including medication. She has never wanted to move , why would she!

Can't thank you enough always polite and helpful when we visit

Our father was a resident from December 2024 until October 2025. Throughout his stay the care and kindness from Redhill has been excellent. Everyone of the staff made us feel very welcome as a family, Our father especially at the end was put front and centre. I am so glad that he lived at Redhill as dad was treated with dignity and respect. Thank you.

So well done Dulcie and Zoltan and all the staff keep on doing what your doing, a fantastic job.

There are, undoubtedly, newer, smarter looking care homes in the area. However, for quality of care ( including a lack of use of agency care) I would highly recommend Redhill.
