We required emergency respite care for my great aunt, who became ill and was feeling all confused. Lyndhurst responded immediately to attend her home to assess her needs. On admission, she was made to feel very welcome and all required care was given in a very professional way by all staff. She left to return home after 8 weeks of excellent care, fully well. Lyndhurst has an excellent manager and management team. They are safe, caring, efficient, effective, very responsive to needs and extremely well led.

My second cousin came to Lyndhurst for respite care. After 3 months it was felt she needed to stay in care.
It took her a long time to settle, but she is now happy. Unfortunately, she is stone deaf so it has been difficult for the staff and herself to join in conversations and activities.

My mother has received exceptional care and compassion from all of the staff, overseen by a very dedicated manager. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.

Visiting the care home 2-3 times a week. I find everything quite satisfactory overall. The staff are very dedicated, hard working and friendly and respond quickly to any queries or problems I have concerning my brother. It is clean and warm but does need some refurbishment to spruce it up. Particularly the conservatory and outside frontage. Sometimes the lunchtime menu leaves a lot to be desired and the portions overall are small.

Our experience of Lyndhurst and the staff is nothing but positive. The care mum gets is second to none. Not the most patient of people, mum can be very demanding. No matter what time of day or night we call the home is always welcoming and communication is a major part of their care and whenever. Recently, in January, when the home was closed to visitors due to flu and D and V, we were kept fully informed. In addition, when mum has required professional intervention, her requirements have always been actioned promptly. Basically, we have no issues or concerns about the support, treatment and care mum receives from Lyndhurst. Nothing but excellent.

The home always has the best interests of my mother as it's priority in the event o her becoming distressed. They do their best to reassure and comfort her, keeping me informed and updated. I have no complaints or issues with the service they provide I would recommend them to potential clients.

The home and staff are very happy at the responses and feedback received.

Mum as she is known to me entered Lyndhurst latter end of 2015. At first she struggled being in new surroundings and having that feeling of losing control of her surroundings. After a two week rejection period Mum began to settle. Now, she believes that the 'Girls' that look after her are fantastic and will not have a word said against them. Overall the staff, from the Cleaners, Carers etc. through to the Manager have been nothing other than professional in their approach to her well being and even though they have been at the end of a tongue lashing from Mum in the early days you can see that there is a genuine fondness for her from them. Only on one occasion have I ever smelt anything untoward and that was only when one of their clients had a medical issue. I would have no problem in recommending this home to other potential users and calling at any time as I do never seems to be an issue for the staff. I would give this home my highest recommendation.

My mum first care to Lyndhurst in July 2011 for respite care when she first became disabled. It was for a short stay but she was really impressed by the care and attention she received. By 2014 her disability had become worse and she considered going into care full time, she requested that if she could go to Lyndhurst she would be overjoyed. Luckily for her and for me she had a place offered. I visit regularly and she keeps telling me how lovely the staff are, nothing is too much trouble and she is well looked after. I can see for myself how clean the rooms are and the staff are brilliant. All residents look happy and contented to be there.
