My mother is a new resident and from what I can see and what she has said I can see she has settled in very well. The staff are very friendly, approachable and clearly well trained. This seems like the perfect place for my mum to live.

My mother has been in Lyndhurst almost 3 years, within that time she has been content and happy within the care home setting. Staff are attentive and have mums best interests at heart. Since Lauren and Beccy have arrived the activities have been excellent. In general mum is happy with the care home,
and it's setting, the only suggestion would be that the menu could be more varied. Otherwise thank you!

My aunt has been a resident at Lyndhurst for over 8 years. It has become her home and she feels safe, cared for and very happy. I have never felt any concern for her welfare. And always come away from my visits feeling assured that she is in the best place. All the staff are attentive, respectful and
good-humoured. I am so grateful to the wonderful team of people at Lyndhurst.

Lyndhurst have been nothing short of brilliant with my mum. My mum was always anti carehome because in her eyes it was a sign of getting old and losing her independence. The care staff from day one when she arrived there have been so helpful and supportive of my mum and us as family as well. The work
that they do there and the effort they make to see to everyone's needs is so warming to see for us as family members. My mum is so settled there and I believe that's due to the care and support she gets from the staff. Would highly recommend. 10/10

My mum was moved into Lyndhurst originally for respite but was struggling with mobility and General care after a stroke. We found it to be both efficient and accommodating . Carol and the staff always happy to help with any concerns and worries we had & always go above and beyond to help mum settle
in to a new environment. Anything she needs is assessed quickly and we are more comfortable knowing she has the care she now needs and is being provided with a lovely safe place in which to call home. Thankyou for your support & helping us as a family to make sure our mum is content & happy x

Experience from arrival to departure was excellent. We were introduced to the staff on arrival and made my husband feel very welcome. High standards were maintained during the whole of the stay. They identified my husbands needs before the stay and made any necessary adjustments without delay. My husband
was treated with respect by all staff so much so he is looking forward to any future visits, giving me assurance that he will be well cared for in the respite care.
Reply from Rahi Joshi, Marketing Associate at LyndhurstThank you for your wonderful feedback. We are glad to hear your husband is happy at Lyndhurst. Our team strives to maintain a warm and welcoming environment for residents and their families. I will pass your kind sentiments onto the home team.

An amazing facility that feels like a home from home for myself and my mum. After my reluctance to have my mum in care after a bad experience, I can honestly say that the manager and her team have been amazing and have given my mum a better life and me a more stress-free life. I love coming to visit
every day and seeing her interacting with other residents too. A big shout out to another staff member, she is amazing to both my mum and me, love her. Thanks.

When visiting or telephoning the care home, the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Whenever needing to discuss issues with management, I have found them to be attentive and act readily to deal with issues. The deputy manager has a very understanding, considerate manner and makes people feel at ease
and listened to. The new manager is very understanding and helpful and someone who acts to deal with situations in a calm and considerate manner.

The home is fantastic and has fantastic staff. Nothing too much trouble for residents. Plenty of weekly activities for residents and trips out all through the year. Health care is excellent, all visitors are welcome where possible. All in all, would recommend this home. Writing this review as my loved
one has recently passed away.

The last six months have been difficult for my mother after leaving her own home after 50 years. We were told by the care home staff that it would take weeks for her to settle in. I have found that she is slowly adapting to her new life. She is only around the corner from me and I think this helps.
I find the staff friendly and caring. The most important thing for me is I feel she is safe.
Reply from Carol Pemberton, Manager at LyndhurstThank you for your kind words, this means a lot to myself and the staff caring for your mother. we are glad you feel your mum is safe at Lyndhurst. Very friendly, staff always approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Exceptional care is given by all staff members. The home is clean and very welcoming. After a couple of respite sessions, mum was happy to go full-time as a resident. I can see she's cared for and staff are sympathetic towards
her when she is confused or frustrated.
Mum's happy so we are happy. Well done to the team. Keep smiling and doing what you're doing.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.591)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.591) out of 10 for Lyndhurst is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.716 for Lyndhurst is calculated as follows: ( (145 Excellents x 5) + (36 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 190 Ratings = 4.716
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lyndhurst is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
