Red Hill

from Christopher O (Nephew of Resident) published on 24 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Aunt came to Red Hill in January 2023, having suffered a heart attack and as a result of that severe hypothermia one icy December morning in 2022.
After spells in different wards at hospital, then Malvern Community Hospital, she arrived, still not herself, for a CHC assessment.
Before her arrival
I had arranged to meet the Manager one Dulcie Link. What an impressive lady. I was shown around, nothing was hidden and my unease of my Aunt b being sent to Red Hill disappeared. I duly report back to my Aunt who had asked me to look/inspect, far and wide to recommend the best home for her, in my opinion.
My Aunt was treated as one of the 'Family", nothing was too much trouble, and there was always a mug of tea, a chat and plenty of smiles to make a new resident settle. The food is first class.
In the three years she has been here, she has been very happy, well looked after, and cared for including medication. She has never wanted to move , why would she!
Reply from Dulcie Turner, Home Manager at Red HillThank you so much for your wonderful feedback we will share it within the staff team that cared for your aunt. your Aunt was a truly special lady to us all and we will miss her and you

Both my mum and dad went for respite at the elms . Straight away the management and staff could not have been more welcoming and reassuring to myself and my parents . They truly have gone above and beyond for them and me . Very sadly my dad passed away whilst there and when I say how caring they all
were it is no understatement. Everyone has shown us the upmost respect, love and care that you should ever wish for at such a difficult time . I'm happy to say mum has decided to stay there permanently and I could not have her in safer hands. Special thanks to nic , Sam, bex, Louise, hayley and the many staff who's names I forget . I will be forever grateful for the love you showed us in dad's final days
Reply from Nichola Brennan, Registered Manager at The ElmsIt has been a pleasure to care for them both, and our sympathises remain with you at this time. Thank you for such lovely feedback, i will share it with the team.

I found my visits to my uncle always pleasant from staff's manner and attention given to him.
It often created a feeling of family care.
From chefs personal involvement over options for a meal, to nurses always showing a healing smile. They made an example of high standard.
Reply from Sharon Gerrans, Manager at Amberley House Nursing HomeThank you for your kind and heartfelt words. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that your uncle's time with us was experienced as warm, attentive and family-centred.
We are especially grateful for your recognition of both our care and catering teams, who work hard to ensure every resident feels valued, involved and treated with dignity.
Your feedback is deeply appreciated, and we will share your comments with the team as a reminder of the positive difference they made.

My mother has just spent 6 weeks at Ingersley Court on a respite placement. I first met with Laura and Chris who were very compassionate about my mother's situation. Mum decided she wanted to have some respite here. The staff were very accommodating getting my mother in sooner than anticipated. My mother
is very challenging yet the care, from what I observed was brilliant. The detail to individualised care was obvious with several residence I observed while visiting my mother. If my mother requires permanent care or respite again, Ingersley Court would be my first phone call. Carers, domestic staff, chefs and maintenance staff work very hard in very demanding roles for minimal pay. Everyone was always happy to chat and help. My brother had Christmas lunch on Christmas Day with my mother and said it was really lovely and how kind the staff were. Mum was encouraged to eat in the dining room with others and always seemed happy to be around the other residence. Thanks to everyone
Reply from Christine wootton, manager at Ingersley CourtThank you for kind feedback , i will make sure this is handed back to all the staff . Ingersley court wishes Mum and your family all the very best .

We cannot thank the staff enough for the care they gave and shown towards our mother while she was in their care. Unfortunately, mum was terminally ill and has recently passed away. The compassion the home showed towards us as a family we cannot thank them enough for that.

The staff at Duncote hall are caring, kind, empathetic and professional. My mother only moved in late last year and to date the care she has received has been second to none. I had been caring for mum for 7 years in our family home and it was really hard to let others take over, however duncote hall
staff have made this so much easier to bear.
Nothing is too much trouble they even got mum her favourite cereal in for her and remember that she really loves cheese and tomato sandwiches. All staff have shown the family such kindness too, we are welcomed by a smile and everyone always has time to chat not just about mums care but in getting to know us as relatives and people
Thank you doesnt seem enough

My Mother has been a resident since March 2025 and I have found all the staff at Duncote Hall to be both helpful and caring. They always make an effort to interact with the residents and visitors and are available to discuss any concerns and always make contact if necessary.
As soon as you go through
the front door there is a welcome and a warmth within the home. I feel very happy that my mum is with Duncote, as I live 3 hours away, and I know she is being looked after and well cared for which puts my mind at ease. Thank you to all the staff for their hardwork and care.

When I first visited Grenville I was very impressed with how welcoming and homely it was with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
What I like about this home is that every resident is treated as a member of their one big family together and each resident is very much cared for.
The home provides a wide range
of daily activities from visiting animals to singers and entertainers, the management and staff go all out to keep residents mentally stimulated and physically fit through gentle exercise sessions, if the residents want to take part.
I think all the staff I have met at Grenville are exceptional, very professional and they are all so friendly and so caring in what can be a very difficult and demanding job. I am very happy to know that my mother is in a safe place and looked after. I would highly recommend this home to anyone having to make the difficult decision to move their loved ones in to residential care.

I can't thank you all enough for everything you do for mum. The staff are so caring, friendly and funny. I am kept up to date with any changes in mum's health, well being or medication etc.
Deciding to put mum into care at her young age was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but I know she is
in such safe hands at The Lakes.
Looking forward to Spring/Summer when we can spend more time in the beautiful garden again.

My husband has been a resident at The Lakes for 18 months. He had been refused a place in 4 care homes so it was a great relief when he was given a permanent place. His behaviour was challenging but they persevered with great patience and he eventually settled happily.I visit 3 or 4 times a week and
am always impressed by the patience and kindness of the carers. There are a wide variety of stimulating activities including regular visits from singers and musicians. In the summer it is lovely to sit together in the garden.
The senior staff are very approachable and any concerns are addressed.
I am so grateful to everyone for their patience, kindness and care.

The staff at Grenville Court have provided my wife with the highest possible care and support. They treat her with dignity and love, always ensuring she is comfortable and safe. A truly supportive environment that aims for and achieves a family atmosphere. The staff are always helpful and caring even

Saffron House

I would like to start by saying how kind, caring and approachable all the staff are. Nothing ever feels too much trouble, and the way they support my stepdad, particularly with his dementia, is genuinely appreciated. It gives our family great reassurance knowing he is so well looked after.

However,

I do want to raise an ongoing concern regarding laundry. On numerous occasions, the clothes in his wardrobe are not his, and sadly some of his own clothes have gone missing despite all items being clearly named. I completely understand how busy the home is and that staff are caring for many residents, but this has become quite frustrating and upsetting over time.

I wondered whether a simple solution might help prevent this continuing. For example, providing each resident with their own washable laundry bag kept in their room, which could then be placed directly into the washing machine. Separate bags for whites and colours could make this even and reduce items being mixed up .

Reply from Rahi Joshi, Marketing Associate at Saffron HouseThank you for your thoughtful feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the care and comfort provided for your Stepdad at Saffron House. We are very sorry to hear about the ongoing concerns and will take any necessary actions if required.
