I am the husband of Kathlyn who is a resident at Abbey well. I could not have picked a better home for my wife who is bedridden due to a massive stroke. All the staff from office staff to maintenance men and cleaners are fantastic, and I should know as I visit my wife every other day for 6 hours at a time. Myself and my wife treat all the staff as our friends. I am looked after at Abbeywell as much as my wife. In my opinion Abbeywell is by far the best nursing home in the midlands, it's a very clean and well looked after home. I don't know what I would do without Abbeywell. I can't praise the entire staff enough. Well done Abbeywell and keep up the good work.

It was with a heavy heart that my family decided that my dad's needs would be better met in a nursing home. We had to find somewhere that would not only take care of his physical needs, but do so with compassion, patience, empathy and kindness. We also wanted somewhere that had social activities that would encourage him to be engaged and mentally stimulated. I think we found that at Abbeywell Court. From my observations, the staff there are attentive, patient, kind and seek to engage with the residents with compassion. I can go there at any time and my dad is always clean and well kept. My family may not have wanted my dad to be at a nursing home, but having had to choose one, I think we chose well with Abbeywell Court.

Very responsive and helpful Manager, Deputy Manager and Administrator. They all return my phone calls and emails really quickly. The Nurses are really compassionate and are very conscientious. The care assistants genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and are fast at attending call buttons too. I feel like we have been welcomed so kindly and feel like part of the Abbeywell family. My relatives have had a particularly difficult time with serious health problems and the compassion and support that the team have shown is impeccable. Thank you Abbeywell Court :-)

Mum has had good care from the dedicated, hard working and caring staff, mum has had a lot of love from staff and the hard work and dedication to all the residents is heart warming to see. It has done the my mum and the residents so much for their mental stability to have activities that are done on a regular basis in the care home. It also makes the residents feel they are achieving something positive and fun. This is a care home that is clean, caring and wonderful dedicated staff.

My lovely mum passed in April 2026, she had been at Abbeywell Court for several years.
The staff were lovely, kind, caring and welcoming throughout her time with them.
As she neared the end of life they remained committed to ensuring she was treated with dignity and continued to be sensitive to us as her family.

Thank you all so much xx

She was welcomed but at first was a little reserved due to new surroundings. Its good to see how she's settled and enjoys the community activities. Its wonderful to see a smile on her face. The staff are very approachable, the activity coordinator is doing an amazing job engaging with all the residents.

My mother has resided at Abbeywell Court for 12 months now and in that time she has been well looked after. The rooms provided are clean and tidy. She seems very content living there.
The staff are friendly and helpful whenever I visit and they are organised with the daily care of the residents.
The management and nurses keep me informed of any issues that may arise with her care.

The fact that from day one she settled into the home is peace of mind for myself.

This home is fantastic!

The quality of care is exceptional and the staff are fabulous, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The activities and entertainment provided for the residents is varied and engaging from playing games, singing, or having a massage. On birthdays, a cake is made and a party atmosphere is used to celebrate the birthdays of the residents. Sometimes a singer will serenade the staff, family and residents. There are always some great fundraising events going on, which family and residents can join in.

The home works closely with other NHS professionals to provide round the clock care and family are kept informed about any personal or health changes. Mum is doing very well in this home and it is because of the wonderful staff and management. Our family would recommend this home to anyone.

My father has been at Abbeywell Court for a little over a year. Since being there, my Dad has had a lot of medical issues that have always been dealt with in a compassionate and professional manner. Even when my Dad has needed to go to hospital, there has been a member of staff who has stayed with him and our family are really grateful for that. I am glad that we chose Abbeywell for our Dad.

Mum has resided at Abbeywell Court for approximately for 3years now. In that time mum has been well cared for her safety maintained and treated with dignity at all times. Mum enjoys the food and drink provided and also joins in with activities that are provided on a regular basis. We are kept informed regularly on mums health needs and feel involved in any decision making.

The care home in the last 12 months has undergone a makeover fresh decor carpets flooring soft furnishings etc and this has made the environment much more welcoming, comfortable and relaxing for residents staff and visitors.

My mum has been a resident at Abbeywell Court Care Home for four years, and throughout this time we have felt nothing but reassurance and gratitude. Leaving a loved one in someone else's care is never easy, but Abbeywell Court has given our family complete peace of mind.
The staff care for my mum with genuine love, kindness, and respect, ensuring she is always treated with dignity. The nursing team are exceptional, responding quickly and professionally to any health concerns, which is incredibly reassuring for us as a family.
The daily activities bring so much joy and meaning to the residents' lives, and seeing my mum engaged and smiling means more to us than words can say. Lonelia, the activities coordinator, is absolutely wonderful and brings warmth and happiness to every day.

Both Managers are always approachable and supportive, and it is comforting to know there is always someone willing to listen and help. Abbeywell Court truly feels like a caring community,

Mum seems quite settled at the home. She is washed and appropriately dressed every day.
Her bedroom is in need of refurbishment, which will be done soon, but it is kept warm, clean and tidy.
The care staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. The entertainment lady is brilliant and gets most of the residents involved in activities; my mum, however, would probably benefit from more 1-1 time. There is a singer on at least once per month and also petting animals occasionally. There are regular raffles, bake sales and themed events. There is a small garden where residents can sit out in warmer weather and also do some gardening.

The care home is always clean, has good security and safety measures in place.

To be honest your service is excellent, the carers in the main very good understanding and pro active.

The solo time for a carer in the day room is less good as 1 person cannot see all residents and the time is often utilised to fill in details on their devices meaning full care is unable to be performed.

Apart from this the home is mostly excellent and individual carers also in the main excellent.

My husband and I cared for our neighbour until he needed full-time care. I have worked in care for over 40 years and have seen both good and bad. Abbeywell is exceptional, it is very well run by a fabulous team. Everyone on the staff team is caring, kind and professional.

If you want a nursing home with all the bells and whistles, this isn't it, but if want somewhere that is clean, comfortable and where all the staff will treat you or your loved one with kindness, dignity and respect, you cannot go wrong with Abbeywell. We are kept informed of our neighbour's needs ( he has no family so we are classed as his next of kin) by the wonderful nurses and management. Nothing is too much trouble. 5 stars.
