Job summary
Our stunning new home Statham Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built
care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in the heart
of Cheshire. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents
who have a variety of care needs including residential and nursing
care. The home provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and
care to residents who have a variety of care needs. The home reflects
the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety,
comfort and care. We invest in the latest technology, and offer a
purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance
the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members
are hand selected for their warmth and passion, they have a full
induction and ongoing training from our in house trainers in
conjunction with the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all
domains by CQC. New Care has had no agency staff use for over 5 years
as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to
residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust.
Across New Care, all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage
or above.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring and motivated Head of
Hospitality to join our team. To be responsible for organising the
Hospitality Assistants and Care Assistants to enable the dining
experience for our residents to be smooth and efficient at all times.
You are responsible for dining room preparation, cleanliness and set
up, for ensuring that the meals are served in a timely, presentable
and in a correct manner. This role is an exciting role leading a team
of Hospitality Assistants, including rotas, training, supervisions. We
have a 40 hour contract available with an hourly rate of £13.20! Shift
times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
Ensure there is a provision of high standard of hospitality
service.
Support and assist visitors.
Inform the Chef of
any individual requirements of residents.
Following cleaning
schedules and procedures, as per company HACCP.
To ensure that
all training given is adhered to.
Ensure records and reports are
properly written up e.g. cleaning schedules, work sheets, fridge
temperatures and that all HACCP paperwork is completed.
Manage,
allocate duties and supervise the hospitality team ensuring a quality
delivery of care for the duration of the shift.
Coach staff and
participate in ongoing development of staff.
Take responsible
for promoting safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder
is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and experience required:
Dining or Restaurant Supervisor experience is essential.
Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable.
Ability to effectively communicate with other members of the team is
essential.
Participation in activities organised in the Home is essential.
