I have been a qualified nurse for over 17 years, and that includes 14 years of experience working in the healthcare industry, working with general nursing, Dementia care and young physically disabled and acquired brain injuries. I have had the opportunity to work in a regional role where I covered homes in Wales, Scotland, and England. I am looking forward to being a part of a diverse, modern, and dynamic management team at New Care. I am also excited about building a new team that will deliver high-standard person-centred care in line with the regulators.
Hi, I’m Nathan, the Wellbeing Coordinator here at Statham Manor Care Home. I’m passionate about creating a warm, engaging, and uplifting environment for all our residents. My role involves organising a wide variety of activities, events, and experiences that support both physical and emotional well-being.
From the buzz of busy restaurant kitchens to the heart-warming hum of a care home, my culinary journey has been anything but ordinary. After years honing my craft in the hospitality world, I took on a new challenge during the pandemic - stepping in as acting head chef at a care home in Cheadle. It didn’t take long before I was promoted to head chef, and I’ve never looked back.
When Statham opened its doors, I joined as second chef and quickly rose to head chef within a few months. I take pride in crafting delicious, comforting meals that bring joy to our residents. For me, food is about connection, so I always invite residents to share their favourite dishes and help shape our special menus. Their stories and tastes inspire me every day.
Beyond the kitchen, I swap my apron for a whistle as coach of an under-15s football team, where I channel my passion into mentoring young players. And when I’m not on the pitch or in the kitchen, you’ll find me enjoying quality time with my family and our cheeky cockapoo, Willow, who definitely thinks she’s the real boss of the house.
With over three years of dedicated service at Statham Manor, I began my journey as a general housekeeper, quickly establishing a reputation for reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Recently promoted to Head Housekeeper, I now lead the housekeeping team, ensuring the home is consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. My commitment to excellence plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents and visitors alike.
I have been with Statham Manor for nearly 3 months, and part of my role is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the administration within the home with efficiency and dedication. With over 6 years of administration experience, I have a passion for supporting both residents and staff and working with the rest of the team to create a welcoming and well-organised environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and spending quality time with my friends, family, and beloved dog, Elsie.
Statham Manor is far more than just a workplace - it’s part of my personal story. I got married at the Lymm Hotel, which once stood on the very land where Statham Manor now thrives. Being here from day one has been a privilege, and I take immense pride in ensuring our home not only meets but exceeds the standards set by our regulators.
What truly inspires me is being part of a team that leads with kindness and empowers our residents to live with dignity, joy, and connection.
Outside of work, my passion for music takes centre stage. I play in a band with four close friends, and you’ll often find us lighting up local venues with live performances.
