When my Mum was widowed earlier this year, we looked at a number of care homes in the area but were unhappy with a number of elements in each of these care homes. We were then recommended Wilmslow Manor by a friend who has a relative resident there. In the 8 weeks or so that my Mum has been resident,
we have only seen fantastic support and kindness. The rooms are fantastic, the staff are both brilliant and professional and we are very confident that her needs will be met whatever her condition as the years go by. It has taken a huge weight from my shoulders, knowing that my Mum is being well looked after.
Reply from Darren Molyneux, Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor Care HomeThank you so much for sharing your experience and for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We are truly sorry for the difficult circumstances that led to your Mum needing care, but we are delighted to hear that Wilmslow Manor has been able to offer her comfort, stability, and kindness during this transition.
Our team will be thrilled to know that their support has made a positive difference to both your Mum and your family. We take great pride in providing highquality care, maintaining beautiful living spaces, and ensuring every resident feels valued and safe. Knowing that this has lifted a weight from your shoulders means a great deal to us.
We are committed to continuing this level of care for your Mum in the years ahead, and were grateful for the trust youve placed in us.
If there is ever anything more we can do, please dont hesitate to let us know.

My Mum has recently gone into Cheadle Manor Care Home on a permanent basis. She has dementia and things got to much for my Dad to cope so the difficult decision was made by the family as being the best option. I have been blown away by the level of care my Mum has received so far. The staff are truly
outstanding and have really helped my Mum settle in. They have also helped my Dad with the transition which he has obviously found very difficult. I cannot praise this care home enough. It's wonderful!

Had an excellent experience with a carer who went above and beyond in a difficult situation with my mum. The carer was calm, practical and showed compassion. She demonstrated clearly that she has built up a friendship and trust with Mum. This was much appreciated. Also a mention to the home for all
the recent improvements. Rhiwlas is much tidier, better presented and the improvements to the residents' activities and entertainment are massive. Mum really seems to enjoy now.
Reply from Aimee Jones, Manager at Rhiwlas Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave such thoughtful and positive feedback. We are delighted to hear you and your mum had such a positive experience and that the care and compassion shown during a difficult situation made such a difference. It is wonderful to know that the trust and relationships our team builds with residents are valued. We are also grateful for your kind comments about improvements within the home, including our environment and activities programme. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I absolutely loved Statham Manor when I transferred my 96 year old mother there. The care is marvelous. Mummy however needed higher care than they were able to give her due to her deteriorating dementia. I have no problem with that as I understand. HOWEVER, I live in South Africa and they promised
to give me updates and keep me informed. They promised that I could send emails for them to read to her on a regular basis. All the time she was there (which was +/- a month and a half) I NEVER got any update or reply to ANY of my emails of which i have records). I learnt from her LPOA that she had been moved!!!!!! I think that is disgusting on behalf of the admin staff.
Reply from Alexandra Fairhurst, Head of Commissioning at Statham Manor Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you were happy with the care your mother received during her stay at Statham Manor and we appreciate your kind words about the team who supported her.
We are sorry to learn of your concerns regarding communication. We understand how important regular updates are, especially when family members live abroad. In this situation, we followed the guidance of the person with legal authority for your mother's care, as well as your mother's documented wishes. All decisions and communications were made in line with that authority to ensure her best interests were upheld.
We recognise how difficult it must have been not receiving the updates you expected and we regret any distress this caused. Your feedback has been shared with the appropriate team so we can review our processes and ensure clarity for families in similar circumstances.

My Dad moved into Eden Manor in March 2024, it was a very big and hard decision moving him into care but it was required due to his deteriorating dementia. The team have been excellent at Eden Manor from day 1 when we brought him in. All the staff are very caring, friendly and take a genuine interest
in my Dad's happiness and well being. When visiting you are always greeted with a nice welcome and a smile. The rooms and shared spaced in the home are beautifully decorated and furnished so it feels more like a nice hotel. The place is always spotlessly clean and tidy. My Dad enjoys activities on offer, such as trips out and overall has settled in really well. I can't thank the team at Eden Manor enough for all they have done and continue to do for my Dad!
Reply from Scarlett Ward, Relationships and comms coordinator at Eden Manor Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review of your experience with us. Mum moved in early April from another local care home. Several residents also moved over and they have all been very happy. Cannot fault the happy team, the great food, the personal help, the great beds/rooms. Now the dementia floor has officially opened, new routines will be soon implemented and the
final bits n pieces will settle into place. Thank you to all the staff. From housekeeping getting all clothes washed and returned next day, hospitality making sure mum enjoys her food with the occasional song from Mat, carers ensuring mum cared for with a smile, team leaders being accurate and helpful, well-being going the extra mile, reception/admin always being helpful and smiley on arrival and Michalea even sitting on reception for the day when staff not available. Everyone mucks in. Thank you.

What a wonderful care home this is! Without exception, the staff show so much love, care and compassion for the residents in their care and treat them with the utmost dignity and respect. As relatives, we are always made to feel so welcome and love visiting and experiencing the relaxed, happy, loving
atmosphere and hearing the residents' laughter and chatting together. A diverse range of activities (including trips out!) are on offer morning and afternoon, seven days a week. It has been great to see Mum joining in with these with enthusiasm! The home facilities are comfortable and modern, and the garden areas are a lovely place to sit and have a sing song in the sunshine! Relatives are also able to share a delicious meal with the residents in the dining room. The food is delicious!

I can't thank the staff enough for the care and compassion they showed Mum for the past 2 years. From the very start they made her feel welcome, safe and truly at home. The team were always kind, patient and attentive-treating her with dignity and respect every day.
The environment was clean, warm
and well managed. There was always something going on with the excellent "well being" team organising activities etc every day. The hospitality and housekeeping team were extremely efficient and always made us feel welcome when visiting.
The communication from Management and Staff was always efficient and detailed so we always knew if there were any issues and what they were doing about them.

My mother in law had been a resident at Twyford House for five years, in that time we had some ups and downs relating to her care but nothing that wasn't addressed by the various managers of the home when the issues arose.
In early May she became unwell, it was hard to see her deteriorating before
our eyes. The staff on the unit were caring and attentive to her needs. I only had to speak to a senior, deputy or the new manager and support from the GP and District Nurses were requested.
She passed away peacefully and the staff at the home were kind and compassionate at a really difficult time.
We conducted her funeral from Twyford House, there was numerous staff outside to see her off, it was very emotional, some even came to the funeral.
We returned there for her celebration wake and more staff were in attendance. The food was excellent and everyone remembered her fondly.
We can't thank the staff at Twyford House enough for the support and care they gave to our Mum (in law) Thank you xx
Reply from Jo Hassey, Home Manager at Twyford House Care HomeThank you so much, Helen, for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and deeply moving review. It was a privilege to care for her at such an important time, and we hope it brings you some comfort to know she was surrounded by kindness, dignity, and respect. Your words about the team's attentiveness and compassion will mean so much to everyone involved. Being able to be part of her farewell and to stand alongside you and your family was an honour for us all. She will always be remembered fondly by the team.
