Grappenhall Manor Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My 80 year old mum was admitted for nursing care as she had brain cancer. As her condition changed, the whole team were so very supportive and adapted her care to ensure that my mum was very well looked after. As mum became non-verbal, the team took on the challenging situation with great empathy and
understanding. Nothing was too much trouble.
I feel very comforted to know that my mum's final time of life was that she was looked after by such a capable group of amazing people, and to me, that is priceless.
Reply from Charlotte Sherrocks, Home Manager at Grappenhall Manor Care HomeThankyou for taking the time to submit such a heartfelt review, it was our absolute pleasure to support your mother and your family during the admission. I will be sure to share you lovely comments and feedback to the team.

The Hamptons Care Home

from Julia S (Friend of Resident) published on 30 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My family want to thank the staff at the Hamptons for all the care currently being given to my husband who has Parkinson's, whilst he recovers from a broken arm and shoulder.
The feeling of safety and reassurance has been invaluable to us all, a port in a storm.
No matter how difficult their working
day or night has been, the staff are incredibly cheery with laughter echoing through the corridors.
It can't be easy keeping residents entertained or occupied but every effort is made in the timetable each week.
Even if someone doesn't want to join in, it's good to know activities are there if they want them.
You may not receive praise every day, but please know every kindness is noted and gratefully received, particularly when times can be difficult for a family.
Keep doing what you're doing, it's so very much appreciated.
Reply from Sara Allton, Home Manager at The Hamptons Care HomeDear Julia

I just want to say a massive thank you to the team at the Rhallt.
I have recently moved my father from another home due to poor care. Ingrid, Amy and the care team have provided excellent care for my father, above and beyond a generic approach, catering to very specific , personal needs and honesty
feel like a family to myself and my father. Amazing regular activities, quality meals and continuous improvements in the homes presentation, equipment and facilities. I wish this home was my first consideration.

My uncle has been here for a while now and I'm honestly very happy with how things are going. He's having a wonderful time and always seems settled and content when we visit. The staff are friendly, caring and clearly take great pride in what they do. I feel that nothing we ask is too much for the staff
& they are always responsive to us. The food is always tasty, well presented and he really enjoys it. There is a good variety of meals. Overall, it's a lovely place with a great atmosphere, and we're very grateful for the care and attention he receives.

Wilmslow Manor Care Home

from Nicola A (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 January 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum and Dad became residents of Wilmslow Manor in April 2024 when Mum's Vascular dementia became too much for Dad to manage at home. When Mum died in May 2024 Dad remained as a resident. This was a very difficult time for him after 73 years with Mum and his grief at times was very difficult for
him to cope with. The staff gave Dad the time, care and love he needed.
In October Dad's health declined and he became less mobile spending more time in bed and requiring more care from the staff. I stayed with Dad the last week of October until his very peaceful death. The quality of the care and attention he received from staff cannot be questioned. The dignity given to him was outstanding. The love and care that I and my family received was incredible. I cannot thank the staff enough for making his last days so comfortable and peaceful and for continuing to care for him as the gentleman he was. I know he made an impact on the staff just as they did on our family. Thank you.
Reply from Darren Molyneux, Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor Care HomeThank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt account of your parents time at Wilmslow Manor. It means a great deal to our entire team to know that we were able to support your family through such an emotional and significant chapter.

Your dads strength, love for your mum, and the bond they shared for 73 years touched everyone here. It was a privilege to care for him, and were deeply grateful for the trust you placed in us during both his and your mums final months. Knowing that he felt comfortable, dignified, and at peace is exactly what we strive for, and your words affirm the dedication of our staff.

Were also truly moved that you and your family felt supported and cared for throughout. Your dad made a lasting impression on those who looked after him, and he will be remembered with great fondness.

Thank you again for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. We send our warmest wishes to you and your family.

My dad moved into this care home at the beginning of January 2026. My experience of this care home from my first visit to see if it would be suitable, to date, has been first class. All the staff are warm, friendly, conscientious and have made my dad feel at home and cared for.
I never thought my
dad would like living in a care home, but from day 1 he has loved it. It feels more like a hotel than a care home. Within the short time he has lived there, he seems happier, his mobility is better and he looks about 5 years younger. Thank you to all the staff for providing care second to none. I am encouraged to ask the staff if dad needs anything, nothing is too much trouble. I firmly believe that the ethos in the home comes from having brilliant managers in Nicky and Adele and which is embraced by all the staff in the care, attitude and helpfulness. A very big thank you to all!
Reply from Nikki Foster, Home Manager at Formby Manor Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and uplifting review. We are truly delighted to hear how well your dad has settled in. Knowing that he feels at home, comfortable, and happy means the world to us.
Our team will be over the moon to hear your kind words. We take great pride in creating a warm, friendly, and supportive environment, and it's wonderful to hear that this has made such a positive difference to your dad especially in such a short time. To hear that he looks happier even seems younger is incredibly rewarding.
Thank you also for recognising the work of our team. Their commitment to high-quality care and a positive culture is something we are very proud of, and your feedback highlights exactly why this ethos matters.
Please know that we are always here for you and your dad. No question or request is ever too much trouble, and we're grateful for the review. This has made our day, we all adore your dad

My dad has lived here for almost three years and has received excellent care throughout. He feels safe and respected and loved by all the staff here in every department. He was very poorly last year after being in hospital with pneumonia but the wonderful care he received at Statham Manor has given
him back his spark and his joy in life. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

A beautifully furnished home with a high standard of care. Mum loves being in Fairfax and tells everyone it's her home. Mum is always clean, dressed nicely with her jewellery on - not at all like when she struggled at home. I would highly recommend Fairfax Manor.

Fairfax Manor is a wonderful place with caring, friendly and helpful staff, carers and nurses. Fairfax is welcoming to all visitors. The social areas are inviting to have a coffee/tea with family and friends and the living areas are very cosy and comfortable. Dad has been well cared for since he arrived
and specifically with the treatment he needed. Dad couldn't be in a better place.

As I am retired, I am with my wife most of the day and experience the work of the Carers, Nurses and Management in all situations. I can only laud the dedication, care and empathy of every one involved in the care of the residents.

on their help.
