Regency Care Home

from Fiona E (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My dad has been in the Regency Care Cente, Whitefield , Manchester for the last 14 months after a major stroke. The incredible unwavering care, compassion, and professionalism of the whole team is outstanding.
Watching a loved one go through such a life-changing event, is never easy, but knowing
that he is in the hands of such capable, kind, and attentive people, has brought our family immense comfort. From the leadership team, down to each nurse, caregiver, and support staff member their dedication is outstanding. They treat my dad with dignity, patience, and genuine warmth, and that means the world to us. It is not just the medical care that we appreciate, though that is outstanding - it is the small things too: the gentle encouragement, the friendly conversations, the personal touches and smiles that show they truly care about his wellbeing as a person, not just a patient. These gestures make all the difference and we are extremely grateful and happy with his care

What an absolutely amazing care home. Not only is the decor and food 5* the staff are also 5* they really do care and look after the residents like they are their own family members. My nana came from a previous care home where basic needs weren't being met but upland manor go above and beyond for their

Grosvenor Manor Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Grosvenor Manor cared for my husband with exceptional kindness, dignity, and professionalism during his final days. The team not only provided outstanding nursing care and dignified pain management but also created a warm and supportive environment for me and my daughter to be with him until the end.
The carers were compassionate, organised, and always available, making sure we felt comfortable and well looked after. They provided meals and thoughtful touches that made a very difficult time much more bearable. We will always be grateful for the respect and tenderness shown to my husband and to us as a family. Couldn't recommend Grosvenor Manor more.

Wilmslow Manor Care Home

from A M (Son of Resident) published on 1 December 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I can't praise highly enough Darren and all his team at Wilmslow Manor Care Home. We had been looking for Residential Care for my Step Mum and after meeting Darren and some of his team decided that Wilmslow would be ideal.
To cut a long story short my step mum was discharged from her rehabilitation
centre at VERY short notice but fortunately there was a vacancy at Wilmslow.
Everyone at Wilmslow made the process of getting my step mum settled in a very smooth experience, nothing was too much trouble which has meant she has settled in wonderfully well and is really enjoying life in her new surroundings.
I would thoroughly recommend Wilmslow to anyone seeking residential or nursing care for a member of their family without any hesitation.

My extremely frail father was a resident for the last 6 months of his life. The staff made sure that his care was continually updated as his condition changed, so that he was kept comfortable. The staff were kind and compassionate and got to know my father well. I was always welcome to visit at any
time, and I was kept updated as necessary. The home is purpose built, and very bright, clean and welcoming. The coffee lounge is well used by residents to socialise with each other and with visitors or there are quiet rooms where residents and visitors can relax.

My mum became a resident on the 5/11/25.
The home is like a 5 star hotel she has her own room with a big TV, a wet room and plenty of cupboard space.
They have a beautiful dinning room with 5 star 3 course meals.
The staff are all lovely kind and very caring, always ready to help the residents and
family members. Every member of staff from management the the cleaners are so thoughtful.
My mum is so happy here, as are all her family members.
It's the kind of place every elderly person deserves if they need a care home.

My husband has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor for almost 18 months and the Home have been wonderful in helping him to settle in. The staff are exceptional and respond really quickly to any queries or requests. They have taken a huge amount of trouble to cater for my husband's particular needs and
preferences. There is a wide range of activities for the residents and the food is excellent. The large balconies and garden terrace are lovely as my husband really enjoys sitting out in the sunshine when the weather is good. There is always a bright smiley welcome when I walk through the door and I feel very much at home when I am there.

Mother has been a resident for over a year. She felt fully at home from the first week. Over this time, her needs have changed. The staff have been very supportive to both mother and I, as we adapt to the ways she needs support to access all the activities the home offers. "We are seen". Thank you.

Mum went to Adel Manor in August this year. From the first day, she has been met with nothing but kindness and care by everyone.
The staff are fantastic, they have organised appointments for eye care, hearing and dental needs. When asked, Mum said she would rather be in Adel Manor than at home alone.
This gives so much peace of mind for us. Asked if she had any complaints, she said "the food sometimes", otherwise, no complaints at all.

Bramhall Manor Care Home

Hazel took up residence in December 2024 following an accident at home, suffering a fractured hip. She had earlier been diagnosed with severe COPD and lung metastasis and due to the complications presented it was decided that a hip procedure would have presented undue risk. In the circumstances a return
home was not possible, and her care commenced just prior to Christmas.
I had visited several potential care homes and decided upon Bramhall Manor after a productive meeting with receptionist Sue, and a bed was promptly found. The care provided over many months was most kind and professional, led by Carina, Olivia and Abigail, and many others too numerous to mention were involved in providing a loving environment.

Bramhall Manor Care Centre provided the best care we could have asked for as a family at a very difficult time. The time, compassion and care shown to me and my family was much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and bright, the facilities on each floor were great, and we
would have no hesitation in recommending Bramhall Manor to our friends. All we can say is a huge "thank you".

Both my parents (aged 93 years) moved into Bramhall Manor in May this year on discharge from hospital. I wanted them both to live in the same home which took some organising and Rowena (Manager) helped greatly and even arranged rooms next door to each other! It was a very difficult and emotional
time for us as a family. However, staff went out of their way to offer comfort and support to us all which helped with the transition. My father was in very poor health when he arrived in Bramhall Manor but with the skilled care and support all the staff have provided, his health has improved to the point where he can now spend some time with my mother (which we thought may never happen due to how poorly he was). My family and are very grateful to everyone who works at Bramhall Manor. I feel my parents are in good hands .

It is so reassuring to know that Audrey is being well looked after and cared for. We really look forward to visiting; the home is so welcoming and staff are so friendly. It is an added bonus being able to take the dog to visit Audrey and this makes her day. It feels very homely when we are there.
Dad enjoys having a meal when he visits and the food is fantastic considering how many they are catering for. Thank you to everyone who works so hard.

Mum never wanted to leave her own home but when it became apparent she needed 24 hour care, we decided on Regency.
We received a very warm welcome when we went to look round the home.
Her room is lovely, bright, and well decorated.
Staff are friendly, caring, nothing is too much trouble.
The nurses
on Phillips unit are professional caring and act quickly if mum is unwell, this is very reassuring to us as a family.
The home has an ongoing refurbishment programme, creating a calm, bright ambiance for residents to enjoy , looks more like a hotel in all communal areas. Relatives and friends have lots of comfortable areas to sit, chat and enjoy a cuppa on visits.
Our mum chooses not to join in activities, saying that the activities team do a fabulous job.
We certainly made the right choice for mum, who is happy and content.
I would not hesitate to recommend the home to anyone who is looking for a good standard of care and support for their loved one

Mum has been a resident at Regency for about 18 months and is very happy there. She has an excellent relationship with the friendly and professional team. Regency have been excellent in providing nursing care for mum. They have treated her with respect and dignity. They listen to what we have to say as relatives. and value our opinions. They have understood mum's religious and cultural needs and are offering her the opportunity to still engage in her
traditions
If they have been concerned about her health they have been quick to respond and consult with the out of hours doctor.
We had concerns about mum going into nursing care but Regency have alleviated any concerns in the care they offer and their openness in addressing any issues about mum with her son and daughter.
Staff know relatives by name are always welcoming when we visit.
The Manager and Deputy manager are approachable and will make time to listen to any concerns.
