I have a friend who lives and is taken care of at the Hilton house in Stoke-on-Trent and I am extremely grateful for all the work and time they all do to support my friend with all her dressing, eating and medical needs.
Every time i go to visit my friend the staff and home manager always make the
time to come and speak to me about my friend and any worries I have .If o were to ever need the service I would gladly use the Hilton House because of all the amazing work they do for my friend and the rest of the ladies and gentlemen they look after.

I can't speak highly enough of this care home. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely care about the residents' wellbeing. Every member of the team is professional, patient, and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and valued. The home itself is spotless, well-organised,
and has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. It's clear that the management team take great pride in running the home to a very high standard. Families are kept well-informed and always made to feel part of the process. I have complete confidence that residents here are in excellent Hands !

I feel I need to express how very grateful I am with staff at Hilton House for the compassion on getting my mum ready for my daughter's/her granddaughter's wedding day. Unfortunately, my mum was unable to go, so I video called my mum and she watched her granddaughter walk down the aisle at the home.
Thank you to the staff and my mum's old carer who came to the home to help. I can not put into words how much this meant, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Reply from Anoop Mathew, Home Manager at Hilton HouseThank you for your lovely words. We're so glad we could help your mum share such a special moment with you all. It was our privilege to support her on the day, and I'll make sure to pass on your thanks to the team. Moments like these are why we do what we do.

Staff are very friendly, residents are looked after, they look happy, and every time I visit it's clean. Any concerns, they are happy to help. I've never had any problems since I have been coming. It would be nice if they had free activity days out, because some people don't have the money to pay for
those kind of luxuries.
Reply from Caroline Jones, General Manager at Hilton HouseThank you very much for your feedback. We're delighted to hear your kind words and take on board your comments regarding the day trips. These will be increased when the weather warms up - we have plans to visit local parks, museums and even a farm in the Spring to see the animals. These will be free to join, with just a small optional cost to feed the animals (only a few pence) or browse gift shops. There is lots coming up! Thanks again and take care.

I find the staff prepared to go out of their way to help or explain anything. They are always checking how the residents are and if they have any extra needs.
They are always up for a laugh and at the same time make sure everyone is safe. Could not find a better care home. The rooms are cleaned, laundry
done daily and residents are showered daily.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.783)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.783) out of 10 for Hilton House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.783 for Hilton House is calculated as follows: ( (204 Excellents x 5) + (36 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 249 Ratings = 4.783
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hilton House is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 registered maximum number of service users is 11, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
