I find all the staff to be extremely friendly, helpful & genuinely loving to all residents. The home is spotless throughout, extremely well managed and has a warm happy feeling when ever I visit. The activities team are amazing providing the residents with a wide range of activities, the staff again are so friendly & loving to residents. Having previously been in a different home under another company The Waterside stands out by far on every level, totally outstanding care home in my experience and I could not be more satisfied or comfortable with the level of care my mum is getting there. I stayed in Formby Manor for a short period of convalescence after hospital. I was made to feel very welcome + all staff were friendly + supportive. Some staff went above + beyond to help. The room was missing a few essential items but they were provided on request. The food was adequate but could have been a little more varied. The dining rooms and lounges are very well presented. The activities co-ordinator provides a varied programme + trips for those who wish to take part. I enjoyed a very restful stay.

The management team are extremely approachable and happy to help with any issue or enquiry. They also personally oversee residents' welfare, taking the time to get to know each person and understand their needs.

The onsite kitchen does a fantastic job of catering for individual needs. The care home and rooms are nicely decorated, giving the whole place a fresh, modern feel. It is always kept very clean, and the laundry service is excellent.

I would highly recommend Formby Manor.

I really can't recommend Formby Manor highly enough!

Staff have started to feel like an extension of our family, they care for dad as if he was their own.

Mum has received excellent care all round since moving in a few months ago. The staff are fantastic. For instance, even if they are taking a break outside, they still offer to help getting Mum into the car. And when she had a fall, they brought a nurse from upstairs to check her over and kept me informed about calling the paramedics and progress. They also encourage her to join activities and even helped her create a quiz for the other residents. I highly recommend them.

I cannot find fault with Formby Manor. Everybody in the home takes time both with the residents - their families. The facilities are exceptional. It is like being in a hotel. The home is spacious. The garden areas are well maintained. The food is of a high standard & the dining rooms are like a restaurant with tablecloths and menus. Nothing is too much trouble. The residents are all treated as individuals. The care shown is genuine. The daily activities cater for all & the trips out are just another nice touch. Highly recommend. Thank you all

Dad is so happy living at Charlotte House. Best decision we made. He couldn't think about living anywhere else now. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.

My mother came to Charlotte House in mid February 2026, having been in residential care elsewhere for five and a half years. Mums dementia/alzheimer's had become more challenging and it was mutually agreed that she needed a different form of care, albeit not EMI. Charlotte House was just the answer. Mum had a lovely room which was kept immaculately clean and she always had clean clothing available in her dressing table. The clothes cleaning regime was excellent, particularly as mum was incontinent and had very little awareness of her daily needs. The food was good and her carers and all staff were lovely, with good senses of humour, which mum liked, and they provided quick attention when interventions were required. Sadly mum passed away very suddenly at the beginning of May, and we received a very nice condolence card from the home.

When you arrive at the nursing home, always say "hello"; sometimes management acknowledges you. Now I am in customer service, it takes nothing to say hello. I know people are busy, but in front of visitors, always pass the time of day. When you ask a problem, you feel as if it a inconvenience, but when being shown around. completely different. Very dissatisfied as pay a lot of money

A welcoming and friendly environment giving dignity and life to all residents with every worry and anxiety caringly overcome, and both service user and family listened to, and well fed. A delightful and caring place.

My mum has been in Formby manor 2 years she is doing so well the staff are top class she is so happy always a big smile on her face also always taking part in the activities all of that staff from the management to all the carers can't do enough for her. I live.in Greece so it gives me peace of mind knowing she is looked after so well just want to thank your wonderful team..

My mother in law stayed at Formby Manor recently for respite, we cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention they gave her during her stay .Always important to feel are lover ones are being looked after ,we felt very comfortable in this respect.
