Charlotte House is a warm, spacious and welcoming care home where a highly trained team offer high quality residential, nursing, respite and palliative care in comfortable, homely surroundings.

Upon arrival, residents are supported by the staff to develop a personalised care plan using an electronic comprehensive integrated Care Planning system. This not only records information around an individual's care needs but also includes interests, hobbies and dietary preferences. This system gives everyone involved in residents’ care instant access to care information and preferences from their individual care plan to provide responsive and person-centred care.

They use an electronic medication system for clear and accurate and safe administration of medications and also assist residents, who are able to and chose to, look after their own medications.

Varied, imaginative and meaningful activities are planned by the home's Activities Coordinator and delivered by the whole team. Activities are chosen based on discussions with residents and their relatives.

A daily menu is prepared by the on-site chef who creates restaurant-style meals from locally sourced ingredients. Residents have the option to eat in their own rooms or in the dining room - which is a hub of conversation and laughter.

Charlotte House is a modern, spacious and welcoming care home. All staff from the cleaners up to the management are helpful and efficient, as well as displaying a caring, gentle approach to the residents. They do what they say they will and the organisation is tremendous. My husband is a stickler for
time. He said 'they say they'll be there at a time and they are, I don't know how they do it!'. Charlotte House staff have made the difficult transition from 52 years living together much more bearable that it would otherwise have been. Thank you.

All of the nursing care staff are kind and efficient. The cleaning staff are hard working and good humoured. Catering is a good standard. Reception and administration staff are very pleasant and efficient.
The manager is evasive, illusive and difficult to contact and avoids personal contact with residents
and relatives. In a whole year I have not met him once and I have only glimpsed him four times. He does not return phone calls when arranged. He is indeed remote.

My mother was fast tracked from hospital for end of life care. She was there for just over a week before sadly passing away. I can only say that we felt very lucky that mum went to Charlotte House, because her care was outstanding. All the staff were brilliant and ensured mum's last few days were

Exceptional care and comfort at Charlotte House Care Home.
We cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding care that Charlotte House Care Home has provided for our mother. From the moment we chose this facility, we felt a deep sense of peace knowing she would be in the best possible hands. Every
single day, the team ensures that her days are filled with comfort, love, and the dignity she so rightfully deserves.
The staff go above and beyond to create a serene and warm environment, always attentive to her needs, and making sure she feels valued and cared for. My mum came to Charlotte House after having a fall at home and breaking her hip. She was unable to walk. After the sixth week of respite, as a family, it was decided that Mum was better in Charlotte House, as she lived alone. Mum has adapted to the care home environment really well and loves all the
staff and the interaction with the residents. The home is always immaculate. The food is excellent, and Mum's put weight on. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

My mum moved to Charlotte House in May 2023. The staff have been very kind and caring, especially to me as a distressed daughter with a mum suffering with dementia. The reception area is warm and welcoming, it is very spacious and has a nice seating area and drinks machine. The rooms are pretty modern
and a nice size. I have never experienced any bad smells coming from the home, it is always clean and tidy. I looked at at least a dozen homes is definitely one of the nicer ones!

My dad lived at Charlotte House from November 2022 until he passed away in March 2023. We couldn’t have been happier with the care he received. What a fabulous staff team. They looked after him so well and were always very kind and respectful, particularly at the end of his life. We are very grateful

My mum has been at Charlotte House since February 2020. She is very well looked after and treated with lots of love and with dignity. Her health has deteriorated during the time she has been there, but staff are always positive with her and optimistic. Meals are adapted to her needs, and she is offered
assistance when required. Charlotte House is very welcoming to residents and visitors. Pleasant ambience.

My mum is coming up to her first anniversary of living in Charlotte House; she settled in well and is happy there.
Whenever I've had a concern or an issue with anything relating to Mum's care, support etc, I have had access to any relevant staff and management, and my concerns etc, have been dealt
with promptly and addressed accordingly.
The clients are well presented, supported and entertained daily, the establishment's cleanliness is well maintained, and the staff are welcoming and friendly all the time whenever I call in.
Would I recommend Charlotte House to others then, yes, 100%.

We have found Charlotte House to be the best place we could have re-homed Mum.
Firstly, they looked after Dad until he passed with great care and dignity. The nursing staff are amazing. The staff on all levels are caring, so friendly and professional. Mum loves the staff like her own and that gives
us such peace of mind, and they keep her entertained/stimulated with all the activities planned weekly.

I have worked in the care industry for 29 years to date.


I have managed a range of different services, from commissioning new services through to troubleshooting and improving struggling homes. I have also had experience as a regional manager which gave me the opportunity to manage people that have become dispersed across several local authorities.


I have a degree in management, a registered managers award, Level 5 in care management. I am also a trained dementia tutor. I am passionate about providing excellent care. I pride myself in inspiring my team to make a difference in our resident's lives.
