Had an excellent experience with a carer who went above and beyond in a difficult situation with my mum. The carer was calm, practical and showed compassion. She demonstrated clearly that she has built up a friendship and trust with Mum. This was much appreciated. Also a mention to the home for all
the recent improvements. Rhiwlas is much tidier, better presented and the improvements to the residents' activities and entertainment are massive. Mum really seems to enjoy now.

Mum spent 6 months in Bod Hyfyd. She was in bed on end of life care. She was so happy and comfy there. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. She was looked after by amazing carers and nurses, who genuinely cared for her. Mum was always treated with respect and dignity.
They made her 90th birthday
very special. We spent mums final day with her, the staff were kind and compassionate at a very sad and difficult time.
Bod Hyfyd must be very proud of their staff.

My mother has been in Bod Hyfryd for a few months now, in a Nursing EMI bed. The home is clean and the room is spacious. They are very attentive to her needs and ensure she is clean and has prompt pain killers, when needed. The staff are very friendly.

We have noticed a vast improvement in the management of the care provided over the last two months. The environment has been improved dramatically and the wellbeing programme offered is varied and comprehensive. Staff appear to have a clearer vision of what is expected of them and the atmosphere is
calm and happy. Carers are respectful and treat our mother with care and dignity which is vitally important to us as a family.

My father was a resident for just over 3 years. During which time he received caring, dignified support from all staff until his passing in mid-March. The care he received during his final weeks was excellent and he was cared for with such love and attention, and we as a family were well looked after
too. The change in management and appointment of a wellbeing co-ordinator saw a noticeable improvement in the refurbishment of the care home and activities for residents. The care home staff were just amazing, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, team.

We found the home to be really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful and all knew our aunt's name. Lots of activities go on throughout the day and lots of other rooms if you don't want to join in. Our aunt seems happy and says the staff are wonderful. We were extremely happy with our visit.

My father has been in Rhiwlas 5 years with dementia. The care, attention, one-to-one and friendships made helped Dad right till the end. Dad passed yesterday. I was supported by Reshma, Sakski, Nikki, Denise, Trudy, Rahouol, to name just a few of a lovely team that have made me and my family so supported

My uncle is very comfortable and happy in his room. It is a bright, airy room on the ground floor. The resident handyman has fixed a tv on the wall and put picture hooks up. He can go to the lounge whenever he wants. There are plenty of activities if he wants to join in. He's been out on a few
trips and really enjoyed himself. He can have a haircut and foot care on request. Food is good and plentiful. Thank you to Aimee, interim Manager for all her support.

My wife was in Bod Hyfryd Care Home for over two years, she passed away on Sunday 25th Jan in hospital.
The care she received over that time was exceptional from every level of staff, I would say they are friends not staff. I would reccomend this establishment to anyone.

As I am retired, I am with my wife most of the day and experience the work of the Carers, Nurses and Management in all situations. I can only laud the dedication, care and empathy of every one involved in the care of the residents.
I am very grateful that my wife can be here as she is completely dependent

I was overwhelmed each and every morning & evening by the kind, compassionate care, & encouragement of each & every staff who took care of my uncle. The prospect of putting a loved one into a care home can be quite daunting but since my family member has been in this care home I have found all the staff to be very warm, welcoming and friendly. They are so accommodating to his needs and compassionate with his care. The on site healthcare is exceptional.
Honestly I've been so impressed with this home I've considered checking in myself.

I am sure, like a lot of people, I had great misgivings about placing my mum into a care home. After living with and caring for her for three years, I found it extremely difficult to let go. However, mum went into Rhiwlas for respite, and when I saw the change in her, I was absolutely amazed. Ninety-eight
years of age, she has brightened up immensely. Everyone who visits her says the same thing: 'What a change in her.'
I have found all the staff to be totally dedicated to the residents, and I am continually impressed by the care and love that everyone shows. My mum is very comfortable, safe, happy and enjoying excellent food, she tells me. I don't think I could've found a better place for her, and I hope she can continue to enjoy her time at the 'hotel' as she calls it. I don't think she's far wrong either.

Every member of staff is extremely helpful and I would highly recommend this care home in every respect. The care my Mother has received is second to none. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. In fact I am 65 myself and I wouldn't have any hesitation in going here myself should the need arise

My mum had several illnesses including dementia, so she needed physical and mental health nursing. I asked for a room overlooking fields to remind her of home and she got just that-it was lovely. The home is very welcoming, clean, well decorated, really good food. The staff were happy and plentiful,
nothing to much trouble. My mum was cared for with the best patience and dignity by people who truly cared and are a credit to the home manager who has a very dedicated team which she is obviously very proud of. All of you are very special people.
