Egerton Manor Care Home

Mum has had Alzheimer's dementia for almost 12 years, she has been in the home for almost 3 years. She is well looked after, well fed (as she keeps putting weight on) she is mostly happy + cheery when I visit. The staff communicate well about anything mum needs + they like caring for her. Many thanks to all the staff.

Having visit the home with my best friend and knowing the love + emotional connection she has with her mum this is what I observed. The care home has warm + inviting environment, warm + welcoming. Rooms are spacious + bright allowing families that home from home feel the need with their loved ones, but what stands out most is the big family vibe between all staff, residents + outer community.

Mum has been living at Egerton Manor for nearly two years. Mum has dementia and is 89 years old. Mum wants to come home but has no concept of what home is, she thinks I am her sister and that my brother is her husband. It is very upsetting to see her decline. We searched dozens of homes before we found Egerton Manor. The home is beautiful, the food is great and there are a range of activities everyday. For me the most important element to mum's care are the excellent, kind, professional staff, I visit often and have peace of mind she is in the best hands

My Mum is my world, after caring for her for over five years, due to medical Issues I found myself in a position that I could not give her the Care she deserved. Having done extensive research I found one of two care homes I was prepared to place my mum. Egerton Manor being my first choice, from the moment of first contact with it's manager it was clear there was something special about this place. From manager to staff top middle and all, the home is filled with a warm welcoming atmosphere and genuine kindness with all staff going beyond and above to meet the needs of the residents truly caring for their individual needs!!

Egerton Manor is a wonderful care home, I can't praise everyone enough. We can't believe how well my mum has settled and how happy she is. It's a beautiful environment with amazing staff and fabulous and varied entertainment. Everyone is very caring and kind. Every day there are fabulous activities and trips with so much variety, I don't know how they keep thinking them up.

Mum came to Egerton Manor for respite following recent falls & subsequent pelvis fracture. The care mum received was excellent, the carers were very helpful and caring and accomodated mums needs really well. Mum enjoyed the food immensely, the choice was really good and of really good quality. The environment in the home is lovely with lots of activities + facilities such as the hairdresser. Mum left the home after respite care feeling so much better and was just what she needed. I would definitely recommend Egerton Manor as excellent.

My Dad is a resident of Egerton Manor for 3 months and I am amazed at how well he is being looked after and I am very grateful for the Care that the team give to my Dad. He is treated with genuine care and support and since being in the home his health has improved and his walking is better than it has been in the last 5 years. The team are miracle workers and Dad is so happy here. It really is amazing what they do. The best Care ever.

From my very first visit to look around Egerton Manor I have been very impressed. The standard of the buildings and garden is wonderful. Since my husband has become a resident his care has been exemplary. The staff without exception are empathetic to my husband and myself. They carry out his nursing needs with compassion and integrity. I would recommend Egerton Manor to others in my situation.

Back in June 2026 my Aunt has recently made her home at Egterton Manor and has settled very well within in this establishment. The Management team are supportive and welcoming, and the whole family as made the transition for my Aunt a very less stressful and upsetting procedure , and turned it into a positive experience for my Aunt and us as a family. Ghe home is spotlessly clean and the food and amenties are absolutley 5 star rating. Thanks so much Egerton Manorx

My Aunt came into Egerton Manor recently and she absolutley loves it. Everything is 5 star rating, and the management team is second to none, we are delighted and would highly reccomend it. Cannot thank them enough.

Grandad is at Egerton Manor. I can't rate it highly enough. The care shown by the staff, home is beautiful, and he is very happy here. Would recommend to anyone needing a care home. Nothing is ever too much to ask.

What a wonderful care home this is! Without exception, the staff show so much love, care and compassion for the residents in their care and treat them with the utmost dignity and respect. As relatives, we are always made to feel so welcome and love visiting and experiencing the relaxed, happy, loving atmosphere and hearing the residents' laughter and chatting together. A diverse range of activities (including trips out!) are on offer morning and afternoon, seven days a week. It has been great to see Mum joining in with these with enthusiasm! The home facilities are comfortable and modern, and the garden areas are a lovely place to sit and have a sing song in the sunshine! Relatives are also able to share a delicious meal with the residents in the dining room. The food is delicious!

If you were to describe a care home ideal for a loved one; caring staff, beautiful environment, top class food, activities all day long then that is what Egerton Manor is. Every member of staff is excellent, I could not be happier with it and more importantly my mum absolutely loves it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Every visit to the care home is a joy. The staff are always smiling and willing to help in any way they can. A great care home full of great people!

I guess no one would choose to be in a care home, but Egerton Manor is nothing like a care home - it's more like a 5 star hotel. All the staff are wonderfully kind and caring, and really go above and beyond to make residents feel like it's home and visitors feel like they are truly welcomed. You simply won't find a more supportive place.

My mum came for 2 weeks respite before christmas - now permanent. She has settled really well and is very much enjoying the activities. The staff are very patient and caring. The food is varied and delicious - good that there is a choice. Her room is always clean. My one niggle is communication - i.e to the family. This is the only thing that could be improved.

My mum has settled really well here at Egerton Manor. All staff have been very helpful and accommodating in ensuring she feels at home, from her room, food choices and eating with the other residents. Her confidence and overall wellbeing has massively improved. It has been wonderful visiting my mum and seeing her so happy and also being able to just be her daughter again, sitting and chatting. We are both very happy.

Although I have no personal experience of Egerton Manor, I am a good friend of one of your residents, and my daughter is linked through work. I am therefore very happy to provide a review. I understand Egerton Manor Care Home provides the highest standards of care and safety. The staff are fully dedicated and provide an excellent environment for wellbeing.

My only slight criticism is that recently, I've struggled to get through on the telephone+ get an update on how my dad is doing. Living in Derbyshire, it's important to be able to get these updates. Appreciate that many times in the day staff are busy with residents.

My mum could not be better cared for. The staff here are amazing. The rooms are beautiful. The food delicious. My mum has so improved in herself - being more positive, laughing, dementia receding. Mum loves the company of both staff and other guests. The entertainment is excellent, day trips out. Great outdoors. Everything 100%. Thank you you have helped take away a lot of stress and worries.
