From day one of care , starting at respite and carrying on for full resident for 18 months , until his passing , GRAPPENHALL Manor staff were excellent. His stay there was 5star rating in every aspect. Cleanliness, fun, food. In my Fathers words - I am really happy here, well fed, well cared for and safe. We are like a family.

My father was so well looked after during the almost 2 years he lived at Grappenhall Manor. He made the choice to stay there during a period of respite. He felt safe and supported and the staff showed him genuine affection. As a family we always felt welcome and were reassured that he was in the best place. The staff worked hard to ensure he was included in the excellent range of activities on offer, even when he was reluctant to move out of bed! My mother also spent a few precious weeks there with Dad before she died and everyone did their utmost to ensure they were able to spend as much time together as possible. Thank you to all the staff for caring for Mum and Dad when the family were no longer able to do so, it means so much.

A close family friend of our has recently moved to Grappenhall for respite care. I want to say how grateful we are for the care and kindness shown by all the staff at this home. From the moment you walk through the door, there's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and it's clear the residents are genuinely cared for and treated with dignity and respect.
The staff go above and beyond every single day, not only looking after residents' needs but also making them feel safe and comfortable in an immaculately clean home- and I must mention the beautiful garden views! .
Nothing ever seems too much trouble.
It's lovely to see how happy and settled our friend is here. the overall environment is wonderful, but it's the people who truly make this place special.

Thank you to the entire team for the amazing work you do - it is very much appreciated.

The staff at this care home were excellent in the care of my mother in her final days. They treated her with dignity and in the final few hours they were in total support of our family making mums passing easier to deal with. We appreciate everything you have done for mum and the family.

9 months of wonderful care so far in a care home I can only describe as the most homely, clean, bright and welcoming place - Grappenhall Manor Care Home is as close as possible to being in one's own home rather than a care home.. We are able to share delicious lunches, afternoon tea in the lounges , visit the beautiful gardens , participate in the wide variety of daily activities, organise wheelchair taxis and even use the hair salon when we visit !! The staff are all so welcoming and make time to listen. We love that Grappenhall is dog friendly- seeing a pet can really lift someone's spirits . There are photo boards and information booklets in the spacious Reception area keeping us up to date and an electronic signing in and out book. Safety codes on all main doors and lifts also keeps everyone safe. Room motion detectors are also used if necessary. All the staff are professional and thoughtful. We can't thank them enough for making a difficult time that much easier.

From the moment my Mum arrived, she was treated with genuine care, dignity, and compassion. Knowing she was surrounded by people who truly cared about her as a person brought me real comfort during the hardest time of my life.

The team didn't just look after my Mum, they made myself and the whole family feel loved and welcomed.

The love and care you've shown means the world to me. I will always be grateful and will forever consider you all family.

My mum is a resident & has been since August 2025. For mother's day this year myself & her granddaughters had Sunday Lunch with her. The food was exceptional but most of all it's the compassion & empathy that the staff show us at such a difficult time. Knowing that mum is being looked after and cared for in the way she is makes a difficult time easier to bare.

Due to having recent surgery my husband who has mild dementia went into Grappenhall Manor for respite care for 1 month. He'd never been in respite before and to my relief settled in nicely. The care and attention was second to none and the meals were excellent. I even ate there myself for Sunday lunch. But most of all the staff were wonderful. They were all very attentive and it helped in settle in nicely. Even when I would ring in the evening to ask if a certain channel could be put on TV. They did this straight away. I would definately recommend Grappenhall Manor. Thank you to everyone.

My mum came to Grappenhall Manor on a D2A from hospital in October 2023 and remained there until she passed recently. Having had a stroke many years previously, she had limited mobility and difficulty with verbal communication but the staff were so incredibly kind and patient spending the time to understand her, but also helping her to integrate with other residents in the home which was so important as my mum was a very sociable person and loved the interaction with both staff and residents.

The place itself is more like a 5 star hotel than a care home. It's spacious and beautifully decorated with lovely gardens to relax in during the warmer months. There are well organised daily activities, the food is amazing and every member of staff is so kind and caring. I honestly can't have wished for a better place for my mum to spend her last two years, she LOVED every minute, as did I!

My dad came in for respite whilst my mum went for an operation. He was in for almost 4 weeks. He was made to feel he was part of one big family. The staff went above and beyond to help him and us. The asked about how mum was recovering which helped him to feel connected. He ate and slept extremely well and all visitors including his dog were made to feel very welcome. A huge thanks to all the Grappenhall Manor.

My 80 year old mum was admitted for nursing care as she had brain cancer. As her condition changed, the whole team were so very supportive and adapted her care to ensure that my mum was very well looked after. As mum became non-verbal, the team took on the challenging situation with great empathy and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble.

I feel very comforted to know that my mum's final time of life was that she was looked after by such a capable group of amazing people, and to me, that is priceless.

Mum was discharged from hospital via step-down care over two years ago and settled into Grappenhall Manor very quickly. From the moment she arrived, we knew we had found somewhere very special.
Rooms are beautiful and spacious, many with lovely garden views, and the whole home feels more like a five-star boutique hotel than a care facility. Food is excellent, staff are fantastic, the carers and nurses are truly amazing.
There is a fabulous weekly activity program that residents and visiting family can join in with. The lounges are welcoming with large TVs and comfortable furnishings, creating lovely open spaces to relax and socialise.
An on site salon with a visiting hairdresser, a visiting podiatrist, regular trips out, and visitors are even welcome to bring their dogs in, which is such a thoughtful touch. The gardens are beautiful, and in the summer, activities out in the warmer weather are enjoyed.

The kindness, professionalism and genuine care of staff became our extended family.

It is so reassuring to know that Audrey is being well looked after and cared for. We really look forward to visiting; the home is so welcoming and staff are so friendly. It is an added bonus being able to take the dog to visit Audrey and this makes her day. It feels very homely when we are there. Dad enjoys having a meal when he visits and the food is fantastic considering how many they are catering for. Thank you to everyone who works so hard.

Charlotte Job Title:Home MangerJoined: 2022

I’m Charlotte Sherrocks, and I have worked in the health and social care since leaving education, qualifying as a registered nurse in 1996. My N.H.S. ward experience was gained in general medicine, trauma and orthopaedics. I also hold a BSc Health and Social Care degree, mentoring, management and clinical qualifications.

I left the N.H.S. and joined the private sector, where I have undertaken roles including that of General Manager, Clinical Services Manager, Clinical Development Nurse and Regional Support Manager. These opportunities have given me a wealth of knowledge and vast experience in the care of older adults. My passion is to deliver high-quality standards and a person-centred, individualised approach to care.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the cinema and going to the gym.

Jessica
Jessica Job Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2023

I joined Grappenhall Manor when we first opened our doors in 2023, beginning my journey here as a Registered Staff Nurse. Since then, I have been delighted to have accepted the position of Deputy Manager, working alongside our Home Manager, Charlotte.

I am genuinely grateful for the support I’ve received from our residents, colleagues, relatives, and the wider Lovett community throughout this journey.

My career in health and social care began in 2013 as a Care Assistant. I later qualified as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2020, graduating from the University of Salford. Since then, the majority of my post-registration experience has been within nursing home settings - an environment where my commitment and enthusiasm continue to grow.

Our team at Grappenhall Manor is exceptional, and I am proud of the compassionate care and consistent support we provide to our residents, their families, and one another.

I have worked as a well-being coordinator for a number of years and loved every second. At university, I studied dance, and for one of my modules, I looked at how dance can benefit people living with dementia. That was when I knew what career path I wanted to follow. I want to make sure everyone is able to have fun and look forward to what is on our wellbeing programme.

Outside of work, I am a member of a dance crew where we have gone to competitions around Europe and are currently working on getting a place in Worlds in America. I also enjoy running and recently completed the Great North Run, which I'm super proud of. Grappenhall Manor is a lovely place to work, and I can't wait to spend many more years here.
