Welcome to Ashlands Manor; a lovely and luxurious care home located in the charming village of Ashton-on-Mersey in Sale, South Manchester.

Ashlands Manor is a purpose-built 57 bed ‘new generation’ care facility that has been expertly designed to meet all current CQC requirements and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. The care home offers residential and specialist dementia care.

Internally, the attention to detail is impressive. The high specification and décor of Ashlands Manor have been carefully considered by an interior designer, creating stylish yet comfortable and practical spaces for residents to enjoy.

Arranged over three floors, the facilities at Ashlands Manor are exceptional, with each floor enjoying its own communal lounge and dining room. All bedrooms boast en-suite wet rooms, and there is also a spa-assisted bathroom, hairdresser and nail bar.

There is a beautiful, mature garden at Ashlands Manor, along with an additional sensory garden and a terrace to the first floor. Making the most of its gorgeous grounds, almost all of the ground floor bedrooms have direct access to the gardens.

Every day, Ashlands Manor goes above and beyond for every resident.


On a wish tree, I mentioned that mum loved horses and dogs. Shortly after, ponies had been arranged to visit the home. Mum's face lit up at the special experience, and as a family, it was so lovely to see this as we were unsure

mum would ever be able to enjoy the company of horses again. But Ashlands didn't stop there! A dog show is organised for over the bank holiday, which we will enjoy attending with mum.


However, what is important is 'the everyday'. Every time I visit, I see such warm and loving staff, who are gentle, compassionate and supportive. This is every staff member, from reception to catering, from entertainment team to carers. I can genuinely say they go the extra mile for not just residents, but their families too. If we arrive, at what could be an inconvenient time, adaptations are made so we can still spend time with our loved one. Nothing is too much trouble. They really are angels in disguise.

The care that Ashlands Manor provided for my mum was beyond anything we could have hoped for. The facilities are second to none but more importantly the staff are extremely kind and caring to both residents and their families. My mum passed away at Ashlands, the way she was looked after during her final
days gave me and my family great comfort during an extremely sad time.

My wife was admitted to Ashlands Manor Care Centre in poor health physically and mentally. She had a fall recently & broke her pelvis/femur and had suffered severe mental trauma leading to dementia and an inability to walk. She had undergone a period of care at home which has proved to be impractical
due to her double incontinence and her aggressive behaviour towards carers. Since being at Ashlands her physical condition has improved considerably, although her mental condition has slowly worsened she eats heartily, has put on weight and is no longer aggressive towards carers.

I never cease to be impressed when visiting my dear friend. The recent VE day celebrations and acknowledgement of international nurses day was humbling and delightful. My mum has been a resident at Ashlands for just over a year. She started off on the residential floor and about 6 months ago, moved up to the dementia floor. Mum has advanced dementia and has good and bad days and two days ago she didn't know me but today she does. My mum is as happy as its possible
for her to be at Ashlands and right from walking through the reception to seeing Mum in her room, all the staff here are kind and friendly. They all work so hard and try to stimulate the residents.

My father is very well looked after at Ashlands Manor Care Centre. The staff are kind and friendly to both my father and me. He is comfortable in his room and the home communal areas. The home is clean and tidy. Staff make sure he is eating and drinking and tend to his personal hygiene. They chat to
him and know what he needs to make him happy.

I entered the home to a lovely welcome from the reception lady, she gave me all the information I needed. I visited my friend and was pleasantly surprised. The home is a vibrant friendly place spotlessly clean and warm and very calm. I was also introduced to the nurse WOW!! what a charming lovely young

My sister moved into Ashlands last October, 2024. She has been very happy and is cared for very well, the staff are amazing.
It gives me peace of mind knowing she is happy and settled. I would recommend Ashlands Manor to anyone struggling to live alone and needs specialised attention.

My mother has been at Ashlands Manor Care Centre since before Christmas. She never wanted to enter a care home and was very reluctant and unrealistic. She has been made welcome, made new friends amongst the other residents. Been encouraged to join activities and received exceptional care. She is still
struggling to adjust and becomes very confused at times. We are able to relax, trusting that she is being so nicely cared for. She looks well-groomed and always dressed nicely. Very dignified care.

Job Title: Home Manager

Hello, my name is Octavia, and I’m delighted to introduce myself as the newly promoted Home Manager at Ashlands Manor Care Centre. I began my journey in healthcare back in 2000 as a student nurse, and since qualifying, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including Intensive Care, medical and surgical wards, primary care, and corporate health. Six years ago, I moved into health and social care—and I haven’t looked back since. Working in a care home environment has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s where I’ve truly found my passion. I have a strong interest in end-of-life care and dementia support, and I find deep fulfilment in helping residents live with dignity, comfort, and connection. Before joining New Care, I held roles as a Unit Manager and also acted as Deputy Manager, which gave me valuable experience in leading care teams and maintaining high-quality care standards. When I discovered New Care, I immediately felt aligned with their values and vision. Their commitment to person-centred care, delivered in beautifully designed and engaging environments, is something I’m proud to be part of. Ashlands Manor is a truly special place, and I feel honoured to lead such a dedicated and compassionate team. In my new role as Home Manager, I remain committed to supporting both residents and staff, fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and excellence. I began working within the care industry when I was 18. I started off as a care assistant in a residential care home after looking after my mum. Over the years I have progressed up to team leader, in home trainer and now working as the head of residential care here at Ashlands. During this time, I have worked with a variety of people from all walks of life. Developing my skills along the way. I have a particular passion for dementia and person-centred care. I particularly enjoy my Job here at Ashland's as it allows me to bring together the skills I have learnt while continuing to develop and provide person centred care to our residents.

I joined Newcare in November 2021 as a Team Leader and have worked in the care sector over 15 years in various roles starting as a bank care assistant and moving up to Deputy Manager in my previous job. I am passionate about providing person centred care to the residents we support. My greatest reward in care is working with people living with Dementia. I love working in care as it is fulfilling in making a difference in the residents’ lives, we support and to ensure that they are happy and cared for. I hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management. Since joining Newcare it was evident that the company put the residents first as stated in its Philosophy and vision. I am happy to be a part of Ashlands team and will continue to ensure our residents are cared for to the high standard whilst upholding the company's values.

I ultimately had a real desire to work within the healthcare sector and was very keen to bring my wide knowledge and experience from my previous roles into this job.
